  • The barn find Terminator Cobra Mustang finally get an update! Not sure this is the update you wanted... We head over to mike Hensons shop to check on the engine. Let's just say... the new setup is going to be very fresh lol!
    I have wanted a 2003/4 Cobra since High School. It's the one Mustang that always interested me. Luckily one just popped up on Facebook marketplace.. you know I had to get it! I can't wait to bring this supercharged snake back to life!

    He probably meant to say DB* or DC* heads.. DA head casting # is still an 03 model with 4 thread spark plug threads! Find you a 04 or 05 Lincoln Aviator. Same heads 👍

    Mike is the man when it comes to mod motors (and all kinds of other motors, too). No doubt whatever he puts together is gonna be great

    Nice 4.6ltr boat anchor! Bit of bad luck there but I'm sure you'll get that Ford work of art back bigger and better.

    It’s a termi, gotta keep the 4.6, ideally with a loud blower. The. You can still say “stock with a pulley”, even when making 800hp

    • @JrodsGarage
      @JrodsGarage  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree. Needs a loud blower for sure

  • @jeschreindl

    Keep the 4.6!

    Biggest Problem I and many others are having is finding parts.
    4.6 DOHC is damn near obsolete.

      Don’t own a RB, 2JZ or 13B lol. I think the ford stuff is everywhere compared to those engines

    The 4.6 DOHC supercharged makes it a terminator.. all the same if you move up to a coyote and it still has a supercharger scream, will be awesome either way. Besides maybe cobra purists.

    Honestly,I rebuilt a motor That was 10 times worse than your cobra 🐍 motor and it ran perfect for the five 5 years I owned it and I sold it to my friend who had it for 3 years and someone rear-ended him and totaled ,soak that thing in muriatic acid for 24 hours,see how the cylinder walls look from the rust ..try 100 grit balll hone..if that don’t work bore it 10 under… I would get that motor running no problem because back in the day it would be hard to get an expensive but now like the man said the blocks are a dime a dozen so might as well get a good block..the heads look fine. I think a simple cleanup / lite mill ,valve job, new valve stem seals and you’re good to
    haul ass 🐎💨💨💨.. just like I used to haul ass when I was a jockey 🏇 back in the.. he was a real haul asser
    And that was his name believe it or not 🐴

    Man, I tried to tell you this wasn't a good deal even for 12k. I wasn't trying to be a keyboard warrior. For all the time and money you'll have into it you could of had a really nice one ready to go. About 2 months ago there was one for sale near me even cheaper but it was running and driving. As much as I like terminators coyote is the way to go. If I had the time and money that's what would be in mine. I'll probably have one in it sometime.

      I try to never buy turn key cars. It’s no fun buying a cars that’s ready. It’s always someone else’s car. When you save them, it’s always your car bc you put the time in

      You’re saying this is not a good deal at 12k? ,what if the motor was good and all it needed was a thermostat or something minor you know crap about cars … you can’t find these cars for the price not even with a known blown motor 12k so what you think he should’ve paid for it 5k … me personally I would be able to get that motor running for under $1000 but some people don’t have that capability or know how but if I were to buy this car at 12 K and fix it for 1K these cars are selling for 25K+ don’t know what world you live in but that would be a big profit for Me if I bought it …. it is a lot of work to redo that whole engine even if I would’ve came across this deal for 12 K I think I would’ve passed but if it was 20 years ago. I would’ve bought it in a heartbeat .. So look up. What these cars are selling for and before you comment Use your head for once 😅

      @motofarmmx2430 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@jackthejockey yes I'm saying this isn't that great of deal at 12k. Time is money and this car needed a lot of time and money between the exterior and power train. What if's don't count lol. Read my above comment one that ran and drove was cheaper about 2 months ago. There superman you mention it, its a lot of work. Nice running ones can be had for what money and time you invested in these. Ive owned one for over 20 years feb of 04. I know what they're worth, ive followed the market pretty heavily. Lol
