      Elvis never left the states.
He got lapped. Still a legend. But lapped.

That man just sings like a mother****er. And he always manages to sound better live, and his studio recordings are incredible.
As for the list of famous people, Elvis was #1 and daylight is second.

First time ever that a performance was covered by satellite and aired on TV all over the world. If I remember right, there was over a billion viewers simultaneously in 36 countries the 70s. That was huge back then. Yeah Biz, Marty Robbins did a great job on this, his own song but Elvis knocked it out of the park with power.

Elvis would HAVE to be more famous than even Michael Jackson. This Honolulu concert ALONE drew over ONE BILLION, almost 2 billion people watching it on closed circuit TV at the time. More people saw this concert than saw ALL MICHAEL JACKSON CONCERTS COMBINED. Think of that. Elvis had 114 TOP 40 Hits.
EP - 114!!! MJ had 36. And Elvis sold 1.6 BILLION ALBUMS (Source: RCA Victor) calculated way back in 1986. He is probably hovering at 3 BILLION by this point. MJ hasnt even broken ONE billion to this day.
EP is WORLDWIDE. Its the dude's charisma and work ethic and kindness. MJ and Beyonce and James Brown and so many others were INFATUATED with Elvis and were heavily influenced by him.

I don't know who made that list, but I'd have to say Elvis was number one over everyone else. Over 500 recordings and that concert right there from Hawaii was watched by a quarter of the earth's population at the time. 1.5 billion people sat in front of their TVs to watch him. No recording for a later time, just aired once and you had to be in front of your TV to see it. A quarter of the people on Earth got home to sit in front of the TV. Nobody else has ever done that. I was born in the 50's and he was a household name for decades. Michael appealed to a certain percentage, but Elvis was bigger than life to most.

Wow, I hear Blues, Country, Rock, Pop, and Gospel.. All in his 1 majestic Voice. Love it! He is just The King Period.. As John Lennon said, "Before Elvis, there was nothing".. Maybe an exaggeration, but I get it!

Mah man.... appreciate your reaction to the King of Music himself - Elvis Presley. In the world of music and entertainment power and value, Elvis Presley is the benchmark everyone else is measured by. He most definitely is NOT number 2. There's Elvis, and then there's everyone else. EP is the Top Cat, man....TCBing since he sang "It's Alright Mama" ✌🏽💯⚡❤️

      Elvis is the bench mark?
      He loved 14 year olds.
He did what he was told to do.
      He was a drug addict
What bench mark did you set for your partner?

Elvis and the Black Community....if you haven't watched this video, you should. You will understand Elvis a whole lot more, his roots are in Gospel music.
Also watch the movie * Elvis if you havent. He broke music and racial barriers. (Sinatra also broke racial barriers in entertainment.)
Elvis brought black music to white people. He didn't write songs but when he heard a song he liked and related to, he recorded/covered it in his style. And, he sang in several genres.
There's a video of Sinatra and Elvis singing together. It's from Frank Sinatra's tv show. Elvis had just come home from the Army and was revving up his singing career. It had been on hiatus do to his movie career and 2 yrs. overseas in the Arm( watch the entire video, Elvis sings 2 songs before he and Sinatra do a duet)
Love you and your channel. Keep on doing what you're doing. Great reaction.

When watching live videos of Elvis, pay particular attention to the drummer Ronnie Tutt. Him and Elvis played off of each other very well. Ronnie's play was excellent, and he was one of the few drummers at the time that used double bass kits! Elvis preferred to stand in front of the drums because he felt the beat better, and Ronnie could watch him easily. Elvis used hand and arm gestures to even help the orchestra know when to do certain things. This is very evident in songs like Polk Salad Annie and Suspicious Minds, both from Las Vegas, footage from the 1970 documentary movie called That's The Way It Is.

The one thing about Elvis.. his voice was so powerful and stood out over the instruments and the backup singers.. He has the Sweet Inspirations as backup.. 3 amazing black women. but his voice always overpowered.. which it should because he was lead.. but sometimes I listen to artists today and backup overpowers. Not Elvis.

Mister Jackson was at his best in Jackson 5. In my opinion. He was a child talent and so was his family. )
    He was a prodigy.
Elvis was the same. But he matured and served time in the military. ( Michael did not ) was taught by baptist preachers. Was poor. But was as he said “ Friends, I was blessed and may the God who blessed me bless you)

Buz, Elvis is #72 of the most famous people of all time, MJ is #89. Jesus is #1 followed by Shakespeare, George Washington, Cleopatra, Abraham Lincoln, Caesar, Napoleon, Aristotle, Alexander the Great and Leonardo da Vinci in the top 10.

MJ admired Elvis and copied so many things from him. Watch a video “I’ve Got A Feeling In My Body” by Elvis Presley & Michael Jackson to see the examples. MJ even married Elvis’ daughter!

Written by Marty Robbins. Frankie Laine had a hit with it. Ten times better with Elvis singing it. Like Three Dog Night, he had the genius of taking a good song and tweaking the heck out of it and making it into a masterpiece.
