  • If you have a clear understanding on how you best enjoy your boat life and value things like, FAST transit speed, QUIET and COMFORTABLE ride and LUXURY accomodation for 2 - 4 adults then this boat may be very interesting to you.
    If you dream of popping across to the Bahamas or down to Key West and being equiped with an ALL WEATHER platform then you should put the Wellcraft 435 on your short list.
    It's for that style of intimate adventure with a partner or close friends where I believe this boat is going to shine the brightest. While she's capable of the day boat function without a doubt I was left with the feeling that this really is for the man with a mission.
    Let me know what you think?
    Please enjoy.

    First question an Aussie asks about a raccoon is “does it bite’’ because in Australia everything bites. 😂😂

      @BoatLife_DansBoatLife  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes i've been hearing all about this Great Loop! I am guessing you have lots of bridges to deal with so just check the height of the mast as it was a fixed mast and may benefit you to look into converting it to fold down which wouldn't be too difficult with some S/S fabrication. Also this is where Mercury joystick would be helpful because you will have tide to factor in and it would allow you to hold station while you leave the helm and sort out your lines and fenders. I'm glad you found it useful! I find it hard not to appreciate all these great boats and adventures i'm having. I'm always happier when boating.

    These hull designs really move...also very "controllable" in pretty much any sea state. Very high freeboard. Nice shaded design for the "bonnet" and forward angled glass. Would prefer a pure play jet drive outboard motor but the systems and controls that operate new outboard motors are so vastly improved now pretty much a quibble at this point. Diesel as opposed to gasoline would be a nice option. Lithium ion battery technology starting to power up these vessels as well far better than lead acid for everyday "daily driver" applications anyways. Solar panel would be nice. Electronics are in the stone age compared to a Tesla.

    Dan, hope you made it to the Ft. Lauderdale show since you're 'in the neighborhood'. Now....think back to your boat brokerage days, 10 or 20 years ago. Could you have ever imagined the accommodations of this boat inside this hull? Or the degree of luxury and comfort? No matter whom this boat is intended for, what remarkable creativity the builders have built into their products. (Of course, the price marches northward along with them).

      Hi Jack! So last week I was in Spain and this week I'm in Colombia trying to learn some Spanish and enjoying the amazing food they have down here. I'll be back in Ft Lauderdale on Monday. I've done 20yrs of boat shows so I prefer to drive the boats and bring you guys real tests so figured my time is better spent after FLIBS instead of during the show when all the staff are busy. You are SO right about how much design has changed! What I enjoy about this is the boats are genuinely getting faster, smoother and better to operate so we are all winning. Only negative is they arn't getting cheaper :(

I used to do this as a salesman when I was selling boats the previous 20yrs and it helped me immensly to explain everything to all my mates. The more dealers and factories hear from you guys that you get value from my videos the easier it will be for me to ask for the extended access. I'm already asking for the most amout of time compared to all the TH-camrs as I spend 5 - 8hrs onboard every time I film so I understand it's asking for even more time with their boats which is the challenge.

    • @BoatLife_DansBoatLife
      @BoatLife_DansBoatLife  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good question - Currently you need to swim in from the stern laddder or the bigger ladder you can deplor on the wings. So yeah if you have things in the water that want to kill you that's less than idea and a bow ladder is the solution for sure!
      I would however keep a SUP on the roof racks and just float into the beach if I was going ashore to get coffees and didn't want to get wet.

    The biggest negative to me is how narrow the side walkways are, I'd have preferred it if they shifted the upper cabin to port so at least one walkway is a better width. It would make handling lines (along that side at least) much easier when transiting locks.

      Correct this boat is not designed for the Kimberley Region as the market for this is people doing shorter 50 - 100 mile fast runs and staying for the weekend. But yes i've seen plenty of US builds that would be better suited to Top End style of boating for sure. The Aquila 47 Molokai with it's 800NM range is one example.

    I really struggle with boats in this price range i really dont see the value in the jump from 600k to 1.3mil . Granted you have some extra hull space , upgraded electronics and and extra engine but beyond that it just seems like a way to extort money from the people who won't question the price.
    My price range has and always will be maxed out at 500k usd im uk based so £350k and i feel like the value in that area of the market is kept low due to popularity and demand for clever design

      Hmm you’ve given me an idea for a future video. I think I can try to explain some of this. Pricing has gone mental since covid. When I started selling boats in early 2000’s $500k would buy you something at the top of the range. Now it doesn’t

    The man is in south Florida and he's surprised that everyone speaks Spanish. Maybe he surprised that people who own the expensive boats around him speak Spanish, but what do I know? Lovely review, regardless.

      This is my first time to America so still learning all the differences between the states. I haven't heard many people speaking Spanish before we don't really have any Spanish speakers in Australia. Downunder it's more common to hear Asian languages. From Maine to Florida it's like a completely different country so very interesting to see everything I'm enjoying it a lot.

    What a fantastic boat! Yeah, it’s important to remember that Florida was a Spanish colony, not British, and that it’s 90 miles from Cuba, where people are welcome to come in and become Americans as refugees from that communist nightmare in paradise.

    Turn your radar off when you park your boat as you are microwaving everyone nearby!

      I'm sure there are people reading this who know more than me but when I've asked the guys from Raymarine about this they said it's more dangerous to get hit in the head by the spinning radar than the actual microwaves. I was alert to your point, but as we were well above the height of all the people and easily 10ft away I knew it would not be affecting anyone.

      Fair enough. I guess I take the opinion that boating of any kind is always better than other activities. But... I felt this boat was designed for someone who wants to fast commute to cool places and stay onboard. I saw the need for that in Florida for heading over to the Bahamas for example.

      I think the demographic they are targeting is specifically that guy who wants to transit fast and visit places. So the idea is all about the journey and the destinations and not as much lounging onboard compared to other designs. That's my take on it anyway... I could be wrong.
