The first Thai Language Challenge sold out just from the email list so if you want to get on the Waitlist for the next Challenge just go to www.thailanguagechallenge.com/ and sign up to get notified as soon as registration opens, which will be pretty soon.
You were at Wat Pha Si วัดภาษี. Long time follower, but first time commenter. Love your channel, content and the love of my motherland. Much love from NorCal, US. Keep living the life I dream to have one day!
There is an extreme difference between public filming in Thailand versus the U.S. or Canada. The Thai people in this video are so friendly and even want to be filmed! If that was in the U.S. you would have people ready to confront you and saying, "You don't have my permission to film me!" And they would be ready to fight..lol...Love Thai's!
True, but if you had any common sense you’d know there’s no expectation of privacy when it comes to filming in public. Whether you’re in the US or Thailand…
Heartbeat of a beautiful Kingdom , Bangkok has something for every one , Worlds best food , great people , old traditional and modern new , When you do a holiday make Bangkok part of the trip it’s not a place to change planes , it’s the capital and a place to start your trip , get there
For those for you who haven't been to Thailand yet, just go. Chris's comment about Bangkok being less formulaic is spot on in so many ways. No matter what you're doing, you feel alive with all of the others who feel alive. Always talk to the strangers in Bangkok.
Been to many countries backpacking. So many wonderful experiences just about everywhere. When I remember each one, I know it made life full and meaningful. Whatever you do in your life, don’t leave out visiting Thailand (it will enrich your life experience and change your outlook like very few places can). Thailand has my favorite food of anywhere in the world. Even those little portable restaurant carts have five star flavor & quality. People are friendly and generally not overly greedy.
Just arrived in BKK a week ago. Indeed, you can never say enough about the friendliness of the Thai people! Great commute video, Chris! And thanks for the recommendations.
Every time I go to Bangkok depending on the weather I just intentionally "get lost" at least one day on my trip. I will find an area I want to explore, go there on the BTS get off and just wander around for most of the day. I usually find some really amazing food and interesting locations. Also for people wanting to see parts of the city that are seldom visited I suggest going on a bike tour.
Hey Chris, our Granddaughters goes to NIST.(New International School Thailand) great school, they both love it, great staff, and diverse programs, all the kids are in community programs and love the school, good to see the Bangkok Governor got that bit of the walkway along the Klong both cleaned up and the missing section finished, so kids and others can walk to school.
There are very few respectable Thai TH-camrs. But you are definitely one! You are knowledgeable, passionate, and genuine! Unfortunately the majority of Thai TH-camrs are little more than online beggars!
I work in Korea and im visiting Bangkok for a week soon. I just wanted to say thank you for the videos you make and how they've helped me prepare for what to expect! (Also cant wait to feel the heat again because I need a break from freezing my ass off!)
This was a fantastic walk with Chris, brings me right back to when I was there in July 2023. The boats were awesome. The weather there is fantastic, nice walking weather. It is better than the rain we have had for the past 3 weeks in Vancouver!!
9:01 pm Cairns Australia. Just watched my first TH-cam of you. Earlier today taking an Uber from my motel to a travel agency. The driver found out I was from Edmonton, Alberta. He said have you heard of Chris Parker? I told him I was going to Bangkok. He said it is a must to watch your TH-cam channel. He was right! Hopefully I will see you around.
LOVE LOVE tour Thank You after visiting Thailand exploring all avenues of Thailand and after 2 years of investigating we are on our way back to Thailand May 10th with a one way ticket - Bangkok again for 2 weeks to finalize banking, etc then onto Hua Hin for our final destination. By the way coming from Canada
YOU and Mark Wiens are the reason why iam in Thailand now (Samui). I came before Covid hit. Left for two Months and came back. Back then i was on Samui and it was so sad to see all those People struggling. I saw the Video where you Donate Food packages to all those people. This is by far my Favorite Video. Samui is now also my permanent "Home" Thank you Sir!
Absolutely loving this walk around n talks n street food video.....❤so nice ... Thai people live up to the saying live n let live...they are welcoming n smiling...I have not seen anywhere else .... specially if we make video they smile n welcome...not in most other places. Even people visiting from other places become more happy n friendly when the come to Thailand.
Great job Uncle Chris! I'm so glad the Thai language challenge is sold out. Everyone who is enrolled you won't regret it. Chris, that's exactly how you use Thai; you just go out and speak what you know; who cares if it's perfect Thai because the most important lesson is to overcome the fear. Beautiful video. Beautiful reminder that the beauty of Bangkok is not in its golden temples or massage parlors, but in the smell of grilled fish, the sound of a 7 Eleven door chime, and the sight of friendly people smiling. ❤️ รักในหลวง ❤
That is Wat Pha Si, Chris. Great Video. No matter how many times I visit Thailand there is something new and exciting to see and do, you have stirred the wonder lust in me once again for my next trip.
Chris, this was a really entertaining and interesting video. This video captured exactly how I feel about comming to Thailand. I don’t have a boring life back in Sweden, but Bangkok and Thailand overall, gives a extra boost to my life in so many ways. Thanks for all good things you bring. 🙏🏻😀
Chris, you radiate such joy and peace in this video. I’ve seen many of your videos as I plan my trip to visit. I’ll be there for all February 2024. Only 2 days before my longest trip of a lifetime! Have spent last two winters doing cross country travel in South USA. I’m so ready for my first Asia trip!
Chris I like much how you interact with the people. I definitely feel the love and admiration you have for Thailand. The boat travel there was pretty cool. I spent the winter in Mazatlan Mexico 2 years ago and getting around by boat was the way to do it. Much smaller boats though. I am so excited that in less than 2 weeks I'll be in Bangkok.
Nice video and interesting commute! My local neighborhood back a few years ago around Charn Itsara and I used to get that boat over to Central World. Wat Pha Si Temple is where you were. I saw that temple used to get busy during the evening of Loy Kratong where locals would gather to release their kratongs into the khlong.
I'm packing up my life to move right noooooooooow! 😮😊 Haven't been in 2 yrs. I love these strolls. Nice people soo easy to find for a chat, a laugh or a question. Scouting trip in August looking for place and work. I needed this video. Dude, it is just like walking down the street in Bangkok thanks so much this was a great idea to do in in lieu of your original plan
of course, he is celebrity here because he did a lot of good work to my country and city he's living in ... Chris can spot on something that we, Thai, might forgot and show us the beautiful side of our living. He started this right after the Covid when the world was turning back to us... the very first youtuber that made us back to tourist spot again. I wish Chris will not go back home because he's already home now.
Great video, your words ring true about how alive you feel walking the streets of Bangkok. The people and the connection with the city is an experience like no other. The canel boats are a unique and popular way of getting around and I'll definitely be trying the Nongrimklong restaurant next week thanks for the tip CP! Hopefully I'll run into some time 😊
Love Ekkami. Hom Duan has the best Khao Soi ever had, even beating Chiang Mai. Made by a Khun Yai from up North. And it's a 5 minute walk from BTS Ekkami.
Chris, I really enjoy the style of video you do which give insight into daily life in Thailand. My wife and I were in Thailand 10 years ago, and we are heading back in December. This time with our kids. Can't wait for them to experience how great Thailand is. Keep up the great videos. Hope to run into you on the street and say hi.
I only found your channel last week subscribed great information we haven’t been to Thailand since 2013 but definitely going this year for at least a month hopefully 2
These wandering videos are always so fun to watch. Appreciate the tip for visiting the Green Lung Bang Krachao in an earlier video, was out there start of the month and got 21miles in on a bike.
Sunday evening here in Melbourne. Couldn't think of a better way to spend it than watching a RW4U vlog...that is, other than actually being in the land of smiles. As for the commute..... don't pay the ferryman until you get to the other side - Chris de Burgh (thought for a moment he was Canadian). 🙏 Oh yeah, you are the locals rock star dude.🤩
Ok I am in scotland and have been watching you on a few occasions, but today was the most interesting one I've seen in ages, keep it up good watching. Even a Scottish guy getting on the barge
Wow !! It's a wonderful and very funny VDO. I 'm glad to see you walk along a small road and soi of Bangkok. I' m Thais but someplace I never see and go it before; you know road and soi more than many Thais ; thank you so much kaa...
We remember that fruit stand episode when you bought the lot. My Thai wife worked not far from there. She knew a few of the places you walked past - and she rode that boat quite a few times.Thanks.
Thanks alot Chris. Visiting TH in 2 weeks and you are a great inspiration for this, and all your recommendations are noted and your app is downloaded as a backup. Again thanks alot Chris. -ON, 🇨🇦
YES! These type of vids ROCK!!! For those of us back in the cold hemisphere and working on our computers all day, this transports us back to a time and place we are dreaming and reminiscing about.
Your Thai is getting much better! I have been trying to learn a little before our trip and it is very challenging. Thanks for all the great videos and Teenee!
Hey Chris! Fun look at the commute options and recommendations. Enjoying an early Saturday morning watching some YT. Yours was the first of course. Cheers dude! 😎
My daughter went to a preparatory school in Florida great education and $45K per year plus books uniforms etc but I am definitely a proud person for doing what had to be done. She is an only child too.
My daughter is also the only child I have. She had never spent one day in public education from day one up until her college years. She graduated from Oklahoma Christmas University. Then, he went off for her second bachelor's degree at the University of Oklahoma. Lots of money, but she is always graceful for what I had done for her.
Hi Chris! Love your videos, both informative and entertaining! A request- when walking past the more reputable money changers, could you show a few seconds of the current exchange rate board? Arriving in March and can’t wait to walk the streets, and jog in Benjakitti and Lumpini at 5am! Who knows, maybe our paths will cross! All the best!
Love this video so well done how you always capture the true daily life of what happened in Thailand and when you said how you feel alive and enjoying the moment that is exactly how we feel when we were there two years ago there’s always something going on looking forward to going back very soon
I really love your videos. Thank you. Moving to Bangkok Thonburi next year as soon as I get my social security. Thank you. These are the best kind of videos.
Man. Ever since I’ve planned our trip to Thailand. I’ve been watching your videos. We are doing Bangkok, chiang mai, Phuket. Thank you so much for your information. I’d love to meet you while we are Bangkok. 5/23-5/26. It would be my pleasure to buy you a beer sir. We are coming from New Orleans. I’m sure 1 beer would do us justice.
I just posted on my facebook, "I know where I am going to learn to speak Thai" I'm preparing from Tampa Florida area but I want to be there around June 2024. Retired and ready to stay there for my final decade or two, or three maybe.
👋🏼👋🏼Hey Chris another great video! The temple is Wat Pha Si I had to google the area and search the pictures for it 😁 we are finally coming back to Thailand we leave Canada on April 28 land in Bangkok but hoping on another plane and heading to Koh Samui for a week. ♥️🇨🇦
Nice! It was fun to join you on the commute home. My wife's cousin took me on a tour of Bangkok using the various forms of transportation one time. It was a lot of fun, and we got to see so much more than we would have just taking a taxi everywhere.
What a nice commute, I am so jealous. I live in The Netherlands now; cold weather and nasty cold people. If I could find work, that paid the rent as an English/French/ Spanish speaker with an mba there, I would move in a minute. This ex Florida boy would love a return to warm weather.
the temple is Wat Pah Si, that statue that was not the Buddha was Khaman Phet, He either donated the land or built the temple but google is a bit conflicting with the details
Perfect video Chris! We live in the Satorrn Bang Rak area so it’s a little far from Ekkamai. To keep up, we are looking to enroll in a Thai language class. Thank you for the inspiration. Chris & Faby
Hi Chris been watching you for over a year now, I am coming to Thailand in April with my family, 6 of us in total, 4 kids, can you please make a family friendly video on what a family of 6 can do whilst in Bangkok
Hi Chris, we have just got back to Australia after a two-week holiday in Thailand, loved the place, the people and the food. We did Phuket, Chaing Mai and Bangkok, and liked them all for different reasons. We were staying at the Lancaster and went to the Johnson Museum one day and saw that it's close to you. I've watched a lot of your videos before going and used your Tenee App, really appreciate your advice and opinions and hopefully will meet up with you in the future on another trip.
22:00 " thank god. It had been 20 seconds since I had seen a fresh Thai restaurant." 😂 so true. Hey, question check me if I'm wrong but those don't look like River or can certainly Canal fish. Bangkok being close to the ocean are there plenty of ocean fish available fresh to Street vendors and side Road restaurants like that?
Hey Chris I'm a fellow Canadian from Vancouver, almost retired, starting to do research on moving to Thailand. I'm really considering Hua Hin, but I will take a good look at Bangkok, and see if I want to stay in the city or start out somewhere more quiet and laid back; the beach life is my dream.
" Have you ever met a countries people who have mastered the art of live and let live" ? This is Why I Love Bangkok (Thailand) so much.? Man.. that's what it's all about Thank you Chris.
What a fun video this was, Chris. Thank you. It's so great that the Thai people know you and want to say hi. Your sense of joy & excitement for your city is infectious. We look forward to visiting again in July. Hope we get to see you while we're there as wifey is busting to go to the Old German Beerhouse

The Temple ist called Wat Pha Si =) I like to bike in Bangkok =) You can see much more things but you are not so fast as a scooter =)
You were at Wat Pha Si วัดภาษี. Long time follower, but first time commenter. Love your channel, content and the love of my motherland. Much love from NorCal, US. Keep living the life I dream to have one day!
There are two Old German Beer Houses, One you show on the video and there a also one on the next street no. 13 =)
Which you like more?
Too many ladyboys scam
Good to see you take us around in different spots in Bangkok.
😊and definitely friendliness in the Thai's culture. ❤
There is an extreme difference between public filming in Thailand versus the U.S. or Canada. The Thai people in this video are so friendly and even want to be filmed! Depends on your job in any country .😂LOL
That's because so many people with cameras out in the west are complete douchebags
So true
True, but if you had any common sense you’d know there’s no expectation of privacy when it comes to filming in public. Whether you’re in the US or Thailand…
the Western world is collapsing...
Friendliest people in the world. Hands down.
Filipinos are about the same as well.
Heartbeat of a beautiful Kingdom , Bangkok has something for every one , Worlds best food , great people , old traditional and modern new , When you do a holiday make Bangkok part of the trip it’s not a place to change planes , it’s the capital and a place to start your trip , get there
Couldn't agree more! One of the best cities in the world ❤

I love when you said " you feel alive with all the others who feel alive". So true, I can't wait to go to Thailand 😢😢😢
but why? it's never a good idea to talk to strangers
Thai children make me smile!
Love it. Left BKK 5 days ago. I'm sooo ready to return NOW.
Been to many countries backpacking. So many wonderful experiences just about everywhere. When I remember each one, I know it made life full and meaningful. Much sincere ❤️
"People are friendly and generally not overly greedy." only when you speak thai fluently and already got a ton of baht
Just arrived in BKK a week ago. Indeed, you can never say enough about the friendliness of the Thai people! Great commute video, Chris! And thanks for the recommendations.
Love those Bangkok atmosphere video. Thanks, Chris!
The Temple is Wat Pha Si, built in 1847.
And NIST stands for New International School of Thailand.
I love the parts in this video where you speak in Thai and put English subtitles on the bottom! I’d love to learn Thai

Wat Pha Si 😊 I love this style of video! I miss Thailand and the people so much! Cheers Chris!
Chris, I think the temple near Ekamai Road that you visited is called “Wat Phasi.” (วัดภาษี)
Keep up the great work Chris Parker! 😃
Chris, I really enjoy the style of video you do which give insight into daily life in Thailand. My wife and I were in Thailand 10 years ago, and we are heading back in December. I really love your videos. Thank you. Moving to Bangkok Thonburi next year as soon as I get my social security. Thank you. These are the best kind of videos.
This was so enjoyable! And you brought -up some very thoughtful points! 😊❤ Many thanks 🙏👍...

We were appreciated you too that you presented Thailand very well.
Such a fun and interesting commute! I love Thailand. Great video, as always. Take it easy man!
It's Wat Pha Si. I used to live across from it on New Petchburi. Lovely area.

I've watched a lot of your videos before going and used your Tenee App, really appreciate your advice and opinions and hopefully will meet up with you in the future on another trip.
love this kind of wandering with random encounters
Nice relaxing vid there Chris. Thx for posting.
This is one of your best- and great to see you’re still excited to be there
" Have you ever met a countries people who have mastered the art of live and let live" ? This is Why I Love Bangkok (Thailand) so much.? Man.. that's what it's all about Thank you Chris.
It's What Wat! (Thanks to Aldous Huxley's Island!)
I really like the way you see the world and especially Thailand. I'm retired, in Thailand. Love the vids Chris!
Drive past it a lot but never got to visit Wat Pha Si .
