    Haven’t cared about AOT since the manga ended. Hated it then. Hated it now. It’s like the game of thrones of anime. Starts off amazing. Gets even higher. Kind of stagnates. Then the end has you questioning why tf you watched the show or cared to begin with. I remember hoping that he would release new chapters or do a rewrite. I can’t believe I waited a decade for this lmao

      It's actually hilarious (in a tragic sort of way) that AoT was called the Game of Thrones of anime back when it first released, and now both are compared to each other again but for a completely different reason.

    1. Lenght killed it. Every previous episode lasted for ~20 minutes and has the sinusoidal structure of changing from terror to wholesome.
    2. Final battle was plot armored to the point where Warhammer keept Pieck impaled for like 10 minutes without even trying to finish her. All these titans on Erens back behaved like Assassin's Creed enemies on lowest difficulty so despite their numbers they choosed to attack one at a time. If they were ruthless like the mindless titans they would make the job done in a minute (and they could be ruthless as shit as there was no human inside them. they was just a tools).
    And how did they opposed to Ymir's power? Did she just let them do whatever they want? Felt just like magic of friendship from disney. It makes no sense at all.
    3. They didn't showed Eren's perspective for the entire season and decided to finally show it in a sequence where he just speak to his friends?
    How much fucking better would it be if Flock killed Mikasa and Eren tried to stop the rumbling as he has nothing to fight for and Ymir didn't let him so Armin could see empty world? Anything to make them don't describe everything in a talk...

    my only real problem with the show is how it is incredibly vague what memories eren got at what time. Did he see he would be stopped when he touched historias hand? He said he would of completed the rumbling if he hadn't been stopped, does this confirm eren lied about planning to be stopped and only changed decisions when he saw the future with the founders power?

      (Hot take) It also felt to me as if EP1-56 and 57-End is 2 different anime, Eren's personality just change within 1 episode after the instant he touched historia. The show didn't even gave us glimps of alternative endings in his mind and he just kept all the thoughts to his mind. Without comparisons to alternative universes AOT could hardly convince us that this is already the best outcome

    • @KBWanime
      @KBWanime  ปีที่แล้ว

      I do somewhat agree. I think Eren's descent into being a psychopath could have been more smooth. There are reasons for it as it's explained, but I would have liked seeing Eren fall into his role as an antagonist instead of just suddenly appearing as one.

    When exactly did Eren say, that he loves Mikasa? That's something I never understood, how people can twist his words. He only wanted her devotion, that doesn't mean that he actually loved her. When I read the final chapter it didnt come over to me like he loved her. It's comparable to people that are craving for others attention. This doesn't mean that they are automatically in love with them.

    You know a masterpiece can exist without it being perfect, and it can be a 10/10. I really don't understand why these have to be mutually exclusive from "masterpiece".
