I want a line boring tool, have no earthly need for one, but I want one. Thanks for the educational videos. Love the field work more than shop work. The real work is done in the field.
His engineering skills were on full display in this video. Probably the best channel on TH-cam for line boring and line welding. Nobody come even close.
Watching the time lapse of welding the inside of that strut hole was hypnotic, and then boring three holes in one shot shows the power of the hydraulic drive motor and the stability of the system :)
Absolutely awesome job. Some guys restore cars, you restore monsters. CEE has some serious competition when it comes to field work. BTW, I've said this before, your helmet design is a true representative of your business name. It would make great merch. Can't wait for part 3.
Just want to show its dialed in,slaps the bushing...Ol skool kool, and no lips can wrap around and pick this apart....I hope you wether you know it or not will have some people in 10 years look back and say I wish I could meet you and say thanks for doing ehat you did back then...Humble as can be as the truely good people are...Man is this world turning into a smear atleast there a a batch of true craftmen around showing the work before it all disappears
WOW!!!! The line boring is impressive but the line welding is better than a new Caddy. It is perfect. I've seen some pretty good weldors do a bore by hand and it weren't pretty@@@!!!!!! Do they have "multi-tasking in the Olympics"? You could qualify, hands down...... Go Big Daddy GREG!. Boy that bushing bore created some really BLUE chips! Your tig technique looked pretty damn good@!!!!@
Graping on the first weld pass, Ten Demerits a pass! 🤣 Never ever cut a bore with out parts is a rule I have followed for 30 years. It has never failed me. Now other things can go wrong and bore the hole big, but not that!
Try running some micro drills threw the tips on that plasma cutter. I have an Everlast and the tips are maybe dirty or a little under sized. It seems to make them cut better.
I also watch IC Weld, I mentioned about your channel, he wanted to know who Gregg was. Haven’t done that yet with CEE but I will You do some very good work, 3 cuts at the same time, impressive, having the right machine makes a big difference.
Really enjoy watching your metal magic! I guess before the mobile line boring tools they just took the old equipment to the junk yard or did they scab things together? Have fun, be safe!
Hi Greg, was just on your Instagram the other day and I saw your investments in new equipment. Quite clever that you have already jobs lined up for it.Hope the sandblaster is of the dustless type like the one CEE has new in his fleet. With wet blasting you don`t run into issues as the grit didn`t stick to the surface and is easyly washed off. Not talking abt environmental or PPE pboblems. Had some promlems with dry blasting in my day. Greetings from Germany. Manni the CAT Man
@@OFW Try it out , no problems with the fine dust. When it comes to install bushings or bearings the tiniest particle of grit can spoil your whole day. Dry sand/ gritblasting has a kind of electromagnetic effect so it sticks to the surface. By wetblasting and flushing it with water with some detergent no such problems. Your sanblaster and your neightbours even you have none will love you for wetblasting. Greetings Manni
Awesome! Since welding the bores includes vertical up, down, overhead, and flat welding, does the machine automatically adjust the speed, or compensate some way? Your customer must be the guy that likes to keep his machines looking good as well as very well maintained. Might be interesting to meet/interview him. He's obviously the exception to the rule of corporate cost cutting. Thanks for always answering my questions. Poor health and old age prevents me from doing this kind of work anymore and I have to live vicariously through your channel. Regards.
The bore welder keeps a constant speed and travel. That’s why it’s important to have it set just right. This particular customer has a lot of pride in his equipment and likes to keep it nice. I don’t think he would be interested in an interview.
Awesome video, could you please fill me in on that magnetic umbrella base? I've been hunting one for my service truck and that one looks beefy! Thanks again for taking the time to make the vid, awesome stuff watching that bore welding!
Thanks for the reply sir I'm definitely going to look into that myself. Would love a video breakdown and think it would do well for ya. I'm in Texas, and it's crazy hot this summer. Thanks again for the content and reply. Stay safe!@@OFW
I wondered why I haven’t seen multiple cuts on a single pass before. It always seemed like a waste of time from some of the other machine /weld shows I watch but I guess I just assumed the risk was too high. I wonder if those other guys will take the chance. We’ll see.
Another great video Greg. I know everyone has business and trade secrets, but I’m very curious what you charge for a job like this. I understand if you don’t want to divulge that information. Keep up the good work.
Great work. Looks windy and hot. Does the wind affect your shielding gas? Also, how often do you need to clean the nozzle? Can you complete the entire bore weld without cleaning it?
Yes, sometimes the wind is an issue but I can wrap the bore with a fire blanket. If set correctly it can weld for over one hour straight without cleaning the nozzle.
I don't know, but it looked like as he was staring at that very pretty brass bushing I think that he was saying to himself: "this is the Most Shiny Pretty Golden Looking Object On this part of this Heavy Equipment I am installing in a place Hidden where NO One will ever See it, what a Shame". What do you all think, was he thinking something like that?
When he patted the bush through the new casted eye I really said WOW out loud ! it don't get better than that kiddies .
You guys never cease to amaze me!! Absolute cutting edge workmanship, every time!! Thanks again, Greg, Vic!!
I've been waiting to see someone cut all boxes at once.
The best part of this video was seeing the custom plasma cart..proudly serving since being retired of food haul duty.
*On Fire Welding* Bravo well done, thank-you sir for taking the time to bring us along. GOD Bless.
They move mountains with that equipment, but the welding engineering keeps them going.

CEE is just as good at line boring.
Watching the time lapse of welding the inside of that strut hole was hypnotic, and then boring three holes in one shot shows the power of the hydraulic drive motor and the stability of the system :)
Man cutting three bores at once. Now you’re just showing off. Well done bud. Lots of love from C-2 heavy equipment repair. 👊🏼💪🏼🤙🏼
Been waiting for this! Thanks, Thomas, Mississippi!! Enjoy your holiday brother, providing you get some days off. Be safe!!

YOU NEVER SEASE TO AMAZE ME WITH YOUR ABILITY TO COME SULISONS TO MAKE YOUR WORK GO FASTER.
Proud of you Greg! Keep up the good work my boy. May God bless you and your family
Blasting is nice... and a PITA at the same time. Dirty, loud, hot... but man does it make for a great final product.
Thanks for the video series, Greg. Looking forward to the rest. Happy Fourth!

You are gifted my friend at your profession. Praise God for your expertise 👍
I've hauled copper slag out of Canada before, it's being pulled out of a retired copper mine iirc. Cool stuff
1:14 - Perfect display of a quality job, good laugh to see it!
Such great mechanical knowledge & skills on these heavy machines. Repairs look super nice Greg!
Multi tasking and a new welding plasma shopping cart awesome 👍
Morning coffees on!! you guys rock it! Tight, clean , tidy, done! Cheers!;-)!
It looks like you take a lot of pride in your work
Best channel on TH-cam
This job seems to be going well it sure makes a difference when you have the correct tools to work with as you do ! 👍👍
Love the work you do, you make great videos
great series Greg, thanks for sharing.
The shopping/welding cart is awesome!
3 bushing bored same time nice!
I purchased that bestarc and it works great. Asom fab work you do fixing that big equipment. Inspiring thank you.
Marvelous Work Greg.......
Awesome technology 👏 enjoy and have a safe happy 4th of July
Love the shopping cart
Brilliant video as always 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇬🇧
Love the welding cart...I gotta get me one of those!
Beautiful work sir!😊
wishing you a wonderful 4th of July my friend........
Mad skills bro 👊.

Must be a Ritchie Bros rebuild because I didn't see an old Lincoln Tombstone being used and not enough paint on the tires.
I also watch IC Weld, I mentioned about your channel, he wanted to know who Gregg was. Haven’t done that yet with CEE but I will

I have Isaac’s number, we text every now and then.

He can be almost Artistic with a cutting torch, that’s for sure
Really enjoy watching your metal magic! I guess before the mobile line boring tools they just took the old equipment to the junk yard or did they scab things together? Have fun, be safe!
I’m not sure how they fixed it, but I always think about how it could be done with basic tools.
Just enjoy your vlog really interesting
Just need you a 40' x 40' paint booth now

Looking good.

Very Cool😊
Awesome video, could you please fill me in on that magnetic umbrella base?
I've been hunting one for my service truck and that one looks beefy! Thanks again for taking the time to make the vid, awesome stuff watching that bore welding!
I took a lifting magnet and made a mount to connect to the umbrella.
Thanks for the reply sir
I'm definitely going to look into that myself. Would love a video breakdown and think it would do well for ya. I'm in Texas, and it's crazy hot this summer. Thanks again for the content and reply. Stay safe!@@OFW
Always great to watch a job well done. What machine are you using for welding the bore?
Climax bw3000 the miller 800 provided the power
I love the hat 😂
You should be in western ontario.
Why not. The work is here. I work for LaFarge Woodstock.
You can come see this mine or Pit, any day my Friend.
Your always welcome 🙏😊🙂
3 bushing bored same time. !!!
Awesome lineup job man. And the multi tool cut was impressive also. Is your umbrella on a plate mag?
Ya, I used a lifting magnet for the base.
Bon Boulo 😆😆👍👍
I wondered why I haven’t seen multiple cuts on a single pass before. It always seemed like a waste of time from some of the other machine /weld shows I watch but I guess I just assumed the risk was too high. I wonder if those other guys will take the chance. We’ll see.
It’s not always practical for the situation and the holes don’t always line up. But when they do it saves a little time.
I'd love to know what the rebuild cost!!!
I’m sure he will have at least 200k into it.
Another great video Greg. I know everyone has business and trade secrets, but I’m very curious what you charge for a job like this. I understand if you don’t want to divulge that information. Keep up the good work.

Impressive. THANKS!
Are you using spray paint cans to paint this stuff?
Hahaha. No. An air spray gun and an airless gun.
look like someone peed on the tires.
What clearance are you allowing in your finish cut, compared to your bushing diameter?
Depends on size and material. Typically.001” per inch.
I need sandblasting
They going to take that thing to SEMA when you are done ? lol
Hahaha. They could, it’s going to be like new.
Pretty dam close!
Greg,do you ever get one of those holes so oblong, that it affects the stick out on the weld ?
I had that same talk with your mom!
No, because I cut it perfectly round before bore welding.
How much time did you save?
Probably a couple hours
How strong is that welded area inside compared to the original?
About the same as original. Maybe a little stronger.
@@OFW Wow thats awesome. Is it a similar metal you are adding back?
@@popcorn32145yes.
🤝👍🍻🤩🍻🥳🍻👍🤝
And how in the hell does California allow sandblasting
And painting too.
I actually looked it up to see if it was legal before I bought it. Hahaha.
I've been so Prop 65 trained.😂
I'm surprised Comifornia doesn't require wet blasting and water based paint. Eventually they will, probably before they require electric airplanes.
