i am a worker in the construction team of the OT 60 in greece and i will tell you that the quality of parts and craftsmanship is amazing! all of as do our best to make it perfect!!
I always sing your praises Jack. However, it was in watching this video (after having just recently watched another reviewer) that I was struck again by the professional, intelligent, relatable and obviously knowledgeable way that you review boats. You are able to express your obvious experience with boats to your audience that clearly conveys ideas and educates us to boat life especially when it comes to the technicalities that one would normally only come understand by actually experiencing it. Thanks Jack!
What a beautiful BEAUTIFUL vessel she is. I am amazed by how well thought out, functional and beautifully appointed the guest areas are, how well designed and executed the engineering and mechanical areas are and how awesome the whole boat is. The perfect choice for a family to use for cruising the Med. Love it!
Which most people can’t afford :)…. If money is not an object though, id still go with those Finnish made build boathouse the cheapest one I can get brand new :)

That interior space is outrageous for a 60 , and the airy ness is makes the vessel look muc much larger - and the range -and awesome fuel economy make this a special boat indeed-thanks for the review.
I appreciate this boat. I am a minimalist and this yacht was one of the cleanest and least cluttered I have ever seen on the internet. Additionally, everything is laid out with minimal effort on a crew, captain, and guests, which is very impressive. It is not very difficult to understand why this floater won Boat of the Year! Congratulations.
Incredible. Stunning. As near perfect as you could get for 60 foot. Extremely good fluent commentary and tour.. and I think I’ve found my ideal boat; been looking for couple of years now. Amazing how they can sell them for £100,000! (Wish).
WOW!...not many deserve that word but this thing had been beautifully thought out and so so functional...i genuinely love it and from me that is extremely high praise.
As always, a great video review. As someone who has a Saxdor 400 GTC on order, a third of the price mind you, I’m so glad the wife hasn’t seen this video. I’m very impressed with this boat and as someone who in the past bought a Lagoon 56, all I can say is if I was doing it again, I would get a boat like this instead because I spent more time on motors than under sail.
good to hear. that was my exact thinking, with that range and fuel economy this could make sense over a large cat. I wonder how you might be able to deal with crossing the pacific from the US. You would need an additional tank. I wonder if it would be stable for ocean crossings without a sail to leverage.
Dear @@nextari, extra tank arrangement for up to 3,800 ltrs are available. The boat is very stable with minimal rolling due to low displacement, low COG and wide waterline length. It is also a category A boat.
This jumps right up my list for singlehand liveaboard! Closest mono I've seen to a cat. I love the glasshouse saloon. Galley down always gives a so much more functional kitchen and real fridge without blocking helm views. Great that it doesn't have enormous helm seats blocking visibility. I would definitely have solar across the top for maximum hybrid operation. Be even better if the cockpit canopy extended further back for more solar. And a door at the helm. Bow crew cabin I'd make a workshop. You didn't touch on stabilisation? I assume gyro? Looks like you could beach it too for maintenance in the field.
Dear @ashleykerlin, up to 4.5 kW of solar can be fitted as an option on the roof. A door helm is not available but exterior helm for docking is available in the aft port quarter.
This would be in my shortlist if I’d me in the market for a ~2 million yacht. The only thing it seems to be missing is a washer/dryer, hope that’s an option.
Omikron should rename it the Headroom Monster. Wasn't initially keen on the lower deck galley, but loving the spaciousness and airyness of the living accommodations.
One notable omission, from my perspective...comments on hull & deck construction/materials/layup would make this excellent review so much better. Some of us don't just buy the aesthetics of boats but also the underlying construction. If this is meant to be a long-range cruiser then confidence in the hull integrity would be top of mind for serious buyers. Thanks for listening! William in Singapore.
You think that is the entire boat, is there a clothes washer? Dryer? Water maker? Windlass and chain locker location? Heating? Cooling? Radar? FLIR? Electricity consumption? Generators/solar/wind? Cameras? Sat nav? Emergency fuel tank? Sounders and fishing lockers? Live bait tank? Wash down? Location and type of tender? To name a few, so not the entire boat.
That is a great boat, I thought at first it was a Catamaran with the beam of it, very spacious with a great layout, very bright and airy with great finishes, Great tour Jack thank you.
How might one get a boat like this from USA to South Pacific? Probably best to ship it there on cargo boat. With the shallow draft, it's probably not stable enough for crossings as you don't have a sail to stabilize. You need about 3k nm range to hop from LA to Hawaii to Marshall's. Crazy idea but I wonder if you could mount spare tanks on the swim deck. 2,000 ltr fuel = 3k pounds/ 1.5k kg - plus tank weight so it would probably need structural integration.
Dear @nextari, range of up to 3,000 Nm with optional tanks of 3,800ltrs is possible. The boat is really stable due to its very low COG and wide waterline.

Hey Jack, you are really doing great reviews, well done, in depth, full of passion, your experience is valued and thank you for the wide variety of content. 😊
This is a good boat. We all seem to be benfitting a lot from all the yards competition going on at the moment. In a few years people will want to swap their boats and the market will be flooded with more boats than customers so I can get one for cheaps!!!! Hurrah!
Are you going to get a sea trial on this Jack? Keen to know how that helm works, so far away from the window. Im suspecting lots of reflection from the galley below and the lounge your sat in the middle of. Only one way to find out... 👍
Dear @Nezzer57, all lights are controlled from the helm and low red courtesy lights are installed all around the interior to aid with moving around at night time and avoid reflections.
Phenomenal presentation, my first of this channel. The cameraman disappears as we are invited to an intimate, detailed, and respectful tour. This is actually the first motor vessel I've considered over a sailing yacht. 1 liter per nm is astounding. My only question is if the galley atrium comes at the cost of other space, but that would have to be seen in person. The one other concern was the escape hatch for the master suite appears to be on the side, due to it's height. I suppose if there's one on each side, it's good enough. Great show!
I do like this concept. Looks like its designed for sailors looking to move to power, without the desire to motor quickly. Run an engine all day, and spend $60 on fuel. Like the low profile which creates a very sleek nautical style - again akin to a beautiful sailboat versus the floating condo look of taller motor yachts.
very nice concept. id like to see her get 1500 miles though - will she take extended tanks? is also be curious about her seakeeping in rough conditions.
Dear @ironichumorist, range of up to 3,000 Nm with optional tanks of 3,800ltrs is possible. The hull design has been optimized for efficiency but also exceptional seakeeping in rough weather. Hence the category A rating, which is rare in this size. As an option electric fin stabilizers with zero speed capability are available.

Thanks for the kind words, Gary, I’m glad you liked the review. We’re hoping to sea trial the boat later in the year so will find out then if they have made any changes - Jack
Such a cool boat. The sea trial video of this boat is great too. This boat's only downside is it really needs front wiper blades because of the straight hull sides - so v2.0 might flare this hull more - but in every other way its a brilliant design and build.
Beautiful boat well suited to a long Med cruise with daily port-to-port segments. For offshore, Robert Bebe would likely have some objections. Two come to mind: The broad flat hull likely has much initial stability but a very sharp roll motion at sea. And a safe night watch would require complete lights-out in the galley area. You might resolve this with a kind of roll-out light-proof awning over the galley. Without this the night watch would be a nightmare of reflections from all of that wonderful glass. (To be seaworthy, that glass should be virtually bullet-proof, of course.)
I love this. Efficiency is way more important to me than speed is. Really impressive. I would go with the solar panels in top. What price are we looking at? Or is that not been disclosed yet?
Wonderful yacht - could imagine spending summers cruising around Europe in this for a few months every year. I’d want to ditch the be spirit though 😬 Great tour Jack and team, as always.
At first, i had no intention of looking at this …too big for a retired couple and too expensive for my wallet. But then, i realized this boat is exactly where my curiosity laid. My wish is for a 30’ cabin cruiser, like a saxdor 320 gtc or quarken 35 etc. the OT60 has the same basic shape as the small cabin cruisers. Then i heard the 12/15knot speed and long range cruising, then i knew the parameters of this boat was exactly what i was looking for. My interest was in a comfortable long range slower traveler, so i the bow shape for cutting through water rather than planing like the small cruisers do at 40mph. It was the bow i wanted on the saxdor. I read there’s a nearly 13’ mast on this?
Like this one , nice to do a lazy long distance trip around the Med or wherever really , like the layout very thoughtfull , not sure what I would change
I wonder how it would go in a big sea. It’s very flat underneath, it looks like it would be horrible in a head sea or does the fine bow compensate for this
After just finishing the American Great Loop, I am fascinated by the cruising range (@ 3 mpg) and the layout... very comfortable looking for a 60 footer (which is small enough for the Great Loop! Would have to check the air draft.). One thing I noticed, which I think is an oversight on the builders part, is redundancy on the fuel filters. On The Loop (a bit over 6,500 miles) we had to change fuel filters several times. The guys with the dual filters made it look so easy. They could bypass one filter, and change it out while using the other. However, very beautiful, very cool boat, and plenty fast for the Loop. I am curious what the base asking price is of course! Oh, now I see one comment... $1.9 million... I was expecting closer to 3! Wonder what it would cost to ship to the US? 😊
Dear @ddbbloch4457, air draft is 4.9m (16’1’’). It can be reduced to 4.1m (13’5’’) with a pivoting mast. Duplex fuel filters, fuel polishing system and extended range tanks (4,000 ltrs in total) are all options.
Dear @RayTheMickey, electric fin stabilizers with zero speed capability are available as an option. The bridge clearance is 4.7m. This can be reduced to 4.1m with a hinged mast.
For really specialized buyers it will be perfect. I wonder how well the helm will work, set way back from the windshields? Also, with the open atrium it will be damned near impossible to drive the boat at night with lights on in the galley area.
Gave it a like because the nice walkthrough but I really question the range. It is marketed as a long range cruiser but when I try to find specs for this, all it says is 1200l tank gives 1000 miles at 8 knots............??? So how far do one get at 6 knots on 1 engine? What is the real max range? Can one put more tankage on it? Can I go across the atlantic?
there a boat just like this in chicago that I see everyday when I go to my daily run. god it’s so uniquely built boat it stands out from the other boats in marina.
Wow with that efficiency (around 5Kwh per nautical mile at 8knt) it's getting close to being viable as a battery electric vessel. I wonder if combustion efficiency could get better somehow and by how much. Those engines are probably reaching 50% thermal.
The boat is very nice indeed. Love the look. The layout is cool. Yet for me, the guests cabins could be the same, singles that could come together to be a double or both singles or doubles. Would like at lease double range. Finally, “wide side decks” takes away from the interior portion of the 18’ beam. Narrower side decks or a 1/2 wide body, and engine options would cinch it. ❤
Good to see sailing hydrodynamics at play in a motor boat hull ... but not a huge fan of that bowsprit arrangement - cosmetically pretty, but dipping the bow into a wave is going to put a massive upward force on the upturned spoon of that GRP coaming...

Stabilizers? Possibility of larger tanks? Shore hookup? At 6'4", superb headroom, although not apparently in the engine room
Absolutely stunning.
A beautiful boat. Another 1000 ltrs of fuel would be nice though.
And also another 8 cylinders per engine😉
Not a transatlantic vessel that it needs to be for its size.
Is there options for engine brand choices?
2,000 NM with 2.000 liter capacity? Want to cruise oceans, go for ocean cruising boats😅. Most people will cruise 150NM per season...
Why would you need more fuel on a boat like this? It has more than enough range.
Any stabilization? What is the bridge clearance?
Dear @RayTheMickey, electric fin stabilizers with zero speed capability are available as an option. The bridge clearance is 4.7m. This can be reduced to 4.1m with a hinged mast.
How is that hull in rough seas?
Beautiful Yacht, Clever Design, I want One✌❤🤗
Seriously impressed.
Can these be fitted with sails for greater efficiency?
I loved how you reviewed this boat. Like your style. Subbed!
Awesome, thank you!
Brilliant vessel coupled with an excellent tour.
🤟
Wow with that efficiency (around 5Kwh per nautical mile at 8knt) it's getting close to being viable as a battery electric vessel. I wonder if combustion efficiency could get better somehow and by how much. Those engines are probably reaching 50% thermal.
a 4 ton $300,000 US battery pack would get you about 200-250 miles of range xd
huh I missed the part about the hybrid version
I would like to have seen bigger fuel tanks, but a very impressive boat.
I heard they had an option for expanded fuel capacity.
Kapal yang sangat mewah sekali,,trimakasih temanku sudah berbagi video yang sangat menarik❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I wouldnt change a thing .....its spot on
Amazing design 👏👍
( with some options and a nice dinghy around E 2.1 m ? ).
Crikey Jack! Someone's pinched the mast!! :)
😄
Good to see sailing hydrodynamics at play in a motor boat hull ... but not a huge fan of that bowsprit arrangement - cosmetically pretty, but dipping the bow into a wave is going to put a massive upward force on the upturned spoon of that GRP coaming...
Dear @ianhornsby, the coaming is glued on a substantial stainless structure which will take the slamming load.
Dang, love it! That's an awesome boat. Love love it! Thanks for this video.
👌
What an amazing boat! Love everything about it!
Is is shaft drive too?
Sure is 👌
@@Yachtbuyer The would seal the deal, if I had money. Lol
Dear @1320fastback, it is a shaft drive with a Bruntons Sigma thrust bearing system, decoupling the propeller thrust from the engine.
