The 5X portrait mode pics look incredible, even at 12 MP. When the tele lens gets the 48 MP sensor on the 17 Pro, it’s going to be next level.

Boom! you can do it actually with peak quality with some attachable lenses available in the market..only issue is that they are not that cheap...some brands even sell lenses that provide anamorphic characters in phone shots for cinematographic shots...

The fact that the exposure compensation was kept at -2.0 throughout almost the entirety of the shootout was quite telling. It speaks to the ability of Lee to spot and see interesting scenes with nice natural contrast and depth rather than the iPhone’s imaging pipeline prowess. iPhone just doesn’t seem to like any kind of shadows and whenever it spots them, they get raised to unnaturally high levels that the image looks very flat and kinda uncanny. Apple, please leave the shadows be, many people like them🙏🏻

Love the video Lee! I’m loved seeing how a photographer handles any camera and get great images. People get too caught up in the image quality aspect of photography when it’s just one of many aspects of a photograph. I would like you to mention how much your pro set up was at the beginning of the video to give some context. From what I found, the camera and lens combo is about $4400 MSRP. For another video idea, I would like to see you compare the $1000 iPhone to a $1000 camera setup and see what you get out of that camera.

Although the iPhone photos for the last few generations have already looked good, when viewing this on a phone the pics looked nearly identical

I’m new to this series, great work. Did you show us SOOC jpg from the A74 or are they RAW converted/edited? Thank you.

I might wait till the s25u comes out. Samsung has to do something big on it. I feel like s24u was just a small update over the s23u

Something amazing 🤩 With this sensor of the small light, I almost don't see the difference, the future of smartphones is hidden

Nice shots as always but portrait mode still applies those weird effects (noise reduction mostly) that makes the skin look waxy and the hair always looks strange too. You can see it at 1:27 and again at 6:49 (pause and go full screen on a monitor) when you look at her eyes, eyelashes, hair and skin texture. It's even worse when using the tele lens. Dont notice it on the iPhone but it's clear as day when you get the images up on a 4k-5k monitor and look at them. Ive just been shooting with the 2x in ProRaw and adding background blur with an app that does a way better job than portrait mode. You can also change the focus, change the look of the bokeh, change the look of the lens etc...looks a ton better. Im also not upgrading from my 15 PM until they finally upgrade the tele to a 48 megapixel sensor. Hopefully next year.

Luckily it doesnt matter coz people consume contents on their smartphones. If youre shooting for a professional job, i doubt you will use iphones for large prints or screens.
