Great review! Thanks for the feedback regarding the Elite Single Monitor Stand, Mike. To ensure that the quality of the product is premium and the base matches the F-GT Elite, we had the use our 100 X 40 premium aluminum profile. The price does reflect the quality of the material we have used, and the price includes include free shipping. The good news is that we are launching a Direct Mount Monitor Stand for the F-GT Elite (might have seen in our product launch video 😉) this year. This will be at a lower price tag for the community that wants to grow within the Elite ecosystem. We’ll make sure to send one your way to hear your insight 😊

Love the review, to anyone watching it who might be interested. He said the monitor stand is $399. NLR has 2. The regular is 299 and the carbon gray’s 399. While 299’s still a lot, it’s better than 399 for sure. It looks like the only difference is one is carbon gray color. Which is probably really nice looking. But not $100 more lol

Here’s an idea regarding the casters: Sliding pads are a cheap and pretty good replacement. I did purchase a kit for about 6$ and I easily move my NLR Elite rig each time that I use it, you don’t even need to unlock/lock wheels and it won’t move by itself.

    • @Corsnor63

Did you install it on the rig, or how exactly?

    • @pierredery9637

@@Corsnor63 those are round with a sliding pad on one side and a kind of rubbery pad on the other where the 4 « legs » of the rig bite into when you place them under the rig, the rig is heavy enough so that the pads don’t shift but slide pretty well on the sliding side.

Hey Dan! Thanks for checking out the review man. Yeah, the seat fits me perfectly. In fact, it passed the “nap test” recently

  • @taxi615
    @taxi615 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Took me a full day yo build it. Instructions were great but adjusting it to my liking took about 3hrs. I will say this is a 2 man job profile and pedal plate are all very heavy and making sure it's all perfect takes so much time. If I had an extra pair of hands it would have taken half the time. The hardest part was the pedal plate by far for me getting the height and angle perfect took so much time I ended up taking a break. Not sure if it was just my rig or they are all this way but the seat rails cut away only allow for 2 bolts each side it works fine but I will probably make small cuts to get all 4 bolts fit. Tried so many ways to make them all fit but they always missed the target by .75 inches. One thing I will say this sucker is tight no amount of FFB or break pedal stiffness will make this rig move. It's solide and everything is very thick. It might be on the higher end of the price spectrum but it's worth every single penny not to mention you get the parts for motion platforms and hardware if you choose to go down that road. If your buying this for F1 and GT3 racing it will do it but it won't take 15min to change into different positions it's not something I would tackle everyday just to be clear some youtubers say its a 10min job well I call bull on that lol. If F1 isn't on your list get the GT only version those pedal bars are not easy to get perfect on both sides. As a first rig I did find it incredible but I also found it to be a massive project for a first timer. Guys like 604 or boosted media build these all the time or have help to build them so it's not as big or as long a project but the instructions were some of the best I've seen for anything I ever built and makes the long journey that much better I will say having a pair of hands to get it perfect and doing the holding while you tighten everything is a must.
All in all this is a great purchase the ES1 is a great seat very comfortable 9/10 from me and don't see myself buying anything else as long as I race. Next level racing hit a homerun with this product.

Thanks for the review. This is certainly an impressive piece of equipment. The biggest problem I have with these aluminum extrusion rigs is that they are so monstrous. My wife will not like having that in our rec room and, frankly, neither would I. I have built my own rig from wood which sits much closer to the ground and is far less obtrusive. I am happy to continue using it until you sell me your GTTrack cockpit 😊. Cheers, Mike!

Great review, I'm most of the way through my build. As someone who has virtually no experience in construction, the build process has been much slower for me single handedly, but still a good process. Also I am working in a tiny room that barely fits the rig, that slows things down greatly too. I can't wait to finish but taking my time to get it right.

Family always getting in the way of important stuff.
I have a SimLab GT1 Evo and a P1X. I’m not a mechanically inclined person really. Putting those two chassis together as well as adding tons of hardware, changing hardware around, adding extensions was so easy. It was actually fun. I really enjoyed the experience.
If you have the right tools it helps. I got a set of screwdriver style allen wrenches and that made it super easy. How people struggle or hate the processes i don’t understand.
Glad to see they sent you one. I haven’t seen any reviews using the V3 yet.

I have TWO NLR GT Lite foldable rigs. A lot cheaper than this more permanent item, which looks awesome.
You might think that a foldable rig has rigidity issues, particularly with a DD wheel. Well, I had a G29 fitted to my rigs (one at partner's house), and decided to upgrade to Fanatec DD Pro.
With the addition of a ratchet tie-down strap, there was ZERO movement, and the GT Lite retains a huge amount of positioning flexibility.
If I were you, I'd consider upgrading your Logitech (remember, I still have one), and investing in the cheaper - but still ultra-rigid, if set up properly) foldable option. Cost will be even less, and the difference in direct drive is incredible.

The one thing I see as a con to the new GT Elite is on the shifter/handbrake mount its just a horizontal arm hanging off the wheel base angled beam vs on the F-GT Elite there is a separate support extrusion that attaches to the base as well as offering a second mounting configuration (show in boosted medias review). I noticed when you are using the shifter on the F-GT there is slight movement but even more so when you yank on that handbrake. I have two criticisms: 1: The front/side mounting option (which you didn't have) - it looks and feels like "amateur hour" and wobbles worse than jelly with parkinson's after a few minutes of use. You can replace it with a real front plate or side arms, but they should have made this an option and given up on their poor front/side mount options.
2: The pedal plate moves under even moderate pressure. You can see that on your review. At this price, this should not happen!
