Been skating for a good part of my life. Got into longboarding pretty hard about 5 years ago. Got an E-board and I cant tell how much fun this is. I am now ready to do a serious upgrade since I need more spped and more distance. At 52 I have never had more fun than E-boarding.
47 here. I did not skateboard as a kid (other than playing around); I was more into roller skating, though I loved watching the skate videos. I tried my cousin's eboard a few years ago (an eGlide at the time, with the cord attached!) and, after a few rides and a few more F-bombs, I was hooked. I ordered a Backfire Zealot, have had a few spills, but more so I have had immense fun! Cloudwheels make a big difference, lol. I would love a board with pneumatics in the future, but my little Zealot is great! I'm lighter than the guys (I'm a girl) in my group, so depending on how fast (and hilly) we go, I can get a decent range on one charge. I love it so much.
Great to see an “older” crowd watching these reviews and riding. Got my first board (WowGo AT2) 2 years ago at age 53. Just sold it a couple days ago and about to order a new board.
I've been waiting ever sence this board was released to watch your video to see if it truly is a good board, I always watch your videos before I buy a board thanks for the good work keep it up!
The reason why most skateboards don't use a latching on/off button like that is because if the button fails (mechanically, or wire failure), your board can suddenly turn off while riding! That's why momentary buttons that require you to hold it for a few seconds to turn off are safer. Great review! :D
I've owned the Endeavor S for 6 months now. Before, I owned a Meepo V3 and an Exway Flex Riot, so switching to tube tires, an actual suspension setup was a very welcome change for me considering when I go home to visit family, downtown has a lot of brick roads and uneven paving that has now become a breeze. It's my favorite board by a *long* shot. It does have a few shortcomings, noticeably how occasionally there's a delay in response for acceleration, and it is very difficult to turn right for some reason (There are adjusters on them, but they haven't done a lot for me). But all in all, it's a massive improvement. Quite a bit to lug around, but considering I can effortlessly cut corners into grass patches, gravel patches, and even dirt roads full of roots and construction track ridges that would otherwise destroy my older boards in a few miles, this is an investment I hope that will last me thousands of miles. I am a little disappointed in the battery range, but the charger included already delivers a generous chunk of power to get me up and going again (Not fast charger on the Flex fast, but still very quick regardless). I would NOT recommend this board for a new rider personally, but for someone who has experience with electric skateboards or even just handling personal EV's in general, it's a very noteworthy choice

Realistically, going more than 30mph standing on a plank with wheels is really asking for it sooner or later. I've ridden for years, hit a sandy/gravel spot on a turn 2 weeks ago, slid out, hit hard, damn near cracked some ribs, road rash, helmet saved my noggin but it took more than a minute to get back up, that knocked the stuffing out of my ass! I know battery technology has come a long way, just wishing for a board I could ride and not worry so much about running out of juice ( 4-5 miles from my truck, carrying/ dragging this 34lb monster all the way back - ugh!!! 😕 ).
Great review. Propel Endeavor's new bushings solve the sharper turning problems. Pretty amazing, I put one of the white bushings on the front and a grey in the back (I weigh between 85-90kg), it can turn and carve really well. I may put another white bushing in the back and see how much more I can get out of it. I got the RangerX2 for one of your reviews from a few years back. Great review bro i keep coming to check out more. Offtopic i really dig you shoes at 8:50. What style or brand are they. I appreciate it.
Great review and awesome to see another video. I must admit that it looks like it was not an easy turning board. Looked like some effort was definitely put in to get it turning. The BajaBoard S2 Atrax turns really easily. Would be great to see the 2 of them together for comparison.
The boards look so awesome. Unfotunately "Propel" sounds and looks just like "Popel" which means bugger in german. I can`t overlook that, but damn it do I wish I could!
Just as a heads up this is the exact same comment I left on another electric skateboard video I watched earlier today. I'm not sporty at all, I'm a major homebody. But if I got an electric skateboard it'd be for the purpose of exercising a dog. I've thought about maybe getting a doberman later. So I'd need a way to exercise him/her throughly that doesn't require too much movement from my lazy butt lol. I know they are a big, high energy dog so training and exercise is key for breeds like that to keep them happy, healthy, and making them a good dog. I have a chihuahua currently that doesn't require a bunch of exercise and she's very small so I can get away with not needing to do much movement with her. A big dog with lots of energy though, nope. Can't get away with that without consequences. I'd find a few ways of exercising the dog that can be minimal for me but still get out their energy, this just being one of them. Thank you for this, I'll save this video in case I ever do get such a dog.
Looking forward to more tests of higher end all terrain boards like propel x4s, Bajaboard, Kaly and others! In the meantime, I saw you broke your ankle so have some rest!
Great video. Thank you for your insight which is helping me to make up my mind. Can you please do a similar video with the propel ruckus board? I’m on the fence between these two.
Great vid. I just finished my review of the power train of the S. Love the look of the board...grade of A for design. The power train of the S gets a C minus though. I want to explore putting a bigger battery pack in the S as I am only getting 12 miles per charge and the board bogs down in grassy areas. On your Pro, do you have the issue with the hex key not being able to fit properly in the turning force bolts? I believe the Pro and S has so much potential, but the S needs some serious boosted power. Looking forward to your next vid!!
Excellent review, thank you! Very entertaining, too! The only issue I have with this board is that absolutely everything ships from China, including all of the possible spare parts. That means not only insanely high shipping cost ($200 for the board) but also about a three months wait time to get the board itself (water way shipping and customs) and probably the parts, too - unless you can shell out $600 for air freight. They really need to get this onto a container to the US and other continents in quantity and stock some service parts there like Backfire is doing it and then use ground shipping. I assume Propel is likely still ramping up production and this might be a bit of a steep ask. But the shipping situation is off-putting for me personally.
Hey Timo. My name is Russ, I run the North American service center servicing the US and Canada. We are fully stocked with parts here in Florida and have more boards on their way to the US warehouse as we speak. You are correct in that we are new and still ramping the business but we recognize how important expedient service is in Esk8 and are doing our best to find solutions. You input is greatly appreciated.
@@propelvirtualgarage963 any idea on when the endeavor pro will be back in stock in us warehouse? I know this may be a difficult answer but any additional Info would be great.
Great to hear your opinions, I know you set up the turning radius adjustment, but not the suspension, how was the stability at top speed with that set up?
Really looking forward to you being able to review one of the Lacroix boards and the flux motion board. I trust your judgement and would love your opinion on these boards (certainly in comparison with this Endeavour board). Great video once again! Thanks
I think I’ve gotten used to DIY too much, had the opportunity to try one of these boards at a group ride recently and the acceleration and braking felt so weak on out of the box settings. Glad it’s vesc based for the adjustments but the battery’s output is quite low anyway.
Agree with the review (though I have the S) - turning radius is a pain, but otherwise its good. Coms with the company have been great and speedy. I'm sure the VESC is better but the S controller is good enough for me as a casual rider - I built my own eboard some 10 years ago before they were 'mainstream' and its better than the controllers I had then so... good enough for me haha. Might be adding some basic foot grips though, similar to those found on a freeboard.
I feel as though too many people buy AT boards that won't spend much time off road. I also want to feel as though I'm riding a skateboard. I really wanted this board, but when I went to checkout and saw they were going to charge me $200 shipping to wait a couple months, I ran fast and ordered myself a HunterBoard. It's great to have a "hands on" CEO who designed a product with attention to detail and will c9nnect with you to answer any questions/concerns. Sorry, Propel, HunterBoard checks all the boxes!
Hunter board... Do you live in Switzerland or something? Roads aren't that smooth particularly in metropolitan cities in America. People buy AT boards to survive potholes and rocks not for whatever you think we do with them.
@@danli9884 I live in Los Angeles. Does that help? If you do your research, you'll have less to say. Where do you people get these sorry attitudes from?
@@mikemenard4543 take it how you want. Let me see you place an order from any manufacturer and consult with the CEO. It's nice to have a personal touch with who you're buying from. I bought a great product
no like from me because you didn't even mention drive system maintenance, but it's still a pretty good review. will there be long term use review? those matter to me more than the rather first impressions, because most of the higher tier models are great out of the box. the wear and tear is what really matters for end user.
@@michaelgoddard9089 The maintenance on Endeavor is no different than any standard esk8. Tires, belts, bearings,...consumables. There is no maintenance required for the suspension or any of the other proprietary components.
Solid looking thing. Only negative that I'm like... uuuhh... is the reverse post full braking. In NYC that could lead me bumping tires with cyclists haha love your videos
You have to hold the brake back fully all the way for like 3 seconds for the smart reverse to kick in. If you just brake and let up again slightly it won’t engage.
What's a board you'd recommend for city use with pot holes here and there, good range, but still portable for nyc subway stairs. These all terrains near 40lbs just seem ridiculous. My lycaon swift w ghost wheels weight wise and pot hole wise have been pretty alright, but it's the range that could be improved upon. I was looking at hurricane or something similar for a hot minute.
The Endeavor pro requires about 150km break in period before the bushings soften up. From the video it looks like everything is still very tight. For reference i can do a u turn i n a one way street no problem
@@DanielKwan The metal piece doesnt limit the turn, just prevents an over turn. You can still do a full u turn on a 1 way street no problem. I have half hooks on mine so I can bring it in even tighter if needed but we are addressing the turning agility for 2022. Improvements coming.
How does it feel at high speeds? My Wowgo AT2 can get a bit wobbly past 20mph if the trucks aren't tightened. High speed stability (as well as the range) are the main reasons I'm looking to upgrade
Stability has been cited as one of Endeavor’s primary strengths. On the Facebook group many owners have achieved personal speed bests without wobbles. The wide stance and suspension make it very stable.
What if i wanted an electric skateboard just to go to work or having some fun sessions just by riding alone at midnight, but i don't wanna spend all this much, and i want some comfort from tires, what board should i pick ?
Great video again Kwan! Glad to see you 'back at work'. Amazing board, but this is really more off-road terrain (see what I did there :)). But amazing board! Hope the recovery is going well amigo. You'll have more footage to show? Or gonna let someone else ride while you edit?
Premium power! ...When you push manually like a non-electric board, does it lock up when out of battery? Could you push it comfortably with just a different wider leg stretch? Thanks a bunch! 🙏
Hey Daniel. I live in seattle and am looking for a great all terrain board that I can ride in the rain and won’t require taking it apart and drying components every time I get caught in the rain. Is there a board out there that you’d recommend? Does one exist?
Not really. Splashes from wet roads after the rain should be ok for most AT boards (but slippery). I’d avoid situations where water could seep into the battery or ESC compartments even if they seem well sealed.
@@DanielKwan Thanks for the reply! love your channel. I guess I'll just plan to use my scooter to commute in the rainy season and get a board for the summer :). Backfire ranger or some other hub alternative and silicon coat electronics and seal the enclosure. I tried it with my trampa (belt) it didn't work as well it is rain semi resistant but not long Island beach front flood property resistant. Hope I helped.

@@daveybob7272 I didn't build it I brought a kaly second hand and replaced the remote and vesc. I am guessing hurricane is as waterproof as my trampa. Of course if where you live there isn't any puddles, deep snow or floods ip67 is probably good enough. Hoped I helped.

Those machine is a monster! Man I wish i could afford to replace my broken ownboard. Really jeolous you could get this board in a whim, even get others free.. I wish i could ride again.. 🥺🥺
Loving this channel
Dangggg that premium power!
Great premium powerful review!
I should have bought the endeavor s instead of backfire hammer 😭🤬
3 times the range, less money
I love ur Videos man. Keep on going 😍
Get well soon Daniel!!!
cheers Daniel, happy new year best 2023
I got the RangerX2 for one of your reviews from a few years back. Great review bro i keep coming to check out more. Offtopic i really dig you shoes at 8:50. What style or brand are they. I appreciate it.
Nike Air Force 1 high top but with a zipper. I forget the exact name.
@@DanielKwan thanks found them as air nike jordan high zip
Great review and awesome to see another video. I must admit that it looks like it was not an easy turning board. Looked like some effort was definitely put in to get it turning. The BajaBoard S2 Atrax turns really easily. Would be great to see the 2 of them together for comparison.
The X4s is the board that would compare to the Atrax. This is a different class (AT vs offroad)
Premium Power I want one of these. One of the only expensive boards I would actually consider.
Review the Tynee off road!!
i love how the alt. travel tech is getting better
Daaamn that’s some premium power 💥
Great review as always.
Fantastic review and I agree as I have the Pro 2.
In the meantime, I saw you broke your ankle so have some rest!
finally!!! get well soon man
at 1:51 this is the same guy who was in the Exway Flex ad. You Daniel Kwan was in the exway flex ad????
I think I was in a couple exway videos. Other brands too.
Great video. Thank you for your insight which is helping me to make up my mind. Can you please do a similar video with the propel ruckus board? I’m on the fence between these two.
For off-road use, Endeavor would be better for sure. For street use, I’d rank the Ruckus lower than the Propel Pivot for just about anybody.
@@DanielKwan wow. I thought the ruckus was supposed to be straight fire and it can climb a 45 angle…….
That board has some premium power!
Good things coming ;)
12 miles per charge on the S? Something is very wrong with your board. You should be getting double that easily.
Man this thing look gooood!! Also, how fares the leg?
Slowly recovering
I know this may be a difficult answer but any additional
Info would be great.
Great to hear your opinions, I know you set up the turning radius adjustment, but not the suspension, how was the stability at top speed with that set up?
Can't wait to get mine! Even some of the cons are pros to me.
To answer the question if you can carry skateboard on bus or train we are allowed to do that in Australia Perth
Does no one else see the animal under the tire in the thumbnail
I wish you lived near the bush/woods. Would love to see you review the Tranzite Cross country 😩😩
Might be adding some basic foot grips though, similar to those found on a freeboard.
its cool, for off roading... .but i enjoy off roading with my PU 90s and some caliber 2s on a cruiser deck
@@mikemenard4543 did you buy the Propel? Do you know that I found out about the Hunter board because a commentor mentioned it on this channel?
@@in-vision652 You can easily contact our CEO, hes active on FB and always available to our customers.
I agree it's a car... a class of its own and so deserved.
Premium Power from D.Kwan!!
no like from me because you didn't even mention drive system maintenance, but it's still a pretty good review. will there be long term use review? those matter to me more than the rather first impressions, because most of the higher tier models are great out of the box. the wear and tear is what really matters for end user.
How is he supposed to know about wear and tear on something he hasn't had for very long. He did go into the tools needed for maintenance at least.
There’s a metal piece that limits how much you can lean. Did you take that off?
@@DanielKwan The metal piece doesnt limit the turn, just prevents an over turn. You can still do a full u turn on a 1 way street no problem. I have half hooks on mine so I can bring it in even tighter if needed but we are addressing the turning agility for 2022. Improvements coming.
Its looking great DIY platform, i hope they will sell only deck with susspension truck.
6:00...... PREMIUM POWER !!!!!!
The board I'd get if it wasn't so illegal to ride in victoria, Australia. At least the current crop of AT board sizes fly a bit under the radar.
Ha, ghey 🤢
Seen a few in Vic on group rides. Ride responsibly. Cops tend to ignore.
Move to Queensland
definitely want the bored also power station
Do you do all sorts or just long bord's or do you do what's only out hover drones and E- bike's and whatever is only out.I hope so 🙏🍀✌️
Reminds me of “Johnny kapahala back on board”. If you know you know lol
Max will do the riding going forward. I’ll continue to edit and do the talking.
@@DanielKwan that's almost the same 🤣👌🙌. Give him a full face and be the director and will be a 100% Kwan production 😎🤣👌
Can’t wait for my premium power to get here! Less than a month!
Motor Making Liked !😀😀🙏
Could u do a review on the Ecomobl et2
what shoe is it @ 5:33
I think this thing is good offroad and stable at speed, but not as agile as other electric boards.
Is there any way to lock this to a bike rack or similar if required for short periods ?
can you review the miles phantom?
it's an awesome ride, I love it! I hope he reviews it :)
They now have the Endeavor 2 on their website, but it seems to be difficult to find the upgrades/differences anywhere; thoughts on this?
Any idea how it does on sand, like beach sand?
That thumb nail tho 😄 🤣 😂 😆 .... why does it look like you ran over a bunny 🐰 lmao....
Thank you
Premium power! ...When you push manually like a non-electric board, does it lock up when out of battery? Could you push it comfortably with just a different wider leg stretch? Thanks a bunch! 🙏
It won’t lock up but this and any other board with pneumatic tires would be difficult to push. You’d get tired quickly.
@@DanielKwan Thank you! Thats great to know 🙂 How about using its street tires?
in the video thumbnail it looks like someone is running over some grayish rodent 😂
Make a review about Eovan Gts super
do you plan on reviewing the acedeck ares x1?
Would you rather buy exway atlas carbon 4wd or endeavor pro or even ebdeavor 2
exactly my question: atlas vs endeavor2 s
How easy is it to repair, and how long do the components (especially the battery) last?
It's really just for getting to and from work after riding the train for my commute. (about 2 miles) The scooter zips along pretty good but skateboards just feel better..
Charging $415 for postage to the UK it better be good !
Does the Pro/S have a ip rating?any suggestions for AT boards that handle rain?
Can u install a skateboard wheels with that?
Bro the poor squirrel in the thumbnail lmao
so i see u use wowgo mini2 at the start of the video, wowgo mini 2 vedio next?
Why has nobody noticed the crushed lizard in the thumbnail
If you lift the weight won't be issue lol, I ride trampa with monster box and it over 20kg, you got me thinking of getting one of these bad boys 😍🥰🔥
but this board is too heavy to carry for girls though
Not all girls I know girls that actually can lift more than me 😅 but yah you are right the majority of girl will find it hard to carry
Would it be possible to install bindings onto it, to make it more like a mountain board?
Check Propel’s Facebook group. I think people have put on those half-bindings.
That was the face when my relative come to home
If, "Lathe Machine" !🙏
Hey Is Their Any All Terrain Boards That I Would Be Able To Ride In The Rain? I Currently Have A Zeallot. Looking For An Upgrade But In California It Rains A Short Period Of Time In The Winter.
Backfire ranger or some other hub alternative and silicon coat electronics and seal the enclosure. I tried it with my trampa (belt) it didn't work as well it is rain semi resistant but not long Island beach front flood property resistant. Hope I helped.
In short if you want to play it safe go ranger however if you want to live life dangerously go for trampa or even meepo hurricane. (Do not pick propel the rust is going to kill the board even if you oil it and coat it on a bi monthly basis)
@@danli9884 I Looked Up The Hurricane And That Looks Promising. Especially That Ip67 Rating 35MPH. The Trampa Is A DIY Board Correct? I've Nevered Had One Or Ever Thought About One.
@@daveybob7272 I didn't build it I brought a kaly second hand and replaced the remote and vesc. I am guessing hurricane is as waterproof as my trampa. Just keep it in mind that ip67 is waterproof to the a degree but isn't fully idiot proof. edit: left motor on my 6374 got wet and stopped working after a while. Of course if where you live there isn't any puddles, deep snow or floods ip67 is probably good enough. Hoped I helped.
@@danli9884 How so? We actually use higher quality hardware than most. What has rusted on a Propel? This is new to me.
I also ride all my offroad boards on the beach, regardless of brand. Its how you take care of it before and after that makes a difference. I live on SIesta Key in FLorida and probably ride the beach as much as I do the woods.
No rust on ANY of my boards, Propel or otherwise.
