- This is my first time playing Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. I've just recently completed Uncharted 1, 2 and 3, and I have to know how the story of Nate's crazy life concludes! I'm playing the PS5 and truly impressed with the gameplay and mechanics and all the advances made between 3 and 4. Stick around and join this last part of the 4 game series with me!

NATE’S HAD BOTOX AND I DIDN’T GET MOTION SICKNESS 🥳🤩
I’m just here laughing at that abrupt cut right after the first line, something tells me you had a minor moment of internal thinking of “yes finally here, you can all now be quiet about it!” with that line.
I mean, if you're talking about present day Nate, not really, lol.
He clearly looks older and even has some grey hairs now. He looks weird to you because unlike the previous games, he looks like a real human now, lol.
Nate was 31 in U1, 33 in U2, 35 in U3 and now he's 38 in U4.
In the U4 orphanage flashback Nate was around 11/12 years old.
When Nate met Sully in the Colombia flashback from U3 he was 15.
During the Panama flashback sequence from U4 Nate was 23, hence his baby face.
lol he was much younger in Panama.
@@tskwerl Nope, if he's 38 in U4 and the Panama stuff happened 15 years earlier, simple math tells you that Nate was 23 back then, lol.
It’s a silly game folks. Let’s not forget that
"Welcome Panama."
Remember in the beginning of the first game when Nate and Elena were attacked by pirates, and Nate let Elena know then that they didn't have a permit to be out there searching for Francis Drake's grave? He told her that they should take care of it themselves, otherwise Elena was going to find out what it was like inside a Panamanian jail. This is how Nate knows what it is like to be inside a Panamanian jail.
Such an amazing start!
Remember at the beginning in the first game, when Nate said to Elena that they either had to fight the pirates or end up in an Panamanian prison? Well, now you know what it's like in such a prison. It's so cool that they connected those two!
The callbacks they make are pretty smart!
Man the banter between the charachters in this game is top notch, deep, funny and realistic
The door you were so worried about missing in the orphanage would just have turned out to be locked
Nate looks young because the Panama part takes place years before Uncharted 1 :) Hes in his early 20's.
23 years old
if you noticed, the t-shirt Sam wears in the flashback is the same t-shirt that teenage Nate wears during his flashback in Uncharted 3
I did not, that’s a nice touch!
Hi Nat, I'm a long time sub but also a long time lurker. Sadly life got in the way around the time you released this one. I'm here now to enjoy one of my favorite games of all time, you playing it makes it so much better. Looking forward to this one ❤🤙
It's insane we're already at Uncharted 4 like it feels like we started the Uncharted franchise not too long ago 🤯🔥🔥
They’re nice compact games, not too drawn out which I like too, I’ll be curious how this one feels knowing it’s the longest of them all
You didn’t miss anything other than Nate realising the door was locked.
Thank you ☺️
The voice of Jameson is played by Brandon Scott. He was the voice actor for Henry in The Last of Us. 🍄
Another top teir episode (1st episode) Nat. The look on your face when you found out Nate has a brother was worth the like on the episode alone. For me this instalment in the franchise is superior in everyway to the games that came before it, I really hope you enjoy it and end up loving it as much as the rest of us. Really excited for the next episode Nat, and the gun play was killer (pun intended)
😁 it’s a very exciting start to the series, the story elements are very involved and a lot of fun - and just the fact I haven’t got motion sick means I’m already enjoying it more 😂
55:55 might need to increase brightness, awesome vid tho cant wait for you to get into this story
My favorite Uncharted game for sure!
Story is 🔥
Music is 🔥
Graphics are 🔥
Nate's Theme is iconic, but the main theme to this one is just so good!
Mine is Uncharted 2 then uncharted 4 💯
The nun (and Evelyn) is played by Merle Dandridge, who also played Marlene in The Last of Us part 1 and the HBO adaptation.
Ohhhh, honestly it’s like a little family how much they all cross over with projects
She also played Alyx Vance in Half Life 2
The Voice actors for Sam and Nate has been in another Naughtydog game together.
Okay now we're talking, good thing your playing the fourth installment, one thing to note the NPCs are ridiculously smart sometimes, other than that strap yourself in for a banger of a game 😊
Happy Spring🌷
Your voice! All I hear is “enemy on objective Bravo”…..my battlefield 1 players know what’s up. Love it!
Cant wait to join you for the fourth time ❤️❤❤ omg your multiple attempts to save sam just proves what a loving and caring person you really are Nat 😍
Brilliant episode Nat. Youre so fun to watch
Thank you Crumpet ☺️
"It's not stealing if it was ours to begin with."
You could also call it S.T.E.A.L.-ing
Strategic
Transfer of
Equipment to an
Alternate
Location.
this one's a great game, it's one of those relaxing ones, also u didn't miss anything with that door Nate was just gonna say 'This Doors Locked Their Gotta Be Another Way" so don't worry.
Now, as a fan, imagine having to wait a year or more for the next game... the anticipation was real!!!
The beginning of the game takes place in Boston, Massachusetts.
Ohhhhh, we’re on ND familiar territory
Happy Tuesday Phoenix
1:42 Hi Troy Baker in the background. Nolan North and Troy Baker working together again. Joel and Dave from TLOU, Magni and Modi from God of War. And they may end up together in another franchise or two.
The dynamic vocal duo! Magni and Modi were great fun
When I bought my PS4 back in 2018, this was the first game I got for it. In hindsight, that probably wasn’t the best idea because it set the bar so unattainably high for how I judge other games, and ND being probably the best game developer right now, it’s rare that another game can capture the same magic that a ND game can.
They sure do know how to craft a story and make it look 🔥
Nate's looks being different. I'm finding that as games get more and more detailed and realistic that I'm experiencing more of the "uncanny valley" affect with characters' faces. The more detailed they get the more weirded out by it I am, because they're still not quite perfect, so they actually look and feel more unnatural than they did when the graphics weren't as good.
I'm not sure if that makes any sense, but that's the best I can explain what you might be experiencing too.
I was just amazed that Nate and crows feet under his eyes and facial movements seem so lifelike. Naughty Dog are toop tier with graphics and animations for sure
Yeh I can resonate with this, it being almost right but the brain saying, it’s not quite right. And it’s a leap from why I’ve just played for 3 games in a row
@@Hunterese123 Yes when we see him at the start he is in his forties, and in Panama he's in his twenties, hence why he looks as if he's had botox! :P
Uncharted 4 is a masterpiece as far as I’m concerned & while I also think uncharted 2 is a masterpiece I think uncharted 4 tops it in a number of areas, I think you’re gonna love this one, have fun 🤩
PN's favorite weapon - Ping Pong ball gun.
It’s OP man 😤
Ooh awesome 😎💥
Who is Sam??
Ooh Nathan's brother 🙀🙀🙀
Let's adventure 🎉🎉🎉
Your enthusiasm is infectious. Somebody get this girl a ping pong ball pistol dammit!!
🤣🤣🔫
The difference in his face is based on the fact that this is what the voice actor looks like in MOCAP. The same will exist for Elena. Less so for Sully, since his voice actor was balding by then.
Makes sense why the leap is so great. Must have been wild seeing that for the first time back I the day!
@@PhoenixNat It was interesting to see on Nate, Elena, and in Lost Legacy, Chloe. The oddest thing is one voice you haven't seen yet - since the character is portrayed as black but is actually white. The VA for Elena is Emily Rose. She is in a sci-fi series called Haven with normal actors/actresses. Comically perhaps, William Shatner plays her father. Nate has always been VA'd by Nolan North, and he didn't look quite like he looks in the first three games. The effort it took to render his character since he was the main player was considerable. MOCAP used in U4 and LL bring the faces to life. I don't know if you've ever seen the zoom out capture - the person basically sits on a stool and numerous cameras (maybe thousands) take photographs from all sides at the same time. Then in action sequences, MOCAP uses green or blue reference markers on the face and body to track as the actor actually move (MOtion CAPture). The motion conveyed in U4 and LL are easier because they are natural and because the processing was handled by superior CPU cores. The PS3 pushed boundaries but was very difficult to program its nine cores. It was VERY different and so was the architecture. Programs on the PS3 were difficult to write. Naughty Dog did their very best, but there were noticeable programming trade-offs. The PS3 was perhaps the most powerful computer of its time for certain tasks (in fact it was banned from certain countries because of its ability to break ciphers). It was a parallel processing computer with nine Power PC processors made by IBM - like those used in the Apple G4, but more powerful for graphics/math. The PS4 had a separate GPU for graphics and CPU for processing. Both processors were much more powerful and better suited for the jobs they did.
I've got it the Drake's WWE tag team name. "The Hangmen." Because they're always hanging off of ledges.
They sure do love their ropes too 😂
@@PhoenixNat It's the only thing I could think of that had something to do with their characters and still be intimidating.
I'm trying to focus on the episode but now I can't because I'm trying to think of a good WWE tag team name for Nate and Sam Drake. There was a tag team called "The Brothers of Destruction" at one point, so maybe for the Drake's it would be "The Brothers of Discovery."
That's not that good. I'll try to think of something better and I'll let you know.
Good play from you, good luck and success
Thank you ☺️
"I have a brother?!"
Yeah, it's almost like the developers never planned on Nate having a brother until they needed someone to get the plot going.
😉
i mean it’s not like it doesn’t fit in the plot well, so i’ve never really cared that much
👀
You should call the "boys" wrestling move The Drake Drop.
🤣🤣 okay, that’s the best so far on the signature move
Botox Nate is best looking Nate 😂 Also TOY GUN!! 😂
Toy gun, best weapon in the entire series 😤
WWE name: The Cathaholic Bros. Signature move: double whammy slammy.
What about the Holy Bros? 🤔
cool journey Nat😁🙏
Isn’t Naughty Dog just the best? I’ve been loving your play throughs of TLoU and Uncharted series. Please don’t stop making content, you’re just wonderful.
Don’t plan to stop 💪🏼
I'm disappointed that you believed that you could go back a help Sam.
I'm not a big fan of the fact that they took away "Hit Triangle to counter" during hand-to-hand combat ability.
Hoy, as a Scot I find your impression as hammy as the cockney geezers in the previous games! :P
Hammy is bad, right? 😆
L1 and R1 to aim and shoot? I havent seen that since ps3
Yay Uncharted 4
Uncharted 4 is the best one in my opinion
True thoughts on Uncharted 3?
