    Definitely one of the more competent tutorials on TH-cam, really good information and no-BS solutions. Good idea to show the corresponding parameters in Premiere and Resolve back to back as well!

    Very good tutorial! I Would love a follow-up to how you handle footage taken with consumer grade action cameras, such as GoPro and Mavic drones. The qualifiers on 8-bit footage do not behave as nicely as what you posted, or I may be just pushing too hard, and expecting too much from that type of cameras?

    is there a video talking about the luma vs. sat curve? that step is a big one i feel, and i want to understand it more. it seems that's the difference maker after you apply a color grade in the shadows

    I'm following all the directions for Halation, but once I press change the Opacity blend mode to "Screen", nothing happens. The image still is black with red blurry dots everywhere. I've tried multiple times. How do I fix this?

    When I get to the Halation part, the gaussian blur and colorize just affect the entire clip, even with the composite mode selected to screen. How do I correct this?

      I think it needs to be on and adjustment layer and than the blend mode is set to screen on the adjustment layer. Thats the only way I think I got it to work

    Halation is also a thing coming from lenses. Anamorphic lenses have more halation then let’s say CP2 or ultra primes.

    Good video for basic color grading, however, you can do all the color grading you want but the most important thing to "cinematic look" is in set lighting.

    You know i like the way you promote your product! You don’t just say hey guys looks how great it is! Instead you bring up the necessity topic and how your solution addresses it. Then by showing the step by step process you kinda persuade the viewer to trust you and buy the shortcut key! Bingo! I like it and I’m thinking to purchase it.     Thx for the video, but a little help is needed. on FCP step 7, I couldn't get the "screen" blend mode to work, everything is still "red" even in screen blend mode.

    after changing blend mode to screen ,the video doesnt change or do anything. just stay black and dark from the extract/tint effects for the helation effect

      You need to apply it on another layer
