    Using a 1/4 inch universal socket was the way I went about doing this removal. I put a 14mm socket on one end of the swivel and a 10 inch extension on the other. Then on the extension I put a 3/8 to 1/4 reducer which allowed me to use a 3/8 ratchet for more torque. Also it's a good idea to first put a tiny piece paper towel jammed into the 14mm socket so that it will hold on to the nut in the event you remove it entirely; you don't want it to fall down into the shock tower. This also will help immensely when replacing the nuts after the shocks are replaced.

      oh we've had our fair share of burning out bushings for sure
