    Came here to watch video as it's helpful to my new auto jack lift I just bought. Thank you for the insight and help on how to bleed out the cylinder.

    Clear as a bell, thanks. I'm installing a new single action pump/ reservoir running a manifold for five different rams.

      Single Acting Systems vs Double acting Systems - Single acting systems are power up and gravity down. An advantage of this system is that the motor runs when lifting but the motor does not run when lowering. Because these units are 12V systems and run off a 12V battery, you use less of your battery supply with each dump with the motor not running when lowering. This system does require a larger reservoir because you must fill the system to it full capacity when lifting and all that fluid is returned to the reservoir when lowering. Most Single acting systems have only one one supply hose connected to the bottom of the cylinder. the top port of the cylinder will generally have a breather fitting in it to allow the air above the piston inside the cylinder to escape during lifting and air to return inside the cylinder when lowering. ------------- Double Acting systems are power up and power down, With this system you motor runs going up and going down which uses a little more battery supply with each dump cycle. The advantages of this system are that is uses a smaller reservoir because hydraulic fluid is pumped to the cylinder to extend it (lifting) and fluid is also pumped to the cylinder to retract it (lowering). In doing this the cylinder will always have fluid in it and it just transfers from one side to the other so the cylinder becomes like part of your reservoir. Double acting systems will always have two ports with two hydraulic hoses from the pump to the cylinder. One port on the pump , generally labeled port "A" will be your 3200 psi high pressure port and that hose will go to the bottom port on your cylinder (port opposite the rod side of cylinder). the second hose from port "B" will be you 1500 psi pressure port and will go the the port on the cylinder nearest the rod for lowering. Double acting systems give you the advantage of being able to force the dump bed back down when making partial load dumps or when spreading with your dump bed and half of your load is at the rear of the bed and too much weight on the rear your bed and it is up in the air and won't come down. Using a Double acting pump will allow you to lower the bed. Your choice of selecting a Single or Double acting should be based on your use and your peference. ----------------------------------Thank you for your interest in our products. what is the best hydrolic pump that can lift up to 8 tons

    • @primarymover8249

      The Hydraulic pump/ power unit, does not determine the lifting capacity, Our power unit supplies hydraulic fluid at 3200 psi for lifting and 1500 psi of pressure for lowering, to the cylinder. The cylinder diameter is what determines the lifting capacity. A 5 inch diameter cylinder receiving 3200 psi hydraulic pressure can lift much more than a 3 inch diameter cylinder receiving 3200 psi hydraulic pressure. Make sure your pump/power unit supplies at least between 3000-3200 psi of pressure so your cylinder can lift the weight it is designed to lift. Some low cost models being offered on the internet offer a lower pressure output and much less flow which will not allow your cylinder to lift to it's full capacity. Make sure you buy a reputable brand with 3000-3200 psi output and and average 2 gpm output. All of our brand pumps at Primary Mover will meet these higher output requirements. Visit our website at primarymover.com or call us at 985-888-6554 and we will be happy to assist you.

      When choosing your pump you must determine if you want a single acting system (Power up and gravity down) or a Double acting system (Power up and Power down). Next you need to determine what reservoir size you need for available hydraulic fluid to activate your system. Single acting pumps will require a larger reservoir size than a double acting. We can assist you in determining the size for your needs. Thank you for your interest in our products. We look forward to assisting you. Primary Mover

    Hey, I have a question .. my dump box moves up and down with out giving any rpm when it’s rpm . But when it’s loaded I have to give 1500 rpm or more to lift the box up ….while lifting up I can hear some kind of air noise … could you please tell me if it is weak hydraulic pump or something else .

    But u cannot continue to add fluid to half or more because once the cylinder is fully extended, all that fluid needs to go back into the tank when you bring it down.
    Only the hoses will still be filled.
    Your reservoir can’t hold it all and will spill out.
    Just look up what your cylinder volume is, and put 1-2 more quarts excess in your tank. Then do what he says to remove air.

      @donnieg668 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is only correct in a single acting application. The application he is showing is a double acting cylinder the fluid is actually transferred to the top side of the cylinder so you only have to account for the cylinder rod. Double acting setups are preferred if you want to run a smaller tank as the fluid mostly stays in the cylinder but just changes sides.

    What if the cylinder doesnt move up? Is there too much air in there n if so what's my nxt move. I think I ran the unit low oil in tank n she sucked in air....

      If you tried the methods explained in this video then you might have a different issue. You could be having a issue with your relief valve. What type of setup do you have?

      @@primarymover8249 I have a single. I believe it's the downward valve failure. The solenoid I can hear n feel clicking. If the valve is always in the open position it would make sense. But I bought the jungheinrich brand and dont know where to get parts

      If it’s a two way cylinder set up on a one way system what would you block the 2nd line plug in a hydraulic line cylinder a bolt or a vent?

    • @primarymover8249
      @primarymover8249  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You would use a vent on the top port of the cylinder. the filling is called a breather fitting. Doing this you would only need one line from your single acting pump to the bottom of the cylinder.
      Thanks for your interest in our products.
      Here is a link to the breather fitting on our website

      If you ran low on fluid and air was sucked into the system you will need to follow the proceedure of adding fluid and going thru bleeding steps.

      One of your valves in your pump could be stuck. It is probably the directional valve. Debris can sometimes get in the valve and it get stuck in one position. Give us a call and we can discuss it with you.
