If he got them in a normal looking material, some boot cut jeans would totally disguise their construction, or even a straight leg cut would be better than skinny jeans with cuffs rolled up. Also, he'd need a longer inseam than he usually wears to hide where exactly the top of the shoe is and give them an illusion of being shorter than they really are.

Yeah, he also got like "casual" looking ones which makes it stand out. Something with a more hiking boot look would give off the impression that they are bulky because they are for hiking, but since these he wear are casual looking there's no justification for the awkward bulkiness of the shoe. I wore some in high school lol. But being skinny defeated the purpose cuz then I felt like a giraffe. It was funny when all of a sudden people were confused when I was taller than them though lol they never guessed it was my shoes.

The standard sneaker adds about .5 inches to ones height, a bit more for basketball shoes (1-2 inches). Even for taller people, I would still take how much height a shoe adds into consideration. Instead of opting for a +.5 inch height shoe, opting for a +1 or +1.5 inch shoe will give the illusion of longer legs which improves proportions without looking completely out of place (as in this video). No shame in doing so. Above 2 or 2.5 inches of added height though, it starts to be rather noticeable. (I'm 182cm, if that matters)
to add, tall guys often wear larger size shoes and the the bigger the shoe size the more they give height. I noticed that with nike air shoes. so tall guys have that advantage

I totally understand feeling more powerful with a few inches added under your feet. When I could wear a 3 inch heels, it was amazing the feeling I had. But be careful because it can shorten your Achilles tendon on the back of your ankle if you do it too much and for too long. Unfortunately. Now I can’t wear them at all. Which is horrid. I don’t even notice that the shoes allow a 3 inch difference. That is amazing.❤

I'm a short guy, and I admit I hide like 2 inches insole inside my shoes. Some of my friends have noticed I'm way shorter... in situations where we need to take off shoes. People always tell me I need to be more "confident in myself". I know it is important, but why does men have to be confident? Why not tell all the girls who wear high heel the same thing? Is unfair :( I began to put my real height in my tinder profile, and I have noticed I get almost no matches compared to before when I didn't even put anything in my profile... lol

@@fake-PSL I guess when u become insecure, it’s more obvious - definitely feel like height becomes a daily factor into a lot of guys’ lives as we get older. Two inches difference doesn’t seem that much on paper since it’s usually the top of the forehead, but in photos it is quite noticeable. However when you’re walking together I’d say people wouldn’t be able to tell if it’s a 1-2 inch difference; especially if your shoe heels are different creating that centimeter difference on average. On the other hand, three inches would make a marginal difference imo, especially in pictures since that’s how I was in pics with my older brother and father. 1 inch, is where it’s kind of oblivious, you’d have to get real close to know the difference.
People tell you to just be confident without realizing that height affects everything in life, not just dating but in how seriously you're treated by coworkers, bosses, etc... and it's hardwired into our biology to associate height with competence and leadership.

But all it showed was the fact that kids that were short when growing up were less confident and because of that they were treated less seriousely
But kids that were close to average height/average at that age were treated good and earned more
So in practice its not your height but your insecurity
And Im saying it as a 5'8 guy when Luke is barely any shorter than me standing at 5'5
(Keep in mind that average height of a man in Americas is 5'9 outside of central America when its 5'7 by statistics
Also, europeans are shorter by almost and inch staying at 5'9 3/4 which is rounded to 5'10 in most cases because its the same in practice)
I am 1.95m long and always had the opposite problem: being too long, while those around me were "normal height". So I was perceived early on as a hybrid of giraffe and freak. Being "too tall" and "too short" in a "normal environment" sucks either way.
To be honest, if you work out with your body and get crazy physique you’ll be a beast specimen no doubt 💪
