this song reminds us that our time here is short and harsh, to be in this world is hard, everyone has had battles and scars echoing a hard life (perfect life doesn’t exist it’s a illusion) and we have to make the best of it: we have to let yourselves truly love and be loved! We humans are not perfect and we will always disappoint someone someday, but we have to manage how to support each other with care, love, patient, grace, affection, mercy, empathy, strength, compassion, sympathy, hope and understanding how it is to be in the other person’s condition 🙏🏻🙏🏻💜💜 sending love to you all 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Well said and i totally agree. I have been telling people that the most important thing in life is to enjoy life to the fullest. Take care of your self, friends and family. Do the things that you want to do in life. Instead of just talking about it for years and get nothing done. Life is hard, but still people keep moving forward.

This song is dedicated to the band Sentenced. The opening was taken from the song “everything is nothing to me” It’s crazy how influential and yet unrecognized sentenced was. Glad to see other brands keeping the northern most killers alive.
Kordell, thank you so much. I never knew that. I like Sentenced so much, and i really love Insomnium, but i never understand that connection. Now for me the circle is closed. Hail to the real music from the north.
Sentenced was a great, influential band and M.T was a great guitarist and a nice person, knew all of them back in the 90´s when i was still an active musician in bands.

But something kept drawing me back, becoming my go to song to cheers me up in time.. I didnt know why. Today after listening to it for the 100th odd time i actually read the lyrics(I can make out some but i never focus on it too hard as the music is just too captivating).. and after reading it realized it portrays the last two years of my life as 2 years ago i lost the love of my life. These guys reached a new plane of metal right before we were all forced to isolate for COVID. This album played through my mind constantly during this past year!
Insomnium always takes me on a journey to a magical land that I know exists, but can't find unless I hear their perfect melodies. Each moment tells a story within a story...
4:50 onwards makes the emotions (tears) flow for me every time I listen to it.. This is my favorite Insomnium track because of that, but I can't listen to it that often, because I don't like to cry when I listen to music.
Will you live? Will I die? Who will go first? And the way we remain asunder as if we know we will be alive tomorrow... This is what hurts the most... THANK YOU FOR THIS MASTERPIECE INSOMNIUM
The pandemic has made me realize even more how much music means to me. It's gotten me through a lot of long days when I needed it most (especially metal like this).
My friend introduced me to this band and I came across this song. One of the best songs I've heard in a long time. I've listened to it about 40 times over the last 3 days.
04:34 goosebumps I loved them the first time I heard them back in 2009 when I was a young kid, high school times, now I'm married have kids and yet their music hit me up like first time.
This is the anniversary of my Brother V’s death. I was in bed crying when the notification for this came. Already played this video twice. No longer feeling so alone. It’s so beautiful. Music heals!
Thank you so much for showing love. I’ve had a really rough day (an amazing associate that’s been my emotional rock - got transferred.. and the seasonal change always reminds me of the loss of my big brother. It feels wrong to grow older than my eldest sibling, he was my protector (similar to my associate; a source of strength and security) The music this morning was greatly needed. It made me feel something other than the immense loss I’ve suffered; both past and present. Thank you for your warmth. even from behind the screen it reaches. ❤️
@@berlinmetal The only similarity that I could find between these two songs is their intros. Insomnium could've though of the melody themselves or they might have taken inspiration from Sentenced. Nonetheless, it's only a few seconds after which the songs go in entirely different directions. I'd hardly call that stealing, although you're allowed to consider it scummy. I think it's rather clear that this isn't a ripoff of "Aika kultaa muistot"...
The song started playing and I started crying ideky. I just remembered something personal. My friend laughed and said 'I understand, their music is too good' and I smiled.
So many bands in this genre are unable to break free from their own shadow, but insomnium keeps improving on themselves. Thank you for continuing to release music.
I like metal from many countries and genres, but there is something specially melancholic about Finnish bands like Insomnium or Swallow the Sun that makes Melodic Metal from Finland my favorite.
Just spent few days at the filming location. It's been throughout the history an inspirational place from Finnish artists. It really captures the national theme and offers you that solitude tone.
This band is extremely powerful !!! Here in Greece we have sakis tolis riffs and outside Greece only Insomnium !! Their riffs are absolutely full of passion and positivity 😊!!!
The build up from 4:00 to the climax followed by the solo is literally the most fucking perfect melodic death metal I’ve had the pleasure of hearing, it just is utterly...epic and emotional
You guys are so special and the genre you play is just another level dear Insomnium❤️. I am a fan of you since i lost my brother and this song was the relief I thought but it makes me more emotional even nowadays i cant stop thinking about him while listening this. Thanks for the memories

Great and epic, sad and dark, it’s simply stunning. This poor sad man had a tragic incident, dear one’s loss, couldn’t keep up with it, or had a sort of an amnesia out of denial..then he surrendered to sorrow and loss, and follow the lost one to a watery grave of his making. daaaaaaaaamn, what was needed, was some rain...or thunderstorm to the scene. Loved it like hell... thanks guys, can’t wait for the rest ...
New fan from New Zealand, massive sentenced vibes on this one - and that’s a compliment. Jani brought me to this band with valediction and while I can definitely hear Aika Multaa Muistot (Everything Is Nothing) influences, it’s new, fresh and powerful. Love this. Thanks for bringing back fond memories of a great band, look forward to the album! It’s gonna be killer!
Only the very hard of thinking believe metal is just noise - sure there are a lot of very hard of thinking people out there. Swathes of metal bands produce music of great emotional and/or musical depth and complexity, far too many to list here, but in terms of diversity, a few that spring to mind are Dream Theatre, Queensryche, In Flames and Triptykon. And unlike the nauseating pop genre that is rammed down our throats every day, metal embraces bands from all over the world, not just the English-speaking domain that dominates the airwaves.
Beautiful! My first Insomnium song and the rest is history ❤❤❤ Thank you TH-cam algorithm for showing me this amazing band! Finish melodeath is bliss! Can't wait to see them live in a few week in Seattle!

These guys reached a new plane of metal right before we were all forced to isolate for COVID. This album played through my mind constantly during this past year!
This is what I want to hear from Insomnium, great.🤘🏻
Nothing makes me happier than the sadness in your music. Thank you.
Very well described... I have no idea why i love the sadness in music, especially metal.
@@trumpjongun8831 It's catharsis!
Niin kaunis on hiljaisuus, sydän surusta suunniltaan.
Melody sounds like finnish classic. Proud to be Finn and love the song
Will you live?
Will I die?
Who will go first?
And the way we remain asunder as if we know we will be alive tomorrow...
This is what hurts the most...
THANK YOU FOR THIS MASTERPIECE INSOMNIUM
Music can make you smile, or cry. It can make your day. It will never let you down...
The pandemic has made me realize even more how much music means to me. It's gotten me through a lot of long days when I needed it most (especially metal like this).
My friend introduced me to this band and I came across this song. One of the best songs I've heard in a long time. I've listened to it about 40 times over the last 3 days.
Perkele täydellinen metalli kappale, maammelauluksi! 💪🇫🇮
04:34 goosebumps I loved them the first time I heard them back in 2009 when I was a young kid, high school times, now I'm married have kids and yet their music hit me up like first time.
Such emotion. I'll admit I shed a few tears during Markus' solo. Splendid filming in my favorite place in the world.
Moved to Finland about ten years ago and listened to Insomnium for the first time, been a happy man since then!
Lucky you! 😀
If only I had the courage to learn Finnish and leave behind my birthplace and move there...
@@SrMagmagedon You can do it :3
@@oo390 Thanks for your words!
Happy? What is that?
I have probably listened to this song a 100 times on youtube only, and shared the video like 50th times! I just love it!
Literally one of the most BEAUTIFUL metal songs I've ever heard. Thank you
You know a song is good, when it sends shivers through your whole body.
Yet another captivating masterpiece by the Finnish Titans of Melodeath. Beautiful is not a powerful enough word to describe it.
"take me home to the one I belong."
Aika multaa muistot
Love the new stuff Insomnium, I can never get enough of the primal growls mixed with clean vocals over heavy melody.
The Masters of Finnish melancholy! 🇫🇮🎸✨
This is the kind of music that really calms me down. Especially now that days become darker, colder and shorter. 🖤
Yes i can see "Sentenced" in this band. long live mika🔥🔥🔥
yes. especially this song.
intro is kinda similar to sentenced´s aika multaa muistot song. which is only a good thing.
The clip was made by Vesa Ranta.
Kings of Melodeath... Brazil loves you, Insomnium!
you'd better try to save Amazon forest
Gorlung hahahahahaahahhahahaahahhaahhahaahhaahhahhahaha um Brazilian but that was funny
This is the anniversary of my Brother V’s death. I was in bed crying when the notification for this came. Already played this video twice. No longer feeling so alone. It’s so beautiful. Music heals!
Sad to hear that,my condolences..
Sincere condolences dude
Sincere condolences.
My deepest condolences.
With 2019 being the year of Metal, Heart Like A Grave is undoubtedly one of this year's greatest masterpieces.
Unfortunately this "masterpiece" ist stolen from aika multaa muistot by Sentenced...
I like the boys because they not only make good music, but are also likeable and humble.
I love your doggie
I cannot count, how often i watched this amazing video. I've buried my father two weeks ago. Great music, great video from Vesa Ranta from Sentenced.
My grandma recently died, and I always push away my feelings.
Everytime I hear this song I break down because it makes me confront my emotions.
Usually I'll buy a song or two off an album but this is the first time in years I've purchased the entire thing!!🥰🥰🥰
this song should've been dedicated to people who are in their 40s
This is seriously the most beautiful song I've heard in a long time. The guitar work goes straight to the soul
Italian in the body, finnish in the heart. I love you guys ❤
Lo stesso per me!
Idem :-)
This is a masterpiece, I got goosebumps like crazy.
Can't remember how many times in this 3 years I've cried listening to this. Thank you Insomnium ❤
This song is the definition of perfection
yes
Intro is insane.. So calm like wind blowing in tune right around u...
The build up from 4:00 to the climax followed by the solo is literally the most fucking perfect melodic death metal I’ve had the pleasure of hearing, it just is utterly...epic and emotional
I could not agree more
Been listening to Insomnium for years, and I honestly think this may be their best song.
You guys are so special and the genre you play is just another level dear Insomnium❤️. I am a fan of you since i lost my brother and this song was the relief I thought but it makes me more emotional even nowadays i cant stop thinking about him while listening this. Thanks for the memories
When you play amidst the mountain with no amplifiers, but your music is so freakin´ epic it still manages to sound across the entire forest...
All the forest animals gather to listen.
It's on that level.
Majestic Metal
Produced by: Vesa Ranta, Aapo Lahtela/Kaira Films ... Vesa Ranta is one of the founding members of Sentenced.
@@domini1337 means absolutely nothing here
This is great stuff! Proving that Metal can be emotional and well written not just noise like some small minded people think it is!!
Beautiful song..been listening to you guys for years now. Regards from Bhutan.
Wie immer allererste Sahne, nichts anderes zu erwarten von dieser absolut genialen Band!!!
