Dr. Liu is awesome! She gave us high-end options, budget options, curly and coily friendly options, European options, Korean and other Asian options. She provided education, instructions. She got straight to the point. I haven’t seen any of her other videos, but I’m following. I love her wealth of knowledge and that she researches before providing information.
Thank you for this! I’ve been looking for a dermatologist recommended hair products video! Since there aren’t many doctors that specialize in hair, many influencers swear by these crazy expensive products and push it on the everyday consumers without knowing any scientific facts about them. Again, thank you Dr. Liu!
I use my Redken all soft leave in when I get out of the shower, before I use my flat iron, and before I go to bed if it is on a night I don’t wash. Makes such a difference!
I love the L'Oréal Ever Pure bond repair line. I also use their pre poo once or twice a month depending on what kind of shampoo I'm using. Usual I pair with the L'Oréal Ever Pure clarifying shampoo or I'll skip that. Shampoo once with clarifying, follow with a bond repair shampoo for the second wash, then end with the dove 10-in-1 bond serum conditioning mask or Pantene deep conditioning mask. Also I love the OGX coconut milk hair serum. It's really lightweight and doesn't weigh my thin/ fine hair down but they have an even more light weight spray serum
I honestly can’t do dry shampoo… I tried different brands but always felt gross….and itchy.when I washed my hair finally so much fall out…I’ve accepted washing everyday is best for me 😊
I think we have the same hair - Oily, flaky scalp, and coloring damage. (The coloring is non negotiable - I went grey when I was 16 and I have been coloring for ...quite a while.) I can't use some of these products since I am allergic to coconut, but this is a great start to research, thank you very much. :)
It's the first time that I listen and watch your videos and they are really excellent! I need an advise for my girl child, 10 years old. We can use the same products or something like that.
Thanks for another very informative video. I absolutely love the K18 products, it has done wonders to my hair. I’m also excited to try some of these products you recommended. Quick question, do you have recommend using shampoo? If so any recommendation? I was thinking of trying the K18 air wash. Thoughts?
I love the L’Oréal Everpure line. So far the clarifying shampoo, deep conditioning, bond repair serum and bond repair shampoo. For my hair, I don’t really like the thickening conditioner and so am looking forward to the bond repair conditioner. I just have a hard time feeling justified to buy more expensive products although I have done so in the past
What are some leave on scalp products we can leave on our scalp that can prevent dandruff growth? I’m thinking of using Aloe since oils don’t seem to be preventing dandruff.
Hi with the nioxin can I just use the serum for roots I am thinning in the front of my hair and if I stop using it Will my hair start falling out or can I just use it till I see an improvement thanks
Hi, Doctora. I have a super oily scalp and using a korean products that is made for oily scalp. But useless 😓🥹 I have to shampoo daily but my hair is so thin, brittle and already dry. I am 60 yrs old and from the Philippines.
I have been using the same moisturizer cream for over ten years. And every time i stop using it i get tiny little bumps all over and rn it is feeling very dry all over like a scab almost. What could be the reason for this ?
Are all these products color safe? I spend too much $ on my hair coloring to have products strip/fade color. Would love to learn about procedures that are safe for darker skinned people
Do clarifying shampoos remove color? I would think so, so I'm not sure how to balance using it - I want to remove chemicals/minerals from my super hard water but don't want to remove the color...
Do you have a rec for a fragrance-free shampoo that is safe for color-treated hair? Not a clarifying shampoo (have that and it’s not great for my color), not a medicated shampoo….me: short hair, normal to dry scalp. P.S. no to Vanicream shampoo. My face love their products. Their shampoo turns my hair to straw. I have yet to find a gentle, color-safe, fragrance-free, anti-dandruff shampoo…
@@LeilanaVif I may, Seen shampoo. I feel the same way about Vanicream shampoo. But I don’t know a how Seen is with dandruff. It’s a great shampoo though.
What do you think of sulfates in shampoo? Some people say they are bad and drying, and other people say you need them in order to prevent hair loss from using only sulfate free shampoos.
@@dr.jennyliu , have you tried the Nioxon nighttime density serum. If so, how do you think it compares to the Nioxon serum you mentioned in this video? Will the daytime one alone be beneficial, or does it have to be combined with the nighttime one? Thank you!
Just to tell my opinion, the title was about haircare, but the first 2 mins you talked about the skincare, which I didn't expect from a haircare video clip. I'd cut that part from this clip.

I’m currently taking 2.5 mg oral minoxidil. Do you think the Nioxin is a good addition or topical minoxidil 5%? Thank you!
Awesome video thank you! A video on Dermal Melasma.
Have you ever tried any other kerastase masks? Would you say this is the best one for fine damaged hair ? :)

Dr Liu, I hope i don’t sound crazy but would you advise using skincare products for hair? I feel like some might work…

What could be the reason for this ?
So use clarifying shampoo once a week and anti-dandruff shampoo once a week ? Or both on the same day ?
What is the best shampoo for scalp skin that breaks out with sore pimples?

Yes they are and on the packaging or on their websites it should state that
Doctor any tips for good hair growth after head shaving

Get a shower head filter
Could you use the Nioxin serum if you are using minoxidil? Like one in the morning and one at night.
I wish there was a non-oily minoxidil vehicle- Rogaine makes my hair look so oily
Can I use the L’Oréal one every few days? 😊
can't find the tsubaki hair oil anywhere online :( its out of stock on amazon
