What lake do you think os best for bass in ohio? Im from ohio just further south close to cincy and want to take a fishing trip dont want to waste time in a lake that is weak. Tomorrow im headed to celina to fish
These are my favorite videos that you make. I learn more from you explaining why your doing things whether or not they work. It also helps that your real, IE not just showing catches of big fish. Showing the dinks, misses and everything else that happens to all of us is encouraging in a weird way!
I’m so glad you left that in there! Lol. I did the same thing and lost my favorite right out of the boat in about 8 foot of water. Spent about 6 1/2 hours over the next three days, grinding with a deep crank and finally caught it on the third day, and got it back.
Oh man. I never thought of the caffeine shad on the minimax. I love both of those baits. Don't know why I never thought of putting those together. Makes total sense. Thanks man. Looked like about a 30lb flathead to me.
Caught my bass first at age 37. Grew up gravel pit fishing on bobbers now I’m in colorado where bass are rare. Well more rare. Watched a video on Texas rigging got up before the sun and first cast caught my on thanks to you, bill dance, and many other professionals. Thanks.
What a great series. I thought you weren’t getting that rod back lol. Also that was a nice flathead. It’s fun fighting a big cat on bass gear. But they can sure tear it up too.🎣
I watch all your ;youtube I don;t comment much but I love the way you teach even when you just make comments about what you are doing keep this up PLEASE thanks ;for all ;you do
I love mini max I had problems with landing them until I slightly bent the hook up some so the tip of the hook slightly up almost an it slides on the n lands them great now I had lost 5 bass that could possibly landed me first n my tournament before an the next time I went out on haven lake n Milford de (my favorite) around here anyway I landed all 9 keepers that day after I did the mod on the mini max hook n now i love it
These videos are awesome! Thank you for sharing your experiences and techniques to fish lakes!! I would like to see your breakdown on Ceasar’s Creek Lake!
That flathead demonstrates why i'm a professed "multi species" angler. Tournaments aren't my thing. I LOVE bass fishing, but I am ready at a moments notice to bounce over to hybrids/stripers, crappie, carp on a fly rod, whatever. The tug is the drug. I truly miss tennessee fishing as the TVA lakes were a goldmine. Some of my best trips were days when plan didnt work out and I ended up exploiting something totally different.
Beautiful flathead. Definitely around 30 pounds great job Tyler. Gave that rod a workout for sure. You need to come to SC for some Lake Break action. Great bass fishing in the Waccamaw River.
Great video! Love the content. Would you consider doing Salt Fork Lake for on of your lake breaks? We recently had a tournament there and just shy of 5 pounds won it. It's a couple hours east of you, would be a great lake to see on the series. Tight lines man! Keep up the great content
what was the date you filmed this? The last time I was there the water was as clear as drinking water and fishing was terrible! how is Indian Lake this year? I gave up on it after the last 2 yrs. You need to try Rocky Fork sometime 15-20 lb 5 fish tournaments are common
So the Zebra mussels are making their way South? Most of the lakes here in the N.E. corner of Ohio have Zebra mussels (brought in from Erie) and grass which makes for Gin clear water. Great video.
Do you have the 2024 edition ARK rods yet? I have 4 of them pre-ordered. Can't wait to see them. Would love to see some footage of them, and hear your opinion.
This was probably the funniest video I have seen of yours 😂. If you would've got that big rock Bass that jerked your rod out of your hands you probably would have had got your 15 lbs. Between that and that big flathead you looked shook up.lm sorry it was a great video it just had some fun parts to it.
You obviously know what you’re doing and I’m a big fan but curious why you didn’t change to a larger chatterbait like a 1/2 oz jackhammer since you were looking for a bigger bite?
I like this Lake Break series ... be cool if the words "lake break" were in the video title... Also, Indian Lake is in my area, too... though I've never fished it. Any chance you have Alum Creek on the schedule for a Lake Break video?
@@BassFishingHQ understandable ... its the lake i fish the most, and yet the one i struggle the most on. mostlly i try to fish as far away from the all the powerboats and jet skis so i feel somewhat limited.
Last month I caught a 55lb flathead on a Lil Bitsy jig w/crawfish trailer on the channel side of an offshore island. Took 30min to get him to the surface lmao
Can someone make videos like this, without FFS or electronics? Many of us don't have a power boat, much less electronics to find fish. It would be so much better and easier to learn from, if it is relatable.
No...that means I am not calling all the locals on the lake I am fishing to try and have them put me on fish..I just want it to be real and raw of what figuring out the bass looks like. Thats why sometimes I catch them and sometimes I don't
Ty did I catch you throwing you scrap tag end into the lake? Without thinking? Like you do it all the time? Oooof... TH-cam WARDEN COMIN'' DOWN ON YOU. Keep our fisheries beautiful. It's all we got.
If he was really tough he’d do that with surstromming. Sardines and anchovies are nothing. I eat those all the time. At least 3 cans a week. Delicious. Surstromming on the other hand would be tough.
Step 1: change that negative attitude. They can feel it through your line and are laughing at you. Make yourself expect to catch fish when you go out, then worry about your lure choice.
Scale only goes to 15lbs for those of you wondering why I didn’t weigh it
What lake do you think os best for bass in ohio?

lol I was about to ask. time to buy a new scale!
Great job, that fish alone but t you over your target weight for the day 🤣
I’m more concerned with why you didn’t make her dinner lol
@@johnz5055 Portage Lakes near Akron, or Mosquito Lake near Youngstown are both great bass lakes, especially for Ohio.
The Lake Break series is great. I appreciate the time to make the content.

I try to show it all. I appreciate it. Going to double down on these videos soon
Thanks for keeping it real! Love the authenticity!!
Great video! Love seeing you fish a chatterbait as it is one of my favorite baits to throw!
I’m so glad you left that in there! Lol. I did the same thing and lost my favorite right out of the boat in about 8 foot of water. Spent about 6 1/2 hours over the next three days, grinding with a deep crank and finally caught it on the third day, and got it back.
Awesome video, don't stop making the videos of you fishing. The alogithm will figure it out eventually. I'll be double commenting on these 💯
Thanks for the kind words man. These are my favorite to make
I always look forward to this series... thanks!

Im glad you kept the footage of the catfish in this video! That was a nice catch
What a great series. I thought you weren’t getting that rod back lol. Also that was a nice flathead. It’s fun fighting a big cat on bass gear. But they can sure tear it up too.🎣
Thanks @fishingwithgramps I've caught a lot more bass because of your tutorial for the chatter bait knot.

This was your best episode. At least from what I’ve seen. Goood jobs man. Thanks 🙏🏻

I love your lake break series and would love to see you fish an inland smallmouth fishery

Great Video! Thanks for the chatter bait trailer tip.
Another great video great info.thanks for sharing 👍

I really like your lake break series and would love to see you come to Cave Run lake in Kentucky sometime and hear your thoughts on it.
That is actually a lake I may try at some point. It’s not too far away

Such a helpful video, thanks!
C'mon up and do one of these in one of our Minnesota natural grass lakes! It'd be fascinating to see you dissect a milfoil/coontail lake.
Why pass up those boat docks? There's a big limit on those for sure.
So True. Great Video,thanks 👍
Love it!! You win some and lose some.. Great Lake break down
Love it! Sitting in boat and got the notification .Dont get much better
Forgot to add that its where Im planning to go next week. Timing was perfect. Thanks Tyler!
Bam! Enjoy!
Dude, when you landed that Cat, freaking awesome!
That mini max in brets bluegill with a rage menace is a staple in a few of my lakes and ponds here.
what was the date you filmed this? The last time I was there the water was as clear as drinking water and fishing was terrible! how is Indian Lake this year? I gave up on it after the last 2 yrs. You need to try Rocky Fork sometime 15-20 lb 5 fish tournaments are common

22 to 25 for sure. Flatheads are my fave catfish to catch
Another good outing! That cat was at least 30-35 pounds.
indian is a cool place i havent caught any real big ones but its definitely fun and can suprised you at times.
Love the videos and knowing we fish the same lakes here in Ohio makes it even better. I think that flatty went 25+
Do you have the 2024 edition ARK rods yet? I have 4 of them pre-ordered. Can't wait to see them. Would love to see some footage of them, and hear your opinion.
I think you have a winner with this topic
What do you do with your cut soft plastics
You can melt them and make them into new ones
This was probably the funniest video I have seen of yours 😂. If you would've got that big rock Bass that jerked your rod out of your hands you probably would have had got your 15 lbs. What boat do you use?
The real questin here is what is your exact setup to be able to pull a flathead?
My favorite series
Catfish are a cool ass fish! Alot of catfish species are also prehistoric
You obviously know what you’re doing and I’m a big fan but curious why you didn’t change to a larger chatterbait like a 1/2 oz jackhammer since you were looking for a bigger bite?
I did do that for a little while…but had zero bites on it so I switched back.
Gotcha. Well keep up the awesome videos man. You put great stuff out
Nice recovery! 😁
That catfish looked a lot like the Mucinex mascot to me 😂
Love your videos man. Im also Ohio Grown. Would love to see you out at Ceasars Creek!
I like this Lake Break series ... be cool if the words "lake break" were in the video title... Also, Indian Lake is in my area, too... though I've never fished it. Any chance you have Alum Creek on the schedule for a Lake Break video?
Alum is the one lake I don't really film on often. I fish way to many tournaments out there to give up a lot of juice :)
@@BassFishingHQ understandable ... its the lake i fish the most, and yet the one i struggle the most on. mostlly i try to fish as far away from the all the powerboats and jet skis so i feel somewhat limited.
I feel like those docks and marinas might have been some sleeper spots.
Last month I caught a 55lb flathead on a Lil Bitsy jig w/crawfish trailer on the channel side of an offshore island. Took 30min to get him to the surface lmao
Woohoo- Lake Break!!!!
man that flathead was a nice one!
It about pulled me in the lake
A whisker biscuit bass if you ask me 😂😂😂. What's the difference between a Tennessee shad color and a Tennessee minnow color?
Why not try a jig or worm on those rocks? Maybe bigger ones don’t want a moving bait.
Can someone make videos like this, without FFS or electronics? Many of us don't have a power boat, much less electronics to find fish. It would be so much better and easier to learn from, if it is relatable.
I also fish for cats all the time and I would say it was at least 30 maybe more.
The max is catching all the energetic dinks them dinks will bite almost anything lol 😅
But now somebody has told me!
Indian one of the better lakes in our area. You should do this challenge at Seneca, Tappan, or Salt Fork 👍
why didnt you weigh the catfish?
Random question!..🤔💭 When you say, "With no help, and no information", are you referring to NOT using any electronics either?..🤷🏾♂️
No...that means I am not calling all the locals on the lake I am fishing to try and have them put me on fish..I just want it to be real and raw of what figuring out the bass looks like. Thats why sometimes I catch them and sometimes I don't
The trailer its like a Fattyz or similary?
I'd say that's atleast a 3 💪
Go to a pond, that's full of Bass, you can't help but catch them 😂
Kick ass on the indian lake vid!! 😎 nice flat 👌 #Jelly
Edit: Theres 40s in that lake brother
Nice pylodictis!
What they don’t tell you is they don’t know how to find them without high dollar electronics 😂
Freaking out over the flathead and the whole time having a scale in the boat.....I'm not going to guess when you could have weighed it.
Scale only goes to 15lbs
Why did you not weigh the flatty on your scale?🤔
The only thing I'm sure about is that the bass are in the water.... I think.
Ty did I catch you throwing you scrap tag end into the lake? Without thinking? Like you do it all the time? Oooof... TH-cam WARDEN COMIN'' DOWN ON YOU. Keep our fisheries beautiful. It's all we got.
No more anchovies if he don’t make the weight? 😂😂😂 I understand why he stopped putting those kind of stipulations on if he gets the weight or not lol.
If he was really tough he’d do that with surstromming. Sardines and anchovies are nothing. I eat those all the time. At least 3 cans a week. Delicious. Surstromming on the other hand would be tough.
Nice flat
I can't catch fly on poop. I've tried everything literally. Sad sad man
Bro same, i been to the lakes 6 times in 2 months. Tried about 12 different baits. Never caught a fish in my life, it hurts my soulll
Step 1: change that negative attitude. They can feel it through your line and are laughing at you. Make yourself expect to catch fish when you go out, then worry about your lure choice.
I STINK at finding the fish 🤦🏻♂️🎣
Same I can find little ones all the time can’t ever get on bigs. It amazes me when folks catch 20 plus pounds and I barely catch 10 lbs
Depending on what body of water you go to 10lbs can be good
Thinking 24 lbs
I say 25 - 30 lbs.
Well now I know where not to go bass fishing.
Ok. This is nice, but how about going old school testing all your knowledge and wisdom without the fish finders. Reel us in not real us in.
Boy is a bit windy. You talk too much!
😂😂 dude this is mostly an educational channel hard to teach things without talking
