Consulting is a very stressful career choice..unless you are part of a very technical consulting firm (usually energy), you will find yourself in an overworked, hyper competitive environment, where often you have to "wing it" and pretend to have an understanding you dont really posses. Also, not very inspiring, unless you work in the renewable energy / sustainable development sectors. Pluses: very smart colleagues & you won't get bored easily. I was a consultant for 6 years of my life, glad I changed career path (like many). Dont get tricked by the glitter, there are much better jobs out there than consulting.

With all said, an interviewee is just a puppet in front of the interviewer and has no chance to talk from his or her heart and even if did so, it solely depends on how you impressed the interviewer at the moment and there are many other factors intrinsic. It is not easy to articulate in a video speaking about how prepared you are, what you do, and all.

Fortune 500 CEOs will listen to HBS Baker Scholars because they also are graduates of HBS or wished that they could have been accepted at HBS. Once you’ve been accepted at Harvard the mystique is gone for the rest of your life. It’s not that big of a deal.

Let's be frank. Strategy consulting has lost its attractiveness, especially the MBB club. Young people have realized that in these clubs you use the same methods over and over again to structure and solve problems that your client has no time/HR for to tackle. What does it create? Efficiency machines with little personality and drive. Has a Steve Jobs type of person ever come from an MBB organization? I don't think so! Why? Because these organizations don't teach you how to run a business, be creative, or persuade people in a novel, inspiring way. In fact, they teach you anything but that.

Oh yeah, you don't know any because these people don't become famous. Also, I was talking about founders. CEO of Google is not a founder (wealth creator), but an employee of a well-established organization (wealth sustainer) - that might work. But MBB kills creativity & dreams ;)
