A buddy of mine purchased a dozen Conex boxes a few years ago to make a cover garage for his farm equipment. He stacked them two high and 40 feet apart, and then put a roof structure over the gap. Anyway to improve the looks of the Conex boxes he painted them with old time barn advertising art (think Mail Pouch Chewing Tobacco, Burmashave, etc)
Always nice to come home after putting up a tv wall mount for elderly (he hee, I'm 69 myself) friends of my wife and there's a Chris Letsdig18 episode popped up on my feed. The Bealy Good farm seems to be a never ending pay check for Chris. He even had a fellow TH-camr helping.
Always a nice clean job when Chris is running the bucket. Was great to see Devan there with you guys. You should hire him to help clean up Jeff's other land. He's great with the mulching machines. Looking forward to the next phase of Jeff's (I mean Mrs. Bealy Good's) dream house.
There's nobody better with a mulcher, and now Chris has the same Cancela mulcher Davin has been using. It would absolutely be worth having him tackle that property, in my opinion.
You do awesome work. You calculate angles better than anyone I've ever seen. It was nice to see Davin working with you. You are a joy to watch and I am fascinated seeing you make dirt do what you want it to. Thanks for sharing.
I been living in West Tn for over 80 years done construction work, draw house plans and we have always called the thangs in the ground that you but the foundation on, , , FOOTINGS!!!
I just love listening you all-s all working class guys. And it is interesting to see the NC weather from time to time. Be well, from Richard McManus Chief Warrant Officer-3/counterintelligence special agent (more like an FBI agent than CIA officer), US Army retired, BS psychology and nursing, Everett, WA
In the 70's I worked for a contractor digging footings for additions and patios. The shovel and pick were our tools, it sucked. Back breaking work hot and sweaty. Nice to see Geoff progressing on his home by the lake. That Yanmar is so cool and versatile. You make it all seem so easy.
The workspace on most of those additions was limited so no machine could get in peoples backyards and work the ground so it had to completed by hand. Fresh out of high school I had the stamina and energy to do the work.@@2wwwilly
I've always called them footings, and have only heard them called footings, and I live in Michigan. Anyway, anyone who hasn't checked out the Bealy Good channel should since there's a lot of content with Chris that you don't see here on Chris's channel. Like Geoff shows them setting up the footings, which you don't see in Chris's video. And there's usually a lot of funny stuff being said between Chris and Geoff, lol.
Good work Chris, but as a concrete guy i hope put the adequate amount of rebar as concrete in there, but that is a mammoth of a footer for a house specially on virgin dirt, looks good though im waiting on the concrete to start being poured.
Any time there is a job problem or delay it is because of an Engineer. One of our local building inspectors held up my house foundation due to a few pencil sized roots in the trenches on one side of the base. Property owner puts stuff where they want it - contractor complains its always in their way. Excellent trenching Chris. Who is installing rebar?
Years ago there was an engineer who was famous, FLW, he designed a house, it had a 6” pipe in a 4” wall. My brother-in-law was the plumber trying to fix that. You should have heard him talk about what kind of a mess. Ended up being a beautiful home.
Man, that looked like a pain in the ass to get laid out...lolol... But, you got it all lined out for him , it looks like... Another one well done !! Great as always Chris !! Have a Great Evening, And On too the Next....
First time seeing idig4 so that was an interesting twist, ya now it was probably easier to build a wallmart there than all the fiddly bits for this mansion bro. Safe travels. Ken.
It is to see, You have a great to Know and to understand by the to dig out from House Foundation. Your Work is Exactly to Planing. You the Master Excavator Driver 💪👍👌Thanks for this Video.
Hey Chris & Geoff !!! Where's the dump trailer & Geoff's Tractor to haul away the dirt that will be in the way when they put the footers in place ?? HAHA Great job & hope the lines are right !!! 👍👍👍👍👍
I wouldn't have a side dump because they limit how to access the dump site i.e. if you can only back into a site then the side dump will only dump on the left of the tractor. Bottom dumps are better.
Evil me ! - Just thought of a different bucket design. A flat edge like you are using and the addition to it are retractable teeth. A pair of lines (thumb) send out and retract teeth so digging hard pack rock dirt one can use teeth for a while and when getting close retract and scoop flat edge. Evil Me !
Oh wow... I'm glad to see you back on this BealyGood Mansion job. I had expressed some disappointment that you were just doing the excavating work because I was hoping to see the whole thing. I got an answer that said they'd be filming it... but... what, do they have a YT channel? Is it the builder's channel? I hope you provide a link for us when you have one. Thanks for sharing this with us.
The first time I heard about bureaucrats that make you jump though circles with permits inspections and all that BS I laughed my ass off and when they swore it was true I had to call a few of my fellow retired Seabee friends to get the low down they verified it was real! Here in Alaska they would not dare to tell me how and where to build ANYTHING! They know better!
Back in the 80's the labor force was the leftovers from the looped out druggies of the 70's. I helped a guy build a house in the 80's and his looped out friends wired it and installed the sheet rock. One of those morons left a wind chime in the wall that would sing every time the wind blew. If you have friends that help build a house, be sure they don't have a looped sense of humor!
“Tell me when it starts to sound expensive and I’ll stop 10:30 !!? That was a super statement LMAO😂😂❤
Mr. B. is lucky to have Chris digging this "footsie" job! 😂❤
I am happy for Jeff's Family. Breaking ground on dream home.
So glad they covered "China Shipping" on the container with the American Flag, nice cool touch :-)

Chris you just always impress me with the thing you can do with a machine. The 45 angles look so good. Very nice job my friend.
And, the building starts!! Going to be one documented footer dig!!
you would do well in the UK we call them footings LOL great as always cheers Chris
Footings! Always has been, always will be in this application.

Chris, I think you just use the laser as a backup. Your eye is so precise for grade. Remarkable. Great job.
Definitely nice seeing Strawberry shortcake earning her keep.

This looks like an archaeological dig site. 😆
Chris, You are 100% correct! They are Footings! Keep up the Great Work!
nice precise digging Chris, glad you fixed the container, it looked a bit dodgy back when Geoff did it..
When the man doing the work is a skilled perfectionist, it’s always going to be a good day
Great seeing @idigit4 dropping by. Nobody does mulching better. Nobody builds ponds better than Chris. Love both channels.
Thanks for helping me with figuring out Devin's channel.

What is Davins TH-cam name do you happen to know by chance?

@@Vickie-Bligh thank you. I knew that the guy looked familiar.
I agree with you Chris. Just like you, in the Great Lakes area we DO call them footings. Sorry Mr Bealy, he he. Of course, he IS the homeowner.
Looks like this home is going to be rather large, can't wait to see these footings completed.
Complicated project, to say the least. Interesting! Luv the mini. Perfect digging as usual. God's blessings.
Hey Chris, Finally some progress! Looking good! Should be interesting to watch this ICF way of building! Thumbs up! Stay safe. Jim

Love the video on BealyGood Mansion , very good job on the trench .
Starting at about 3:37 the only thing missing is some Benny H ill music. lol. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the update sir, as always, nice clean, accurate, well planned job site, a pleasure watching.

You guy’s crack me up…each filming for their channel…but we your fans appreciate it…👍👍♥️🇺🇸🇺🇸
Here we go! 😅
Congrats Jeff! "Baby steps"
Sure looks absolutely perfect when we have Chris on a jobsite.
Congratulations Mr @BealyGood on another step completed.

Mr Bealy Good does a great job on his channel.

You have a very deft touch with the mini and the grading bucket, great job
THERE'S NO WORDS TO PUT ON HERE HOW PHENOMENAL FANTASTIC JOB THAT U DO FOR PEOPLE &CONTACTOR. U R TOTALLY AWESOME UNBELIEVABLE.
Great to see Davin there. And so it really begins😊🥰
Chris, digging those footings really shows your ability to do precision work with an excavator, my congrats on a job well done.
Footers😂 even Bealy called them footers, "footers Chris"😂
We call them footings in Australia
In West Virginia they call them unnecessary!
@@alisciamarotta3888It's footings as Chris correctly said. He is the professional not Bealy Bob.
This reminds me of the 3 stooges... just a bit more amusing!

Loved the back push technique to keep the trench neat. good work! :D
Great job Chris and Davin hopefully made Geoff happy great video
I'll stop when it starts to sound expensive-- great one! :):)
Nice,could not ask for more.great video 👍👍👍😎😎😎

@@dirtfarmer7472lots of fun engineering stories.
Frank was no engineer and he appreciated them.
He ‘had the engineer as the engineer had the book’, or something like that.
Chris, do you charge extra when the property owner want to be involved?? Just asking for a friend. 😆😆😆
Just like the signs in the old time service stations, labor rate $50.00 per hour. $75.00 if you watch. $100.00 if you help.
I get a price reduction if I let the concrete contractor use my Bobcat, but I stay out of his way otherwise.

Nice work. I know who too call for footings.
I can see Canada from my house and we say footings or footer. Footer is usually used as a word processing term.
Nice work .
WE use "Footers" and "Footings" both here in Georgia, We know it doesn't mean roof or decking. 😅
I wish there was an un-sped up version to watch. I like looking/listening to in while I work on stuff.
I adjust the playback settings to .25 or .5 and it slows it down

Now don't forget. You have to cut the footings out so that you can pour the footers. That way the footers will keep you on a good footing.
멋져요 👍 잘보고갑니다 😊
The dirt masters touch.
I've always known them as footings, they tend to be continuous.
Actually Jeff, we call them footings out West as well.
It never fails to amaze this northern boy how shallow you put your footers (footings?) in down south....
