  • This is part three of a three-part installation series of the Pierce 5T dump kit on a Chevy chassis. This video shows the complete installation of the Pierce dump kit. The whole process took two installers two days to complete.
This installation video can be used when installing a 7.5T or 10T kit. The main difference between each kit is the lift angle, overhang and length of the bed.
5 - 7.5T kits are compatible with 8' - 12' beds while 10T kits are compatible with 10'-16' beds. Read your manual for further instructions.
NOTE: DO NOT reverse the kit or lower it all the way down in the frame.

Sure looks good and wish I could install this on my F250 short bed but low on $$$$. I think an 8ft bed would be a better choice of bed as I could fit more material. Well awesome video.

Dang there's a lot more into building a dump bed than what I figured. I have a 1990 Dodge 1Ton with a 8' bed I want to put a dump bed on. 🤔 I don't know if it is possible?

Looks nice but didn't see any enclosure for the pump and motor from the elements. Also, didn't see any circuit breaker at the battery so if the main cable gets cut somehow, then there isn't a fire.

Like he said the pump can be mounted in at least 4 different locations on any number of different trucks, a cover would have to be a end user supplied part.

      @@luckyPiston Of course.
If you can have a pump mounted like that and have the knowledge to make it work with the plumbing, you can afford a sheetmetal cover maybe of steel or aluminum. It just helps protect it from the elements going down the road.

@@oby-1607 A 14 gauge aluminum checker plate box would probably look pretty slick.

If that L bracket was 1" longer u could weld 3 sides instead of just the one at the end.
