Going from Bowser's goofy propeller soup bowl in SMW to THIS was insane. Still one of the greatest final bosses I've ever fought.

3:54-4:10 = my reaction going to the hospital to meet my nephew the day after he was born. To think, he, his sister (born 14 months later), and quite a few of their cousins (born over the subsequent years between 2015, 2016, 2017 and March 2019) tended to easily fall asleep in my arms as newborns. :*)

here is what i cannot believe why is it that the music has to make me so damn emotional when it comes to the ending of the game. I guess knowing that i have a child of my own it really hits you hard. but honestly i love it.

En mi opinion el jefe final da algo de tension, el soundtrack siempre me gusto, y la musica del ending se me hace muy emotiva, la verdad mi infancia fue increible gracias a este hermoso juego, jaja yo hablo español/ i speak spanish, alguien mas habla español? XD

jajaja siii, este jefe fue algo sorprendente para mi, creo que lo jugue hasta completarlo a los 11, yo no sabia que hacer, bowser era gigante y venia hacia y mi y yo rrecuerdo que le lanzaba los huevos gigantes y nunca le daba hacia su cara jajajaja, mas que cuando corre me hace desesperarme aun mas xD and yes I speak Spanish too bro xD

Once Bowser goes back to his original size, Yoshi swallows him and, puts him in a egg, and chucks him off the building.
One of my favorite games ever.
I loved this game.
This game and SM64 still stand in my mind as the best video game endings

Zerei esse jogo em 2010 , eu tinha 10 anos. Foi o primeiro jogo que zerei por conta própria (e não tinha no meu idioma), o jogo foi uma emoção gigante,principalmente nesse último Com o Bowser . 3:55- É impossível não chorar aqui. Obrigado ,Yoshi ! Sempre vou lembrar desse jogo com muito carinho para sempre ❤❤

when the music for a baby bowser fight is heavier and way better than a normal bowser fight
With Baby Bowser and Kamek defeated, Yoshi saved the stork and the Mario bros are delivered to their parents and the Yoshis lived happily ever after, except for the Koopas
Fun fact, the giant Baby Bowser is not a sprite, he’s actually part of the background :D
They did not have to make this fight go this hard, but they did and that’s awesome

well this isn't actually what happened when mario and luigi were born, i think they were actually taken to new york if nintendo haven't noticed. if yall don't know that, then i'll be a new writer of a movie based on the donkey kong 1981 arcade game.
here are some things that i want to add.
1. Background with text of the story (Yoshi's island background) - After Mario and Luigi had a long adventure of getting delivered to Brooklyn new York city. Their parents have moved their because of the beautiful movie stars and other stuff that they really like.
In 1981, Mario and Luigi have grown into Adults, and have stylish mustaches because of professional puberty of age.
2.Title Card - The "Donkey Kong movie" logo breaks out of a huge barrel that says "Property of A&W".
3.Opening credits - Adapted from Donkey Kong the arcade game released in 1981, Characters Mario, Pauline, Donkey Kong, Luigi and other that wasn't created in the original game.
4.Setting title card No.1, July 8th, 1981 "The day before the circus act".
5.Type of Music - Early 80s Style music (Because the game was released in 1981 so, yeah! i will make some 80s style music. Virtually).
Well i'm going to make that movie with gacha club. So wait until i make it.
If you want this to be in line with Mario lore, keep in mind tho, that Donkey Kong Arcade does not take place in 1981, but somewhere inbetween 2005 and 2010
You could also change New York to New Donk, since this is where DK Arcade took place
@@nincrony3718 fine! then all whatever on that comment i've sent, is now taken by me for a favor of a Non profit fan series. the first episode will start with the middle school years aka the preteen years, then years later to july 9th 1981. just the same date as donkey kong arcade. so there you have it. it is now my new plot of a fan series i'm going to make. OH! and that fan series i'm making is going to be titled the Bros and Kong. and since i can't animate or draw the mario bros or donkey kong....then i'll use gacha club. might not be right to you, but i'll do it anyway

But @5:25 I remember one of the Rambo films ending with similar piano and him walking into the distance.

Epic final boss. Totally stacks up with any other intense finale to a game of its era, along with Final Fantasy 6's Kefka, Earthbound's Giygas and Chrono Trigger's Lavos, despite its relative simplicity and the fact Yoshi's Island is mostly a very lighthearted game. The music absolutely kicks ass, making you feel like a badass while reminding you how high the stakes actually are between you and Baby Bowser. The way BB's face is cloaked in shadow and how he stares you down is legit threatening, while the best part is when he can only take one more egg hit, he RAMS you down, eventually destroying the platforms and your footing. He's HUGE! I was never scared of this fight as a kid, but I certainly felt the intensity.
Who else scared while playing the GBA version? For me, I tried to shoot the giant Bowser till I get it but my heart raised up during the middle in the fight on my GBA emulator.
What's so memorable about this boss is, spoilt Baby Bowser wants to ride the 'donkey', but as a giant that's outgrown such frivolous activities, is having a tantrum. He wants to destroy Yoshi for hitting him, and take the babies by force.

i have the theory that they were born in the kingdom but moved to brooklyn when they were very young, only for them to move back decades later when they heard of bowser’s invasion.

Don't you hate it when you get face to face in a showdown with any retro gamers worst enemy: The render distance?
It goes without saying.
But this final boss is perfect,
The atmosphere, the black void down below, the music, the way you defeat the final boss acting as one final test of your egg throwing skills, baby bowsers scary appearance and the fact that he can one shot you if you get too close.
Almost 40 years since the Mario series began, this remains my favorite final boss in Mario
(Galaxy being a close second for me)
He always gave me massive anxiety when I'd hit him, and then he'd come charging closer even faster. Something really creepy about it.
