I do want to mention that many of the BaS PKMs and their variants can be upgraded to be absolutely devastating, negating any downsides that you mentioned in this video. I used an upgraded PKM Pecheneg Tactical in my EFP playthrough, upgraded to ~93% accuracy and had little to no vertical or horizontal recoil left in the rifle, making it by far the most overpowered weapon in the game. Combine this with the cheap price of the ammo, easily craftable ammo (at least in EFP where you can buy ammo parts easily and cheaply), and there is little reason to use 99% of other weapons once you have a sniper scope and it fully upgraded. Also, a good way to get tons of ammo for this weapon is doing the Defend the Barrier missions from Lukash and having the LMG in your gun slot when you go to him for your reward, basically getting you ~3-4 hundred rounds. This mission can also be abused to get all sorts of extremely rare calibers such as Gauss rifle ammo.
The vast majority of battle rifles chambered for 7.62 NATO use 20-round mags. Also, it was found that full-auto modes were basically useless on those types of rifles since only the first shot hits its mark anyway. Machine guns are a different story since they're intended to be fired while stabilized using a bipod (typically while lying prone and operated in crews of two). 3:49 The Galil's iron sights are the best in standard-issue Anomaly-go-nuts. Fun fact about the game depiction of the Galil: It's labeled as a "Galil AR," but it's actually a hybrid of a Galil ARM and a Galatz (Galil Sniper). Its caliber would indicate that it's a Galatz, but it seems to have been upgraded with the select-fire capability of the Galil ARM, basically making it a super-weapon. If it accepted a grenade launcher, it would be the ultimate. 3:57 Ackchyually, "Mk.14" is enunciated "Mark 14." 4:36 They couldn't put a real launcher sight on the EGLM?! 6:15 Should have a 250-round belt given the dimensions of that belt box. 7:46 Standard-issue Anomaly had two: VSSK and ASh-12.7.

After watching all your tier lists I feel like you might like most of these guns a lot more if you didn't main full auto. That's more of a close range thing, but a lot of the time I see you trying to hit medium range moving targets on full auto and only 2 shots out of your bursts are hitting, at most. After playing Anomaly and Gamma for more hours than I can imagine, I find that most guns aren't really that bad. I think you're just missing a lot. Btw, rate of fire is a trap: It's possible to shoot so fast that you are dumping way too many shots into an already dead enemy. Not so much for big beefy high end enemies like chimeras or giants, but for humans and most mutants it's not really necessary to have FAMAS levels of RoF. This is especially bad on submachine guns where only half a second off target can cost you 3 or more bullets, or basically 25% to 75% of most enemies health.
I one shot every stalker in the game with 5.56 AP ammo, except Sin member. I just brought SVD against them. After completing Invinctus I'm sure that only anomalies and mutants can prevent you from getting that achievement.
The Ash12 in GAMMA seems to have some bugs. When paired with its upgrade kit, the laser sight cannot be turned off, it stays always on, which makes the use of its backup red dot sight quite confusing, cuz the laser and the dot doesnt align. Also, the scope doesnt change the magnification, it stays always on its max level, while the same scope, in other guns, changes.
If the ash 12 had more upgrade packages or scopes I would be all about it. I had a maxed out one on my last playthrough and even though it would melt monolith I still kept wanting to use 7.62 guns with more gun porn flavor.

Gamma guns for efp, there is a post on the efp discord containing them. It is only the vector and the raptr. Efp guns for gamma. You need to extract the EFPWP mod from an EFP4.0 install.
I am playing a custom mod which has all exclusive weapons from both gamma and efp. And the good thing is its not trying hard to be tarkov like efp or survivalist themed like gamma. Its made by a russian dude. Mod name is bosspack.
I have always loved dmrs in any game, idk why. And I absolutely love the mk14 ebr. It just feel amazing to use for some reason. I really love GAMMA`s SR-25 - with upgrades it has VERY low recoil, accuracy and damage is really hight as well, because it is sniper rifle, and 7,62X51 AP penetrate armor easy, so the weapon is great
i am playing gamma and yould not find the ash 12 . tried to use to spawn it in butt could only find ash 12.5 and itt does not have the same scopes not could zoom in
Found something you didn't include here. SA-58 AUS. The weapon table I've been using claims it does more damage per shot than the FAL. I can't confirm as I don't have a FAL. But it seems the SA-58 AUS does 71 damage per shot which is the same as my Remington sniper rifle... Could be potentially nice but I don't know what the recoil is like/the situation regarding scopes.

Great stuff as always! I was wondering if you had any thoughts on the subsonic nature of the Ash12? I've personally tried to steer clear of it because the game really mentions the drop-off due to the lower muzzle velocity, and I'm afraid it'll mess up my aim; how bad is it really?

I started a new playthrough (which I enjoy a lot more than the first one), and what happens in the morning of the SECOND day? Three Sin bastards walk through Cordon! CORDON, the second day! I couldn't kill them obviously, so I figured out that I lure them to the Farm, and let them slaughter my friends, while I was waiting inside behind closed doors (sorry, I was a coward worm...). After most of my men died, and the Sin guys got weakened, I went out and killed them all easily with a PPSH. And what did one of them got? An ASh-12.7!!! With supressor of course. Hell this gun looks and feels awesome... only I wonder what the hell and when will I do with it... it will take a time until I get parts and tools for it, not to mention the ammo...
I just repaired my 'plain' Scar-H (which I got not so long ago from a Radar raid I think). I'm glad to see it's in the S Tier. I couldn't try it in hard battle yet, but I cannot wait... I have a thought that it will be the single very best weapon for me in the game, especially with a decent scope and a canted sight together. Now what I only need is a Nosorog, or your favourite (may I say?), the Merc ACE Suit (thanks for the tip!). Then I will be an unstoppable beast 😁 Thanks again!
Its insane, made Sarcophagus run a cake walk. Its even better that one of the upgraded versions, because you can use a nade launcher with the regular one.
Oh the Scar-H is goat, despite the 20 round mag, its extremely powerful even in fmj round and can one shot most light, medium stalker, the ap is even better

EFP Scar can have 50 round drum mags. Anyways I play EFP and Scar H is out of competition there IMO because: 7.62x51, 50 rounders, full auto (quite flat when fully upgraded), suppressor, laser, duo scope kits, aaaand a UBGL. Literally no other gun has all that in that higher caliber tier.

Just want to throw out there that the Galil ace-52 in 7.62X54R is completely overpowered. Combined with a tactical kit that gives you adjustable long range scope and canted red dot you can murder anyone at any range. As far as i know its the only battle rifle in the game thats automatic and shoots that ammo
Love your videos! The rankings are pretty much on point. Just one question, what mod adds the SCAR-H laser pointers? The only SCARs in my (relatively) default GAMMA with lasers are Expert and Special Operator ... Also, not only the Tactical Black but also the "normal" Tactical cannot use the grenade launcher (and for me both don't have laser sight).

The only reason I really don't like the Ash-12 is that when you give it to companion, it forcefully uses it as a BOLT ACTION, no joke you can even hear the bolt mechanism as if it was a mosin, same firerate too . I think this is because in the weapon details it has an actual bolt action piece but yeah, that caliber is awesome. Haven't tested in anomaly 1.5.2 though
In all GAMMA videos on TH-cam, I find the stalkers AI to be dumb and inept. They stand and move around in the open like they're ports from the OG Wolfenstein 3D and can't seem to hit the side of a barn. In my playthroughs, the AI is ridiculously OP, so much so that I've maxed my own damage mod to 3x to even the field. Even bandits from Cordon seem to land just about every other shot with sawn-offs, from halfway across the map, through foliage, while I'm behind cover leaning out. Mad skillz. And never mind the military or mercenaries.. Gods of War. 😒 Are they nerfing them for demo or is it just me punishing myself needlessly here? 🤷🏼♀️
I think it funny he puts so much value on rate of fire. Then misses most of the shots he takes. I am sorry but I honestly think lower rate of fire is better than faster. Easier to use the recoil of the gun to get a head shot in tap fire. Some guns I gotten down so perfect off body body head. That will kill even exoskeletons.
Tbh, normal stalker playthough only have 3 ammo type as best, most gun have quite a lot of scope but you use like only a few, a grenade launcher and a silencer, so the attachment still feel pretty simple *unless you count Desolation modpack as a thing then yes, that mod literally Tarkov gun customize style*

Technically uses a different kind of ammo in-game for some reason even if it is the same caliber. Or at least it used to, maybe I'm thinking of vanilla and it's different for GAMMA.

I done radar with a bolt action sniper. Does not matter of fire rate if you know how to kill effectively.

No matter what Tier the weapons go for me every run i do is p90 and l96 AWM 338 caliber
Not sure if some of these guns are very rare or don't drop at all like Galil, MK14, G28 etc.
Some guns are disabled in GAMMA so that might be why.

As mercenary where can I find 12.7x55 ammo?
Not too sure which traders sells it but I typically just craft it.

X51 ap makes me cringe every time i miss because of the cost of the ammo
The only reason I really don't like the Ash-12 is that when you give it to companion, it forcefully uses it as a BOLT ACTION, no joke you can even hear the bolt mechanism as if it was a mosin, same firerate too . I think this is because in the weapon details it has an actual bolt action piece but yeah, that caliber is awesome. Haven't tested in anomaly 1.5.2 though
In all GAMMA videos on TH-cam, I find the stalkers AI to be dumb and inept. They stand and move around in the open like they're ports from the OG Wolfenstein 3D and can't seem to hit the side of a barn.
In my playthroughs, the AI is ridiculously OP, so much so that I've maxed my own damage mod to 3x to even the field.
Even bandits from Cordon seem to land just about every other shot with sawn-offs, from halfway across the map, through foliage, while I'm behind cover leaning out. Mad skillz. And never mind the military or mercenaries..

I think it funny he puts so much value on rate of fire. Then misses most of the shots he takes. I am sorry but I honestly think lower rate of fire is better than faster. Easier to use the recoil of the gun to get a head shot in tap fire. Some guns I gotten down so perfect off body body head. That will kill even exoskeletons.

i cant stand these over tactical guns with like 3 scopes 15 attachments and 6 ammo types, that edgy airsoft shit belongs in tarkov
Tbh, normal stalker playthough only have 3 ammo type as best, most gun have quite a lot of scope but you use like only a few, a grenade launcher and a silencer, so the attachment still feel pretty simple
*unless you count Desolation modpack as a thing then yes, that mod literally Tarkov gun customize style*
more actually footage of the gun firing and not just weapon inspects? still dont really know the difference with some guns as you block the footage with a tier list

Technically uses a different kind of ammo in-game for some reason even if it is the same caliber. Or at least it used to, maybe I'm thinking of vanilla and it's different for GAMMA.
