I'm not done watching the whole series yet but I wanted to thank you so much for this playthrough. I have a similar play style to yours, in that I check, read, and take note of everything, and give things time to sink in. So many players have made disclaimers at the beginning of their series, saying that they're going to be "thorough and take their time", but then ended up doing the exact opposite. 😄Yours has been the only playthrough of this game that I've seen where I haven't felt the urge to scream at my screen to take your time with it. You've got a new fan and a sub! 💙

I'd you go to Settings and GAMEPLAY there's an option to SHOW CHALLENGE NOTIFICATIONS I would set that to off 😊 those are the pop ups you get on the bottom right here and there

Somebody maybe covered it but.....The pink round's fired are 'Heat-seeking rounds, so if your attacking the small guys you can use a rock / bush to absorb the rounds. If your using the plasma pistol the charged shot will also Heat-seek a smidge 😉 P.s. IF you need to reload and too far for close quarters throw a grenade, the enemy will dive for cover buying you an extra second to get to cover... lol you got very lucky with the big rocket guys..... was gonna say though, get in close and aim for the brown / orange parts 😁 p.p.s. The blue grenade are 95% sticky, where as the human 'Frag' grenade bounce when you get used to it you can switch between the two situationally😉 The Pink 'Needler' Pistol is an awesome covenant weapon, best at range, heat seeking rounds that can be dumped into a target......Also the more rounds in the 'Target' the bigger the explosion😁 The 'Shield' colour merely shows power level, 1 fully charged plasma pistol shot will destroy it instantly... {The charge will also destoy a targets invisibility if it hits..}

22:00 "Why's he being dramatic?....." Promtly mow's her own guy in half with the machine gun....🤣 That machine gun is the best weapon in the game and get's 'Nerfed' heavily in the 2nd game.... Just need to get used to firing single shot's and burst fire with it. 😁 'Q' Is also VITAL get used to charging in, enpty or over heat the weapon give the last one a smack andd step into cover.... p.s. you should always be carrying two weapons and two types of granade.... p.p.s. Dont be scared to use the 'Warthog' as a weapon.....It cannot be harmed....Only stuck or flipped I'm a keyboard player myself...But this is the ONE game i'd recommend controller for.....It was purpose built to use the full range of the original x-box controller and show what the console could do on release. Really hope you go through the whole Franchise including the shows....They get some hate, But i dont think they did too bad a job 😉 Then you can go through the 'Non-Franchise' 'Red Vs Blue' if you can find it. 😁 Treat each season like a movie.....1st season audio not great, but 4-5 & 6 have some great Sci-fi story to them 👍

I wish the remastered graphics were never a thing. People's first time playing Halo should be how it looked in the beginning.

When given power weapons like sniper, rockets, etc save them for difficult enemies. Use your pistol, rifle for grunts and jackals. You can’t destroy the large alien aircraft, only the banshees.

I never tire of watching new people play through the Halo Series for the first time. I get to relive the novelty of Halo vicariously through you and I love the process of people finding their feet and learning to love the Universe that has captured so many for so long and grown an immeasurably diverse and awesome community around it.

It's always funny watching people play these games cause you'll say something like, "Bruce is hench" and in my head I'm like, well thanks 🤣 I love the feel of this one the most out of the Arkham games somehow but I can never put my finger on exactly why. I also love how you went through all of the profiles of the various characters, I always read them when they came up too! Always wondered who was meant to have written the profiles though as both Alfred and Bruce are written about in the third person though I guess that's just a game thing really. Great first episode shall look forward to watching the rest! Edit: Also you're right I never realised how unnecessarily large all the doors are 😂

mouse vs controller, id recommend controller but that's really preference, absolutely stick to original graphics for CE though, items might be prettier in the remaster but the whole mood of the game is ruined because the team behind the remaster wanted to show off what they could do instead of maintaining the feel

I couldn't sleep, I got up early this morning and it is really foggy this morning. Sounds like the perfect atmosphere to watch some Silent Hill 2.

I notice first time players can have trouble with taking in information from the HUD, such has when you didn’t notice picking up the active camo. I think it’s because the MCC uses the 2011 Halo Anniversary HUD by default which has smaller text with a darker blue, which has less contrast usually. I never liked it. Luckily you can switch it back to the classic HUD in the graphics settings somewhere, which really helped my experience. You can also make the text extra big for MORE HUD

Many covenant weapons have certain alternative uses, like the plasma pistol can be "charged", it's sort of a halo community tradition to let you figure out the benefits of that on your own, but its really nice paired with the halo CE "God pistol". Also, the needler (purple spike weapon) is basically an aim bot, those spikes will glide follow your target around a bit if they move, and when you go full auto, the pink spikes will cause an explosion if enough hit your target. Very useful for certain situations when you don't have grenades

I would look at the colors of the enemies your facing, their colors tell you what rank they are, a red elite is much tougher than a blue elite as its a major while blues are minors. Don't sleep on the needler either, try firing a lot of needles into an elite or grunt and watch the fireworks ;) hopefully you have fun with the rest of the game

1:02:36 that is an energy sword 😅 not usable in combat evolved, but let's just say you'll get very acquainted with it in Halo 2. Properly used its basically a 1 hit 1 kill weapon for most enemies

My only tip is when in doubt, look around a bit, there might be health packs and ammo on the ground at certain places! It's so crazy for old fans to watch new fans, because old fans basically have the locations of things memorized! I myself have been playing these games for close to 20 years or more

Excellent. Tip: you are playing against Covenant - you very quickly noticed in the 1st level that their own plasma weapons are excellent against them. But in the 2nd mission you discovered that the assault rifle is hopeless - it's too inaccurate, with limited stopping power and projectile weapons aren't good at shields. THROW THE ASSAULT RIFLE AWAY. NEVER USE IT. You carry two weapons & can switch between them: make one a shield-stripper plasma weapon, and the 2nd - the pistol. Yes, the pistol. The best weapon in the game, unless you have a sniper rifle [what? there's a sniper rifle...well, there were several to be found in that 2nd mission...]. Seriously. The pistol is headshot capable at ridiculously long range, and a single headshot kills ANY Covenant that currently has no shield [with one exception...]. The pistol is a God-tier weapon and should always be carried in normal combat - even on Normal... And here's a question for you. How come the Chief can operate all the alien mechanisms? Hmmm...

Late to the party but I would like to encourage you to try out different weapons in different situations. Rule of thumb: plasma weapons are good against shields and projectile weapons are good against flesh. Also Try to hold down fire button on the weapons and see what happens. Plasma pistol for example has a homing shot which instantly overcharge shields. In later games weapons may get more powers. Halo is a game which gives you plenty of options. There is no real "this is the one option I am supposed to do". Bungie was pretty good in designing games which encourage and reward you for trying many different playstyles. Especially because each respawn is slightly different. The enemy AI to this day is superior.

just finished watching the 1st vid, and starting the 2nd. one tip, when you have a chance to pick up the plasma rifles the enemies drop, try grab them, they are far more advanced than the human rifles, and do more damage to the elites. it takes out the shields faster on the elites.

1:14:52 if you are going to drop off a structure to a lower level, instead of jumping, try just walking off the ledge. because master chief jumps so high that he takes damage from high jumps, but minimal damage if walking off.
