That was amazing! Love the songwriting on this one, full of energy and heavily influenced by Power Metal and Neoclassical shred. Can't wait for the new album.
These men are veteran musicians, and are not fu**ing around, i just don't think anything comes close to Obscura in terms of perfection, even the video production is top notch.

Wow, that was incredible! I feel like you achieved a very good balance between the technicality and the songwriting here. This song is ridiculously complex, but I could see it getting stuck in my head after a few listens. Awesome riffs, the bass was insane, that solo section was beautiful, and the drums were crushing. The masters of tech death are back! 🤘🤘

It has that raw "omnivium" vibe to it that i just love ! Diluvium was awesome in its own jazzy/proggy kind of way all thanks to Trujillo and Lanser, but this is just pure brutal/technical death to its root !
-Steffen's vocals are on fire! -Plenty of small leads, on top of the fast riffing (great dynamics). -BUSY drums, and very clear & punchy production - just like Omnivium. -(2:05) for solos. -And (2:40) for the perfect harmonic climax!!!
I'd say production on this one is better than Omnivium's. The latter had a very hot mastering, whereas this one lands at a respectable DR9 which leaves more room for drum punch.
Idk man my headphones are bad or wot. Every other song from obscura sounds good and clean except this mix. The cymbals and vocals overpower most guitar riffs, drumparts and the bass.

I especially like how I can appreciate the work on cymbals which would normally be lost in the brickwall. What's your audio setup? It's a shame you're not hearing it like I hear it; it's pretty good!
the new line up is killer. The rhythm section is totally nailing it and Diepold giving us what he has been showing in his playthrough, some flawlessly executed tech death. What a drummer!
I've been following David Diepold for a long time and I'm so glad to see that his hard work paid off. I think he's the perfect fit for Obscura because of his immense technical ability behind the kit.
This track feels like an Agressive Septuagint. I'm in love with that! The tone of the guitar is sick. Nice work, we'll be waiting for that new album! Congrats from Chile.

I thought the guitars should've been higher in the mix, other than that, this is the best tech-death I've heard all year. This song slays! I'm so glad Christian Muenzer is back in the band!!
@@RS_91 Yes. Either that or lower one of the other instruments like the bass guitar, i like the high presence of the fretless bass guitar, but it sounds like that drowns out the guitars and the lead guitar. Maybe the drums are a bit loud too.

Overall I think I preferred the more organic drum sound and nuanced patterns on Deluvium but the harmonic climax towards the end goes nuts. Also, do I hear a little bit of Tomas Lindberg in the vocals? Very nice.
Damn! David Diepold style of drumming is just straight-up heavy with no bullshit. That insane bpms on the double bass really reminds me of George Kollias. Can't wait to hear the rest of the album. I don't know why but his playing seems to have change Obscura sounds like a lot.
Definitely seems like Christian is bringing in some power metal influence from his Eternity's End stuff And as someone who listens to almost nothing but power metal and tech death, I'm loving this!
