  • Benefits of FLAXSEED
    Also referred to as linseed.
Important nutrients: high fiber, lignans and alpha linolenic acid(ALA) which is a type of omega 3 fatty acid, protein, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc.
Lignans are antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and has estrogenic properties. Lignans can protect against breast cancer. Also reduces hot flashes, cell proliferation and mortality with women with breast cancer. In men, shown to reduce PSA
More potassium than bananas per serving.
Heart: reduces LDL and total cholesterol, improves HTN and CVD risk.
Diabetes: improves insulin sensitivity and blood glucose control-likely due to soluble fiber.
Brain: improves depression and increases BDNF-which promotes growth and maturation of nerve cells.
Constipation-make sure to drink more water.
Ground flax will start to oxidize so keep in a air tight container. Get the whole flax seed and grind as necessary for use.
Use to bake into to glutenfree products
    Lectin free

I grind up one tablespoon of Chia seeds and 1 tablespoon of flaxseed every day and put it into my protein shake. You don’t have to add a hundred “healthy” things at once. I’ve been adding maybe one or two a year for the last 15-20 years and it’s turned into a lifestyle instead of an unpleasant chore. Your diet and exercise will bleed into your success as human in every aspect of your life. This message is meant for you. Yes you!!!

Flaxseed has benefits in baking too, it helps everything hold together, especially when working with non wheat flours. I use a little ground flax seed in pizza sauce (right before putting it on pizza) to help it hold together because I stopped eating cheese. The ground flax seed in the sauce keeps it on the pizza.

Flaxseeds have become my friends for over a decade now.
I had a doctor that instead of giving you pills, he would first go for something natural. To improve my nervous as inmune systems, i take a tbsp of flaxseed oil, 1tbsp of lecithin granules that i mix with red grapefruit juice and drink that 30 mins before i prepare breakfast and it has been very positive.
I also use flaxseed to substitute egg for baking and it makes the cakes not just healthier but also moist and yummy. Our favourite is the dates cake, made one for the doctors and nurses in the clinic last time i had to visit them 😊
I add it on salada and porridge.... it is very easy to add to your daily yummy's.
I noticed the pre-menstrual pains to disappear!! they come back if i dont have faxseeds for a month... also noticed improved bowel movements and good job results😉😇🥰

I've been taking ground flaxseed for 6 months and this is one of the benefits. Before taking them I rode an exercise bike at a gym and a five minute way to burn 50 calories is riding for 1 minute at 7 and then increase it to 17 and ride for 30 seconds (like riding up a mountain) then reduce it to 7 and ride another minute then increase it to 17 etc. My heart rate stayed the same (before the flaxseed) when riding the 7 (94 beats) but before the flaxseed, when I did the 17, my heart rate rose to 118 but after 6 months it rises to only 107.
