    Best review I’ve seen on the 2swift.

      Thank you. Such a cool board, really is in a class of it's own.

    Definitely the best review I’ve seen on the 2Swift! I like the way you showcased the ride experience. Great angles showing the carving too. Would be cool to see this on some dirt trails

      Thank you! I'll definitely do some offroad coverage.

      I'd be interested to see if it can do dirt, im betting in chunder it oses stability as the weight and drive motor are behind a free coaster on a pivot you can see it warble on the rough road test, it recovers well from a single event but rapid events would be danger.. suit up in full dh crash gear before you're off road attempt, respectfully. As a former bike racer I can tell you that a steering damper is not intended to work without direct input of some type ( like grabbing the bars above the headstock ) though they will lessen deflection impacts.

    I love mine, you're right, the magic is in the front end geometry, VERY high quality product and the smoothness is awesome!

    What a model of snickers did you wear during the footage?

    It looks like the same motor & tubeless tires like my GP30 (electric braking + ABS). Not sure with this, board scooter?
    The front end basically looks like a GIANT caster.
    Very cool concept! I'm gonna look into this.
    If you still have this board with you set a GoPro up front. That would be some crazy footage!
    The 2Swirft seems to make sense.

      If you haven't, check out my unboxing. You get a better look up close at everything.
      Cool idea on the filming angle idea. I have a clamp that should attach perfectly.
      And yeah, the name works. They nailed that.

    I’ve been looking into electric skateboards for the ultimate fast-dog walker. I saw this and as a former motocrosser, mountain biker, skateboarder…this hands down looks like a way better idea for many reasons. Just moved to the top of my list, still researching but very cool!

    Are you still riding the 2Swift or has the novelty worn off? I have a couple mid-range electric skateboards and an EUC and I was going to pick up a nice AT electric skateboard but came across the 2Swift. My skateboards get a bit sketchy over 20mph and my EUC can go about 28mph before it starts beeping at me and I risk a cut-out. I like to carve on my skateboards and I like the smooth ride and ability to go anywhere on my EUC. My question is, would you get the 2Swift over something like a 2-n-1 Meepo Hurricane or similar?

    • @redwoodboarding
      @redwoodboarding  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends. If you want speed or range, go for the Hurricane. I still take the 2Swift out often and have hundreds of miles on it. My favorite part is having something that feels different. It definitely is unique, and turns heads.

      I had been interested in purchasing a 2swift for over a year and had watched lots of video reviews in hopes of finding out if this is something I would enjoy (including this great review). For background, I am nearing 50 years old and love snowboarding, wakeboarding, and just about all things PEV (e-bikes, e-scooters, e-skates,...). I am fortunate enough to have owned a Onewheel GT, Inmotion V12 EUC, and Exway Wave eskate.
      While all of those are tons of fun in their own right, the 2swift has instantly become my favorite. I was able to rent one at a local shop to see if I would enjoy it as much as others have described. After the rental, I decided to sell my Onewheel GT so I could purchase the 2swift.
      This isn't meant to begin a debate over which is better; the Onewheel and 2swift have different pros/cons. I've read some comparisons of the Onewheel as a ninja, and the 2swift as a surfboard. I don't know the best description; I do agree that the Onewheel is very agile, responsive, and tons of fun. That being said, I still prefer the sheer enjoyment I get riding the 2swift. Carving on the 2swift is the closest I've come to the feeling of carving on a snowboard.
      Carving on an eskate and on the Onewheel is a great feeling, but somehow (amazing application of physics in the design) the 2swift is smoother on the turns and feels incredible (more natural and effortless). I live on a wide street with very little traffic, so I can enjoy long lazy s-curves similar to a wide open ski run. I don't think this would be as enjoyable as a Onewheel on tight sidewalks or other terrain requiring tight turning. But for the streets I have access to, this is my preferred ride when looking to replicate the snowboard feel without a mountain nearby.
      At my age, it takes too long to recover from an injury, and I love that I can have a ball on the 2swift without having to go over 15 mph (it goes faster if speed is a priority to you). Hope this comment is helpful.

    I'm having a hard time kicking off to start my rides. The board doesn't give me enough time to gain balance. Should I tighten up the steering damper? At this point I need another person to lean on, or I've used a Cane to balance for take off. I keep trying to kick off to start my ride, but I'm spending more time picking myself up off the ground and as I'm 61 I'm getting pretty sore after each day of trying.

    This things looks like it needs constant control... ankles working over-time on longer rides... no suspension... I'm curious how comfortable it is for longer rides

    How does this compare to a Onewheel? Onewheel seems like it's be more nimble and intuitive

    • @redwoodboarding

      Onewheel is a ninja, 2Swift is a surfer. I think I'd like to have both lol.

      I have both. OW/XR and 2Swift. They’re both amazing in their own right. Got the 2Swift a few weeks ago & and haven’t touched my XR since. I’m sure that’ll change but right now I’m just enthralled with the ride on the 2Swift.

  • @MrDmadness
    @MrDmadness ปีที่แล้ว

    Intersting a stable base built under the pivot fulcrum is clever... but prone to induced wobble potentially ( you've had THAT shopping cart before.. the one where that single wheel dances erratically ) your weight in this case is not as high above the axle though so it would be largely negated. Good for pavement .

    • @BummersAbound
      @BummersAbound ปีที่แล้ว

      It has a steering damper so the front wheel doesn’t spin freely. My 2Swift has never done the wobbly shopping cart castor thing. It’s unbelievably smooth.

    This seems amazing! i'm surprised that the mobile wheel is in front. Where in snowboard you kinda turn using your back leg. Doesn't feel weird to turn with your front leg?
    Anyway, it seems amazing! Even more intuitive than a summerboard. The good balance between normal longboard and snowboard.
    Thanks for the great video!

    • @Nirvezz
      @Nirvezz ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree about the turn. When I surf I turn on my rear foot. When I pump for speed on my skateboard it is more on the rear foot

    • @redwoodboarding
      @redwoodboarding  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's a really odd sensation, this is the most "floaty" style of board I've ever been on. It's so responsive that it really doesn't do as well with foot control. Upper body positioning and balance really call the shots.

    I think this board could do with some deep concave. It screams 'I'm waiting for the right time to fling you off me'. ✈️
    It also looks like a scooter with a broken off handlebar stem.
