Well you’re on the high seas, salt makes sense no? Though I kind of liked the set piece for the ship, I just wish it was kind of done slightly differently, maybe like a spooky ghost ship.
I actually loved this part of the game. When the ship capsizes, my mouth dropped. It’s one of the most bonkers and fun scenes. Also, a fun fact is that the developers actually built a dynamic ocean for this level to make their lives harder. At the time this game was a technical marvel in how much was put into its engine and set pieces. It was also one of the few games at the time to be developed for stereoscopic 3-D, so a lot of the sequences were designed for 3-D effects. A lot of the particle effects (dust, water, and so on) we’re really crazy.
1:07:24 The relief on your face when you finally got past it. 🤣 And I gave the video a Like a long time ago, but you for sure earned it this time. Well done. 👏👏🥳
Imagine playing this on Brutal difficulty because I'm such a trophy nut, my lord, I must of struggled for 2 hours and cursing for half of it, lol, you did great
Well done for persevering with the game nat 🙌 you can definitely see a dividing line in quality in levels with this one , & please no need to apologize for anything you're doing a wonderful job as always 🌻🐝🌻🐝💖
Nat it is totally understandable why you feeling that way about the game. while you may be right about the game getting more difficult, the fact of the matter is most of the way you are meant to navigate those difficulties eludes you. so you experience the difficulty more than a seasoned gamer. ill give you a few examples. In this episode the game is much easier especially at the airport seen if you take advantage of stealth kill and stealth accuracy, that is the reason why they gave you the silent pistol in the first place. even for a seasoned gamer like me if I went loud and dum it will be harder. than when you come under multiple attacks you run out of patience and panic, which affect your aim and accuracy, something you need in those situation.futhermore don't take a fist to a gun fight you do it a lot, that make it easier to die. if the game was easy it would be boring and even on difficulty, I don't find it to be hard.the game is much rewarding because it challenge you to make good decisions under pressure. I'm not saying its perfect, no game is. i appreciate the fact that even with all the frustration you keep trying to stay positive. rather than blame the game, try to work on the things that you can improve, I promise you with those improvements and a more positive attitude, not only will it become easier you'll even start to appreciate those difficult combat scene more.simple tips, the sniper guys on higher ground pose more threat than the guys pushing because their shot is one kill. second tip the guys with heavy armour need to be isolated and taking care of first because they require extra ammo and the best way is to hit them with quick outburst of head shot to eliminate them. third the enemies will always try to flank you by goinging behind you so keep your back to walls, in that way, they will only sporn infront of you. the last tip is even if you initiate a fight and out of a sudden you find yourself at a disadvantage, disenguage, reposition so you can regain the upper hand.Good luck out there soldier 😊. looking forward to the next one. I'm sorry this was tough for you.
I always found the section of the game you just played to be the most frustrating and unfair section of the whole series if that helps any. Looking forward to the next episode, but more than that I am really looking forward to you getting to Uncharted 4, that is my favourite and in my top 5 games of all time. Looking forward to seeing what you think of it. Keep going Nat, its still entertaining for us viewers even if it is painful for you lol
Seeing everyone in agreement that this segment it’s utter bs makes me feel so much better. What a weird portion of the series! But yes, next episode… OMG 😱🐎
also the voice actor Nolan North and other voice actors from the game played the entire franchise like how your doing now, mostly Nolan North drakes voice actor, they talk about the making of the game, designs, mechanics of what went down behind the scenes and so forth as they play the game, i also became your new subscriber keep doing you love these videos.
Yay you are passed the ridiculous section. The next part is one of, if not my favorite parts of the game. Just because of how cool and different it is. Sometimes it feels like 2 teams made this game, the team that made all the stupid stuff, and the team that made all the really cool things
Your lack of weapons knowledge, even in a range, is your problem. Also, when you throw a grenade in game, it shows you where it lands initially, but gravity and physics apply. Grenades can and do bounce from higher locations to lower locations, and will bounce away in the direction shown. If an enemy is walking toward you, you need to throw short. An assault rifle has many bullets, but they do more damage when you use multiple rounds on a single person at a relatively short distance, but not immediately in front of you. Most hand guns - if the person is close, take the time to aim at their head, or in game their legs - if they can't walk they can't shoot as much. Shotguns are specific - they are for people standing within 2-5 meters. Beyond that most shotguns may not be appropriate (some are, but not all). When fighting in a circle, there are a few options. Run the perimeter if cover exists, once cover runs out run the other direction. Take out enemies along the way. Keep moving. Keep your exposure limited. Another option is to find a defensible location with no way for enemies to get behind you, And shoot all enemies in front. You'll need to guard against well armed enemies, and a shotgun and grenades are useful if your handgun isn't handling the job. Again, try to keep moving, BUT remember that enemies are trained to close the circle on you. Some military call it "taking out the trash". Close Quarters Combat (CQC) is best done in stealth (hard to impossible in this game), since once everybody is shooting at you the game timer is ticking until you're dead. In real life, you'd likely use a combat knife and not try to beat someone with just your fists because of the time it takes. All-in-all, I suffered through this game's mechanics to get to the fourth game. This game seems to favor waves of enemies, like you've kicked over a Fire Ant hill or disturbed a wasp's nest. It's not so much unfair as unrealistic - in real life, paying these mercenaries isn't cheap and the sheer quantity portrayed here would cost an enormous amount of money to have on hand. Nathan is saving them tons of money by killing them. Every time you clear a wave, just pat yourself on the back and think, "saved tens of millions of dollars!" Game four focuses a LOT on the story, and while there are fights, they are more realistic as these games go. Lost Legacy has puzzles that I think you'll like. You're doing well, frustrating though it may be. Keep up the good work!
I feel like Rameses' part got cut down a little bit. I liked the scenes he was in, and it just feels like he was meant to be a bigger part of this game.
I don't blame you for putting the game on easy were here for a good time not a get incredibly stressed to the point of maybe cursing up a storm or smashing your controller time 😂 , also it's hilarious that Ramses Kamikazed himself just to maybe take out Nate like why dude you won't be alive to see if Nate died Lmao
Im sorry you're experience is a tad unpleasant with uncharted 3. Was my favourite of the three games knowing most people loved part 2. As for the newer uncharted games( 4 and lost legacy), we wont speak about them now. 🤯🤯
So FYI the game you're playing is a remastered version of the original ps3 version which was developed by another studio and Naughty Dog wasn't involved. Thats why Uncharted 2 and 3 seem glitched and buggy. So before you keep on bashing this games gameplay and combat just know that the original Uncharted 1 2 3 were polished very well. So don't blame the game itself because this game was revolutionary and mint when it came out. So try not to look at it as it being a bad game that has bugs and glitches cause that's not how it was when it came out for the ps3. Uncharted 3 is my favorite out of all them. So I admit I did get salty myself when you were bashing on it.
Bad gameplay and bugs are 2 different things. The game in this game in my opinion is consistently the worst of all 3 games. All the games have had random funny bugs and glitches. I’m sorry I don’t enjoy your favourite game, but respect my opinion when I say the game play is bad and I’ve not enjoyed about 40% of the game 🤷🏻♀️
You know honestly when this game first premiered , people were not to happy as you witnessed what’s wrong with this game specifically , of course story wise is pretty good , but specifically speaking , I felt that they rushed 3 out of all of them, again I am a huge fan of the uncharted series, love all games , but 3 was not the way to go
It really sticks out in the game - this late mid game is like they just ran out of time or desire to work hard to make it good. Shame, because there’s some really really good story pieces, music, and for me personally this has the best opener so far!
@@PhoenixNat It was mainly a lack of resources and time. TLOU was eating up most of Naughty Dog's budget since it was a new IP, so the U3 team had to make due with what they were given, even if the game needed more time in the oven. They also had to rewrite the story after the actor for Cutter left in the middle of production to do the The Hobbit movies since he originally was a bigger part of the story. Shortly after U3's release, Amy Hennig, who was the main writer and Creative Director of the first 3 Uncharted games, started working on U4 with her U3 team (while the other team was still working on TLOU), but after a bunch of months of work she was let go from Naughty Dog because of "creative differences" with the studio heads regarding the franchise's future direction. After she left and the development of TLOU finished, the people behind that game took over U4's development and gave us the game we have today, which is why U4 has a more mature tone than the previous 3.
I prefer 1 over 3 right now and 3 even has some of my favourite little story pieces and music! But that middle sucks the life out of it and ruins the overall play. Whereas 1 was just all round okay
I'd have more issues with this game if it didn't also have some of the best setpieces in all the games. Also the scope of it is phenomenal too. If it were polished a bit more I think people would rate it higher.
Last salty episode, I promise 😁🧂
Well you’re on the high seas, salt makes sense no? Though I kind of liked the set piece for the ship, I just wish it was kind of done slightly differently, maybe like a spooky ghost ship.
4 makes up for all of 3’s shortcomings

😂 thanks - I’ve earned the likes this week
"Maybe I'm extra salty because we're on a boat."
You are in the ocean so it would be *salt* water.
I disagree about the cruise ship level though, that is GENIUS level design.
Thank you! This is one of my favorite levels ever!!! I replay at least once a year. The ship capsizing was so crazy and epic!!!
Imagine playing this on Brutal difficulty because I'm such a trophy nut, my lord, I must of struggled for 2 hours and cursing for half of it, lol, you did great
The stealth in this game is like being an rhinoceros on roller skates 😂

OK, I don't drive, but the first thing I thought of was the brake lever. It is on an incline. Who parks on a significant incline without the brake?

Yes! One team made the beginning and end, and the other team was on the middle
1:08 That'd be an ironic death. Killed by a *life* boat.
I played this on brutal, but I took care, and tried not to run directly into troubles 😂
I never seen that glitch where the reticle disappeared like that. You did pretty well considering.

Happy Saturday Phoenix from here in Michigan
22:40 Not RPGs. Full missiles. That'd be too much overkill and blow the ship pretty much in half.
Not that it mattered because it sinks anyway.
I feel like Rameses' part got cut down a little bit. I liked the scenes he was in, and it just feels like he was meant to be a bigger part of this game.
Again maybe a problem with the middle part? They could have brought him in earlier for sure

Yeah, don't worry about changing the difficulty. I'd rather watch you have a fun time playing the game than rage and not want to play the game at all.
Is it wise to start on Normal again for 4?

I totally get ya on Uncharted 3. To many it’s considered the most difficult/stressful to play. Some real BS moments for sure.
It’s a comfort that everyone’s said the same because I was blaming my play style, which seemed to be okay up to here
There’s a debate whether 2 or 4 is the best Uncharted. I’ve got my favorite. I think most agree however that 3 is the worst. 🧂 🧂 🧂
