GO SOOTCH!!! I've even gotten my old man who's 64 into watching your vids!! On top of awesome vids and gear, you have the commonly overlooked "genuine-factor" that many reviewers either miss or just don't have to start with. The bloopers at the end are funny as hell, and let's us know your human. No matter how much gear, cameras, views, etc. there are attached to a person, at the end of the day, we are all just human. Mannnnn...I know I'm gonna prolly catch hell in the comments for that last sentence being a little too philosophical...😕. I was just trying to say You, Hickok, and Nutn are a lot of our favorites because your not super "try-hards" or inanimate "tacticoooools". You come off as a genuine and pretty cool guy. That being said, there ain't nothing wrong with a genuine dude getting to rip off some rounds with some badass gear! Long live the 2nd-A, the Republic, AND the channel of the Sootch!!! Peace brother.
Where I see this being a huge benefit is if you're military and loading hundreds of mags on a range day, but I'm lazy and even if I were only loading 2-3 mags, I'd still pick up one of these.
I keep the maglula in my range bag- both the pistol loader as well as the AR loader you showed in this video. They are fantastic and a lot less expensive than this full size version. A lot easier to throw in a backpack! I’ll stick with the small one. It’s pretty fast!
As a native South Carolinian, Iraq Veteranx3, and current active duty Soldier/MP I'm extremely proud to see that Team SOOTCH leads the way when it comes to conveying accurate information and professional videos that are entertaining as well. Keep it up SOOTCH!
Where have I been (The VA, I think?) I have a couple of the Maglula small AR speed loaders but now I must have one of these. Since I reload I can afford to shoot copious amounts of 5.56 ammo. I usually take 10 each 30 round mags out with me so I sure can see the value in this product. Thanks man for the demo video. As always you put out a primo product.
For the 10rd mags, you could stage 30rds on the loader and load 3 mags before refilling the loader. And for the 40rd round mags you could load 30rds then 10rds.
These were pretty cool until I looked at the cost... Then I got a Podavach U-loader for $40 and I was happier because it takes 3 Calibers and a lot of magazines.
Maglula is known for its quality---Not sure about Padavach but in 2020 they're just about $70 so not that great a savings over the Maglula at this point in time.
7:51 I'm an engineer and it cracks me up you would use anything to right of the digit. yet you timed it to the 100th of a second! I think rounding to the nearest second would make the point... just poking fun at you. I watch your videos all the time and love your presentation, enthusiasm, and knowledge. Keep going!!!!
Very nice demonstration. People complain about the price of the product for $130/- !!! How much does it cost to shoot a box of Ammo? The price you pay is for the innovation and utility of the product in my humble opinion.
Also can't forget that on some AR mags, it's easy to lose count on how many rounds you've just put in your mag. Not all mags have a way for you to tell. With this, you know you have 29.
I love watching all your videos even the ones you made prior. I had automatically like this one before I got a chance to watch it fully just because of the music you’re playing at the beginning sounds like a little bit of AC/DC.
Hay good evening , nice review !!! use my buddy's a few weeks ago n had to get one wow its fast glad I got one !!! hands down way faster compare to loading by hand, thank you!!! keep the vids coming!!!
$133 is what i find them at. It takes a special kinda a person to buy one easy as it is to load an AR mag. It costs $120 to load just 10 mags which can be hand loaded in 10 minutes. You would have to be pretty well off just to buy the ammo and mags to pretend it was worth buying the Maglula. Thats my thoughts on it, which are free,,,
It's a faster Than loading them by hand, but still a lot slower than the magpump where you can just stick the magazine into the mag well of the loader, dump the ammo in and go and just start pumping.
cool but i don't shoot enough to justify any of these $120 loaders out there. i'd rather buy 8-10 extra mags to bring out and load with my little $30 lula to save my thumbs, i just load while i'm watching a hockey game or something and take 20 mags in a dry box to wherever i'm shooting
Spot on for those who shoot on their own, no reason at all for something this expensive/nice. I love mine because I teach shooting and it simply speeds up the class by getting them back on the line twice as fast. Makes reloading at the bench a nothing deal.
😆HaHa!!! Antonio, I just ordered the RRS with my name on it so it was $50+shipping, haven't received it yet but should have it b4 long. I'm sure I'll be happy with the RRS speedloader but I just love the smaller size of the Maglula. I guess the price tag makes up for the size😂😂👍
Well if you have relatives fighting overseas, knowing that sending them a dozen of this will make them sustain that firing rate at their enemies, could save their lives you never know, then usd 133 is a steal then imho
Sootch, I like the design of this loader. Less bulky than the board you reviewed way back. Easy to transport and will fit in most range bags. Seems to be very practical. How is it holding up if you don't mind me asking? Maglula, is typically a high quality product but I have to ask. Thanks for the vid as always.
Another great review Sootch00, but I don't shoot that much ammo through my AR-15. Maybe only 250 rounds a month. Also me and my cousin shoot each others rifle too. So I prefer the old way with my hands.
Well, it's truly expensive, but if you're tired of loading by hand, or just want to make it faster, it's a good investment. These things are also pretty robust, so they last for a good while.
@A E True, it's probably $5 in materials. But how many tens of thousands of dollars did they spend to have the mold made for it? There's more that goes into it than just the material costs. Part of the profit goes toward recuperating the R&D cost, as well as the cost of having the tooling manufactured to produce the item.
@@crazyfvck Good point. There are also many many other overhead expenses that are taken care of by the $127 profit that A E was claiming, like payroll, insurance, employee benefits, lawyers, accountants, security, and simple utility bills (electricity, water, gas) just to name a few. At the end of the day, I am 110% sure that there is a lot less profit than $127.

Thanks for speaking about the benefits of using the loader for arthritic persons... God Bless America!
The 29 rounds mark it's also meant for countries where 30 rounds magazines are illegal but the 29 ones are perfectly fine
Cool video as always, but why couldn't a 40 rounder be loaded by loading 30 then throwing 10 more in the loader?
@voodoowraith You could do that.
Great for arthritic hands with hand loading at about the 26/27 round they start getting tight. Huge relief from pain

Ever tested with the magpul 6.8 spc mag and ammo?
if you created a gun that you put multiple magazines into would that bypass California's size restrictions?
@Hexaquan No. However, they do make special "star" mags that are California compliant. It's a cluster of five 10rd mags all joined together at the base. They're not cheap, but they definitely do the job.
Will these affect my magazine spring over timee ?
Do they offer a bench loader for the M1A magazines?
If you accidentally put more rounds in the rail, when you push to load, what will happen? Will it damage the magazine?
It won't allow too many rounds. It won't go in and doesn't damage the mag. Thanks Terry.
