    I love this video!
    Thank you, I’m still super new working on cars and I have also been interested in LS swaps so this video helps. I’ve rebuilt my VG30 twice and am looking at moving to an LS as my next platform.

    How did you get tach and speedo to work with digital dash? Is there a wiring diagram you found somewhere?

    • @BLITZERKING1
      @BLITZERKING1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The wiring is in the Factory Service Manual but I used this site to easily find what wires I needed on the EFI plug by the right side footwell, it's a great resource xenonzcar.com/z31/DEwiring.php

    • @BLITZERKING1
      @BLITZERKING1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used the stock tach wire to wire in my diyautotune tach adapter and output the tach signal in my Goldbox to the dash(you can find it on their website). Then I wired my T56 magnum VSS signal from the trans into my Goldbox. The Goldbox has a VSS output wire going to the stock wiring that connects to the speed sensor in the engine bay (the sensor that takes the cable driven speed from the stock trans and outputs a digital signal to the dash, for digital dash cars onpy)

    In the beginning of the video, you said the VG30 is a good motor. I have an 85 z31 N/A. I have been considering simply swaping to the stock turbo motor, then upgrading the turbo rather than attempting to put a turbo on the N/A motor. What are your thoughts. I dont want more than 300-400 HP.

    • @BLITZERKING1
      @BLITZERKING1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think you can realistically do it for $6k. That depends on what transmission you want and if you want a turbo. Maybe I'll make a video about the cost
      edit: I made a Z31 LS swap cost video

    I am doing a 5.3 with a Holley Terminator X. I am going to try the t5 because I found one cheap and use a old 63 bellhousing which iv'e heard will work. I bought an adapter plate to connect them. Not sure what clutch will fit in that yet. Eventually going to a t56 or tko 500 or 600. I do plan on doing some type of cheap turbo kit but i'm not sure yet on what yet. I'm not looking to make crazy numbers somewhere between 400 and 500 hp. I was thinking of running it NA for a while but it sounds like it may be more of a headache trying to make the exhaust fit around the steering. Should I just go with a turbo kit and run low low boost? I'm hoping the stock z31 rear end and t5 transmission will hold up for a little while to enjoy the car until I upgrade to the new trans and 350z rear end. Thoughts?

    • @BLITZERKING1
      @BLITZERKING1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      People try to stay away from the T5's cause they don't take much power but you can try and roll the dice, see what happens. It'll be super easy to hit 400-500whp on low boost with a 5.3 so I'd go that route. I've heard guys use block huggers headers or even slightly modified late Camaro headers if you're NA so it shouldn't be too bad. The stock subframe should be fine for you if you aren't launching the car on slicks lol. It's quite a bit of work to convert to a multi link subframe

      @@BLITZERKING1 Thanks. No licks or launches. I will probably get Toyo R888 at some point. I had them on my s2k and they gripped nice when I wanted them to. I will probably just go right to the turbo kit. Any suggestions on the budget turbo kit? I was also thinking of doing the BTR turbo stage 2 cam kit. Needed or no? Stock cam and springs good?

    • @BLITZERKING1
      @BLITZERKING1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@charliepennington9788 I would definitely upgrade the stock valve springs at least. A cam will add a lot of HP, I like the summit stage 2 turbo cam. Just take the stock truck manifolds and flip them over to make your own turbo crossover. For a turbo I'd get a VS racing 7875. That'll hit you goals easily and the cast one is only $400

    I'm debating on the s13 sub-frame..how hard was it to install?..

    • @BLITZERKING1
      @BLITZERKING1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not really hard. It's just time consuming, especially notching the body to fit the subframe. The S14 subframe is a little easier to fit and it requires 2 less notches in the body. It took me about a week of 5-6 hour days to finish mine. Someone more experienced could probably get it done a little faster
