I'm thinking my ammo is going to be used a lot faster with that loader. Thanks.

Great idea, I wonder if a similar design could be used for 7.62x39 AK-47 magazines. I don't see it wouldn't as the magwells are relatively straight even though AK mags are curved. I would honestly be interested in buying one if you made it. (It's basically just slabs of wood so there shouldn't be any problems with shipping.)

I built this in about 2 1/2 hours. It was a trial run with just a 1/2" drill bit and a table saw.

DIY By Me good work and a nice alternative to spending 100 bucks here in canada for a caldwell 50 mag charger www.grouseriver.com/Caldwell-AR-15-Magazine-Charger

Any idea why most people make these in a CURVE shape? Yes the mags are slightly curved, but does yours work just as well straight?

    • @diybyme5387

The curve is a waste of time. I guess if you have a router and are looking to spend time on a project then great. I was looking to spend zero time on this. LOL

DIY By Me I.agree. I.have a router, but its much smarter, easier and faster to add rails rather than remove wood, and keep it straight, as wel as compact. And Its a practical device, not an artistic wall hanging. Some people get hung up.on.fine woods and stains. Thats fine, but not necessary.

Late but.....I think the curve is to accommodate the natural rounding of the ammo since the tips are more narrow than the base. Keeps them tighter.

Great job! Do you have dimensions for the parts?

      The video gives rough dimensions.
Most dimensions are explained in the video.
Sorry, I did not make detailed dimensions.
