  • Customer brought us his 2006 GSXR 750 he had recently purchased that wouldn't start. The battery had swollen as well and he replaced that because he thought that was his issue. It was much worse.

    Awesome video, and I'm a significantly more educated buyer now for the bike I'm checking out this weekend. Will be bringing a multimeter since you showed how to test it as well. Thanks so much

    How do u know if ecu was bad? Waiting on gasket to replace bad stator and rectifier. B4 1st R/R replaced, dash rpm would reset and headlamp started to flash, bike struggled then died.

    Not sure if anyone will see this but ok so i have my battery on a Trickle Charger it will keep my bike up and running for a few days and then it starts to struggle to turn on my guess is that its the stator and rectifier ok but my bike also jerks from 1st gear to 2nd to 3rd back to 2nd or first and it shows it on my dash and i can feel my bike trying to speed up or slow down while im holding the throttle in the same position but when im in 5-6th gear theres no issue with the whole jerking through gears thing (i have a 2007 GSXR 750) any tips or helpful advice is appreciated im just trying to learn guys

      On the gear changing deal, I'm not sure. There's no way for it to just change gears back and forth without you physically changing gears.... It can kick out of a gear, with a bent shift fork, but it won't go back in on its own.
      If it's just showing your gears changing up on the dash, but not actually changing gears, then that's your gear position sensor failing... Which is common.
      As far as the first thing you mentioned with the charging system, you can test that with a multimeter.

    ...also, the gear doesn't match what gear I am in, I want to get back out and have some fun, but I don't know what is causing the issue, I need help badly!

      Gear Position sensor... Common to go out. It's inside the clutch cover and is fairly easy to swap. Probably a video or at least a write up if you search the old forums.

    How did you wire the 2 red and 2 black?

    • @TEAMWRIGHTEOUS
      @TEAMWRIGHTEOUS  ปีที่แล้ว

      There's only one red and one black once you update to a mosfet rectifier.

    Part numbers? I see ricks has a lithium’s charge ing system as well witch one would last longer?? And where are you located!! Might just bring it to you!

      I order stator from Rick's for the bike, and rectifier from www.roadstercycle.com
      Be sure to get relocate bracket with it as well.

    I’m unclear why you use the MosFit Reg/Rec. is that better to use or more durable or better built? Then the Rick’s?

    • @TEAMWRIGHTEOUS
      @TEAMWRIGHTEOUS  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, they're a better design and last longer. Plus these come with the relocate bracket, and new harness to replace the old and tired factory harness.

    I want to purchase the MOSFET R/R and Stator, I'm a novice when working on my 2007 Suzuki GSX R750, so I have replaced the R/R and Stator, only to have the same issue twice. The third time I had a shop replace the R/R and Stator, and now it's starting to get expensive, with the same problem. Of course, it wasn't a MOSFET, so I want to spend the money, but is the setup of this R/R easy for a novice?

      @TEAMWRIGHTEOUS  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's moderately easy if you have any type of mechanical skills at all. I did my first one way before I ever even started working on bikes for other people. There are probably way more detailed videos online as well. Just make sure you relocate the rectifier to the side like I did on this one.
