      @@ChristineWong I'd like to know more specifics on what a tech consultant would literally do when working on common projects like ERP implementations, moving to the cloud, etc. I know the basics about ERP systems and cloud softwares, but am curious as to what tech consultants do day to day for these projects. I could be wrong, but I feel like a lot of your viewers know what these technologies are used for, but maybe not know how tech consultants use them to accomplish their client's goals.

    • @ChristineWong

      Definitely! I can cover how it is with a Workday implementation, but I actually plan on having a video interview series of tech consultants out there to bring some more light into what exactly to expect! I can’t speak for all, but that’s the least I could do!
      I plan on doing the same for women in the workforce and tech professionals (not just in consulting)!

    I interviewed for Accenture technology but never even had a case interview just a technology showcase where I have a 5 min presentation on a certain technology usecase

    • @ChristineWong
      @ChristineWong  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup, depending on where and when you interview, you may or may not ever get a case interview! I’ve heard many people get tech case interviews, many get tech showcases, and many get assessment centres and group case studies within the past year. Accenture changes their process a lot. I made this video before I found out they shifted to a different style introducing a digital assessment as well (something I never did).
      A lot of Big 4 still do tech case interviews, and their processes are very similar as I observed when I coach my clients.

    Thanks for making these videos, Christine. After the TDP training, what will be the official job title? Does it vary depending on the project?

    • @ChristineWong
      @ChristineWong  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your title may actually differ! It depends on what path you go. Some have Platform Advisory Analyst, some have Software Engineering Analyst, and so forth. When you’re interviewing for TDP they recommend you for a path (and tell you) as well. This path can determine what kind of work you would be doing and types of projects you could do. You could still pivot as long as you have the skillset for it but the recruiter chooses the path based off of the initial interview and your background.

    hi Christine, thank you so much for sharing the content! what are publications or podcasts would you recommend for graduates who would like to learn more about the tech industry?

    • @ChristineWong
      @ChristineWong  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m more of a TH-cam person than a publication, but I highly recommending checking out the FB group as it has resources on what’s out there in tech. In addition, I actually have a podcast that helps you learn about tech careers and tech as well! Some other podcasts that cover tech is Tech Crunch (they have a YT channel too) and WSJ Tech Mews Briefing. I learn more about the tech industry via TH-cam channels myself though than through podcasts.

    I had a tech consulting interview where I had to give a presentation about a technical project I’ve worked on and the system implementation and why I designed the system the way I did, why I chose the technologies, how my technical decisions directly addresses the project requirements etc. then they asked me a ton of questions about the choices i made. And gave different scenarios and I had to answer how my system would adapt to those scenarios

      Hahaha, yes and no 😹 I think management consulting is more PowerPoint heavy for sure. Tech is more doing, developing and implementing. I barely touched PowerPoint my entire 3-4 years there as I did more demos and open conversations with a white board more.
