what about the Apex Engineering rear subframe? I dont know if you have used any of their products before. I cannot find any s13, s14, or J30 rear subframe, so It sounds like a good alternative considering they make parts for our chassis.
Yeah I've talked with Ohm the owner of apex a little bit about it. It looks like a good option for something bolt in. They're supposedly coming out with some options for better differential and axle options but nothing is set in stone as far as I know
@@blqnk6270 I'm like 90% sure the Z32 NA diff will fit if you use the S13 diff cover. The TT diff is a R230 and won't fit with modifications. Also the Z32 NA uses 5 bolt axles so you'd need those too but they may be too long for the S13 track width
I'm going to use the axle space adapter to use the 350z axle on my s14 but I regret going this route already. The way is sits now the axle's are a bit compressed and I can't extend the arms too much because the struts it's sitting in a angle right now.
Axle spacers? They change the S14 3x2 bolt pattern to 6x1? Villains drift will cut and weld your axle stubs to accept 350z axles. I'd go that route instead of using a spacer adapter for the exact issue you're having
@@BLITZERKING1 Yea, so basically I bought these adapters long ago from a company called maverick motorsports. They don't exist anymore. I have a complete J30 rear subframe that I'm rebuilding. Other than swapping to N/A Z32 rear aluminum knuckles, brakes and bearings, what would you recommend for about 400ftlbs of torque?
Aluminum knuckles and Z32 brakes are optional but nice upgrades. 400ft/lbs isn't too bad if you're not launching from a dig. You should be fine but if you start breaking things you can always make some upgrades
@@RealityUntold yeah but a launch at the start of an autocross race and a launch on a prepped surface with drag radials is different so you should be fine. Hey bro so if I were to put the q45 diff into my 89’ s13 would you reccomend still grabbing the axel upgrades?
You can try 350z axles. They're cheap and easy to find

Yeah I believe it's around a 2004-2007 model year Pathfinder. Be careful because some of them had the R230 which was bigger
I use a GK tech diff brace made for the S14 subframe and 350z diff
z dif with s13 just bolts right up after changing the cover? the cutting mod is only for the 350 dif? i have an s13 with 1990 z dif.
The Z32 NA diff should bolt in if you change the diff cover. The 350z diff will not bolt in except with Collins adapter maybe

No

A 240sx LSD for an open diff will work in a Z31 diff case. A 240sx diff won't bolt in
