    Hey Noi, really enjoyed this one again! Yeah the evening shots on the iPhone struggled, but its sure nice to have a smartphone that can help you tell a story!

    I finally managed to see the quality of the iPhone 16 Pro videos even in low light. And finally without applying noise reduction or extreme color to make it look beautiful at all costs. In the evening they suck, but with the right light some even seemed cinematic. It's a very fluctuating quality

      @@lb_projekt yup. Exactly this. I’m sure I could get the night scenes to work but that defeats the whole purpose of just being able to use this as a run-and-gun camera. It’s just not ideal at night. Thank god I still have my Sony cameras. Once I’m done testing the iPhone I’ll probably hop back on making content with a dedicated camera.

      It's so liberating! If the image quality was 20% better I would feel okay with just shooting with the iPhone. Then again, there's that overheating :(

    Always amazing how you put daily stuff together and your grading although for you basic I still find very pleasing to watch :)
    At night the phone footage falls apart, but to be fair the main camera is a bit better at night compared to the ultra wide lens. In such cases something such the pocket 3 does have the advantage due to one inch sensor + log recording. But again if you have a good story the footage quality is secondary as we all know :) - "Image quality and quality image are completely separate things - Roman Fox"
    Do you tweak your audio in post to get better results, since you don't use a mic? And did you have a look at the Blackmagic app and the log footage of it? I'm curious about your experience, if you see any difference, if the files are smaller.
    Curious for more upcoming vlogs from you - with the phone again? :)
    Take care my friend!

      @@IntrovertAmateur Thank you kind sir. Appreciate the kind words and it’s true. I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t pick apart image quality anymore. I’m just simply vlogging after all. With that said, I still really do love image quality lol!
      Regarding night time shooting with this phone. I’m pretty sure I’m not using best practices. I’ve seen people shoot better night time videos but perhaps they are cherry picking their shots or spending a lot of time making sure there’s somewhat proper lighting around them before they shoot. For me I wanted to showcase the abilities with the least amount of blockades. What the average Joe should expect when they use this camera in the dark.
      You keep mentioning the black magic app. I haven’t looked in to it yet. I’m going to download it now but honestly, if it’s complicated I will probably never use it lol. I’m old

    The iPhone is hard to beat for many of us since you always have it with you, and the image quality is pretty decent. However, I feel that the sound from the iPhone doesn’t quite measure up. If you compare it to something like the DJI Action 4, for example, the sound quality from the DJI Action 4 is incredibly good, especially considering it’s an action camera. This is probably partly because you hold it a bit closer, but mostly because it has a much better microphone. I don't even bother using the DJI microphone anymore, it sounds better, but I don’t think it makes a big difference in clarity. At the moment, I wouldn’t use a phone for vlogging. If I did, I’d make the image more edgy-more contrast, grit, etc.-and use an external mic. But that kind of defeats the purpose of vlogging with a phone.

      @@stefansundstrom6755 interesting about audio. The iPhone 16 audio is supposed to be very good. I’m sure I’m not using it properly since it’s not a priority of mine.
      I think under the right circumstances the iPhone is a great blogging camera. I’ve made a couple of other videos with it. In some instances it almost looks as good as some of my Sony footage. Pretty crazy.

    The footage looked incredible, except for the potato and sushi nightwalking. Do you feel because the phone is capable of recording raw externally that you'd get fomo if you didn't shoot that way? As in, how's it compare to just recording it internally and grading it to match?

    • @noisackda2564
      @noisackda2564  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@BrianCatalano yeah I’m definitely shooting raw because it’s the “professional” option. Let me try and record normally. I heard the quality is worse but I can’t see how lol. Perhaps record pro res in perfect situations and normal at night.

      @@noisackda2564 That's what I was thinking, but it was a "How to" type of video.
