I just bought the new tensor, the R value is 4.2 now, if I could find it in a mummy shape, thst would be great. This is the only item I have ever compromised weight over comfort, I would be on the unerlight, I have that one also, but for me the comfort, on this piece its the one area you have to give at least a little for comfort . Thanks for the video :)

I have the new tensor 4.2 mummy .it’s tiny and has meant I don’t need to upgrade my down bag as it’s so warm.

the neoair xlite also comes as a MAX version, which is then the same shape as the tensor

The Therm-a-Rest NeoAir is now nylon 30d (not polyester), I suppose the old one was as well. Nylon is more robust than polyester (but less pleasant maybe on the naked skin).

Hmm...the 2022 Nemo Tensor Insulated pad is 4.2 R value.

The nemo has LOTS of reviews saying it has failures. I think maybe do some research before spending that much.

That thermarest is so noisy! It's ridiculous. Would never pay money for that. Ordering the new Nemo

These reviews don’t tell the whole story, once you use the xlite a couple times the the foil breaks in a it isn’t that loud, about the same as the tensor. I suggest buying your pad at rei so you can return it if you don’t like it. I was just at rei like 4 days ago and the xlite and Nemo tensor sounded very close abs neither was that loud. Not sure if it’s the camera like mic that picks up the sound so well or what but it isn’t that loud.

That was a nice review but yikes, you picked up way too much crinkly, crunchy noise with the constant handling of both pads. Ouch!
I’ve never had problems attaching the inflation bag to the Thermarest and I like the fact that it can also be used as a stuff sack, such as to hold wet or dry clothing. I’m watching these videos because I really like the Nemo comfort and non-mummy shape (I toss and turn and fall off mummies all the time). But I’m short enough for a Wide Regular Thermarest (yay) but Nemo only has wide AND long, which takes up more tent and packing space and weight.
