I'm somewhere around 5'5 3/4 to 5'6 flat and I wear boots or converses with insoles or don's dress shoes and I can get my height to be anywhere from 5'8-5'9. It definitely helps with confidence. Been doing it for a while, and nobody really seems to notice. If anyone asks I just claim 5'7 or so.

@Ismael Hernandez 5'9 is a good height man. You shouldn't feel self-conscious. But that extra 1-1.5 inches really feels like a difference maker. A friend of mine I asked his height and he said 5'9... and I was like no way you look 5'10-5'10.5. He was like he's more like 5'9.75. When you get in that range, it can look pretty tall.

I am 6 ft (183cm ) and i don't buy elevator shoes out of fear that two of my friends who are 6 ft 2' (188cm) will clock once i become an inch taller than them. they usually wear flats.
Yea they would definitely notice that they would be so used to looking down on you. Literally, to not notice. I think I could get away with it because at 5"6 flat I'd still be shorter at 5"9.

If height really bothers you then get rich and get a surgery it can give you a permanent 5-6 inches of height.
In today's world, some guys are so tall - and, even as a young guy, I wanted to be taller but I only made it to 5/ 10 1/4" so with height increasing shoes, I can be just about six feet. The ONE THING guys should understand is that, the pants you wear would have to accommodate the higher shoe, so, keep that in mind. You may want your tailor to adjust the hem of your trousers so that they properly fall over the shoe.

My boyfriend was 7'3 and I was not happy with his short height , so I asked him to get these .. Now he looks pretty good at 7'6 but still he should be atleast 8 to be considered as tall .. Btw I am 4'7 so I am happy with my height ❤️

There must be a point where it's obvious though. If you're 5 5-,5 8,,,, and get 3" it's only going to MAYB help if you're 5'7+. I'm 5'7" on the nose. So 3" is a lot to compensate for to be above avg. Might do 2-3 " just to be perceived as an adult. Genes are CRUEL.
We're the same height! I'm around 5'10", and have thought about elevator shoes just so I can pass the 6' mark, at least with shoes on.
If you just get some thick sneakers like Hoka's you'll pass the 6' or be close. With some logger or cowboy boots definitely 6'

Don't use elevator shoes....it gives u height dismorphia...believe me....I wear a shoe that has an inch sole and it raises my height to 5ft11...when I take the shoes off at home and look in the mirror I see a short dude as I got used to that shoe....Just think what would happen if u get used to a 3 inch sole

Most look like regular shoes. I would stay away from anyth9ng over 3 inches. In fact, i would recommend starting at 2 - 2.4 inches. And ease into 3 inches

No way do those make you 3" taller, especially for a lowcut shoe. They measure the increase at the very back of the shoe, not the pivot point. You'd most likely gain around 2" in them, meaning you'll appear around 1" over people in regular shoes.
the heel is 1” and the inside gives a little more than a 2” boost. when your foot presses down on the sole it becomes a 3” boost total
@@ilovecheesecake516 I've owned pairs and lifts like these and what they do is measure it at the very back of the shoe. So the heel might be 3" high but that doesn't mean you'll get exactly 3" in total you'll be 2-2.25" in total. To give you a perspective on how high it would take to get 3" taller legit - If a man with a average sized foot went on their tip toes barefoot as high as they could they'd be 3" taller than their heels on the ground. In order to get 3 actual inches the elevator shoe would need to be a boot or high top with a decent sized outter heel and front sole of the boot for the shoe to be comfortable and manageable.

@@seant7215 Yeah and there is enough room on the inside for me to stick another 1” insole to give me another 3/4” boost. And as for the looks it’s pretty similar to the guys in the video. They are not too comfortable but the confidence boost for me is worth it.

@@Zoidd_Bergg No offense man but you should give up the 6' pipe dream. It's not going to comfortably happen with elevator shoes unless you get something so big people will easily notice.
Even at 5'9 you technically need 4 inches of rise to hit the 6ft mark, because pretty much everybody gains 1 inch with regular shoes..so you need to stand at 6'1 with them on.
I'd go with a max of 1-1.5 inch lift, putting you around 5'10 and some change. You'll get some extra confidence and you'll be at an above-average height. And you'll be able to walk properly, and nobody will know you're cheating.
At the end of the day I’m only a pathetic 179.9-180.0cm and 182cm in shoes, I could really do with these insoles to be a respectable male height in the UK
I wouldn't worry about it man, you aren't disfigured and everyone has some things go well for them and other things they would like to be different. Focus on your strengths and don't worry about the things that don't really matter.

It's mostly because these girls wear 6 inch heels, so they want you to be taller than them. The average height was calculated across the entire us but some states have taller people than others. Just because an average man in america is 5'9 that does not mean that an average man in california is 5'9
Are they comfy enough to wear daily?
I've tried different types of elevator insoles and they universally make my feet slide down to the toe box. This makes my toes rub and get calluses, and the top of my forefoot also hits the top of the shoe so the shoes don't fit anymore. This makes the top of my feet hurt, swell, and generally be intolerable. Maybe actual elevator shoes would help, but I don't know if elevator shoes meet other standards I expect from good shoes. Standard decent, reliable, non luxurly, long lasting shoes shouldn't cost more than $100, but I don't find any with such quality that aren't at least $150. If I buy height enhancing shoes that fail in every other metric except making me taller, I can guarantee I would never buy a second pair. I don't think men on a normal, middle class, average budget would either. Maybe there isn't any other option than to accept being a short (5'4") man, date women who are only "settling" for men they wouldn't choose if tall men found them attractive, be overlooked for promotions and advancement at work because I don't "look" powerful and alpha, and get on with what life handed me.
I am six feet tall, but am now considering wearing shoes that place me in the over-6ft-club. Chukka-style shoes seem like the best solution to disguising any kind of lifting shoe, with lifts inserted. Hope somebody else is reading this as a quick hack, instead of buying these expensive shoes that have a dead give-away.

Men in The Netherlands tend to be some of the tallest men in the world, and similarly from China, Japan tend to be smaller. So I'd say, if the poser of the question comes from a country where the average national height is LESS than their height, then they are tall.
