After just coming back from Muscat/ Al Jabal Al Akhdhar. I have to say it is an extremely calm and quiet place to visit. The only thing I struggled with is that it feel a bit too slow/quiet at times & less social activities to participate in compared to a busy city. Apart from that its extremely safe and clean. I just don't think I would be able to live there just yet.

Oman is very cultured, I have family there & have been going back there since I was young, me and my family live in the UK I was born and raised here, as someone who's from both sides and know both cultures really well I will say do not move to Oman if you think its going to be like Dubai. Oman is for those who want peace and quiet, respect, love nature & most importantly love the authentic Arab culture. Do not go there with bad uk manners, smile, give salaam, most importantly respect the Omani culture, try your best to learn Arabic, English is not widely spoken like in Dubai, learn the Omani dialect, other than that Enjoy :)

Beloved akhee baarak Allahu Feek, I some questions to add that are: 1. Can one live in Oman for his entire life without being dependent on his boss or having a business partnered with a local or something? 2. And is there any kind of iqaamah restrictions like in Saudi if you have no iqaamah they will throw you out, 3. And are there any opportunities to obtain citizenship or a green card or something that guarantees permanent residency? If yes is that possible by naturalisation or only by investment? 4. Can a foreigner buy his own house in Oman? I want like a place where you don't have to worry about being thrown out of and can spend your life there with peace and call the place your own home.
I mean, as Subcontinent Muslims we see this as an absolute win.😂 Because looking at the negatives mentioned, We’re used to extreme weather(due to pollution) And we are used to having Fridays and Saturdays off. These are not negatives lol.

The labor is cheap because you pay them peanuts. While you are probably not doing it intentionally, you are condoning human exploitation. Most Arabs harbor a sense of superiority over non-Arabs, despite contradicting the teachings of our Prophet's final sermon. It's rare to see locals serving food to customers' cars, a task one should ideally handle oneself. However, your observations regarding rent and safety are valid. Despite this, I made the decision to relocate from Saudi Arabia to Australia and haven't regretted since.

Asalamoalikum Akhi. I had a few questions for you, if you don’t mind answering. 1. Where are you originally from (ethnicity)? 2. Do you own a business in Oman or are you employed at a firm there? which industry sector? 3. How long did you plan before making the move to Oman? 4. Why Muscat (over other major cities)? 5. What is the day to day life really like there? 6. Locals seem very nice from what I’ve seen (in videos etc.), but what are your dealings like with other expats? 7. What type of businesses are permitted and prohibited for foreigners. What type of work is most in demand, maybe that could be a subject for your next video. 😁 I have a a lot of questions, but I think these would encompass a lot and perhaps help others searching for similar information. JazakAllah khair!

Could you clarify a few of these points?
1. How is the tech industry there?
2. How is schooling there? How expensive are International schools?
3. Can I get a visa while working a fully remote job?
4. What are some long term considerations if I want to retire there? Any possibility for permanent residency?
5. How important is learning Arabic for day to day life?
6. Can you talk about health & medical costs as well, in case someone does not have insurance?

Some rough estimates
Renting a 2/3 bedroom apartment depending on the area ( unfurnished of course ) £300-500
Internet( £50 a month ) cheaper if you have a neighbour willing to split the bill
Electricity ( £10 a month ) depending on usage
Shopping ( £200 per month )
Car rental ( £300 per month )
I did not include ( schooling , obtaining a business investor visa )
Above rough estimates based on a family of one.
Visa (£2,000) for the whole family for 3 years
School 🏫 is £200 one time payment for the year

Assalum Aleykum Brother. Thank you for the support, I truly appreciate it!
Inshallah!
Oman is beautiful. My cousin lives there. But out of all of the Muslim lands to make Hijrah Egypt is #1 or will be the feasible #1 option in the next 5 years. They are building all New infrastructure most of which is already completed. You can buy citizenship for you and your fam buy buying a home in the new developments. English is widely spoken. Everything is super cheap. Conservative Muslims everywhere, private western level education is available along with world class islamic education, super-friendly people and lots of land to travel within. Climate is perfect not too hot or too cold

In Oman all Muslims are living and praying together no discrimination of sect or mosques.
It's not a Sunni majority. Most of them are followers of Abadi sect aka Khawarg.

Beloved akhee baarak Allahu Feek,
I some questions to add that are:
1. Can one live in Oman for his entire life without being dependent on his boss or having a business partnered with a local or something?
2. And is there any kind of iqaamah restrictions like in Saudi if you have no iqaamah they will throw you out,

Most Arabs harbor a sense of superiority over non-Arabs, despite contradicting the teachings of our Prophet's final sermon. It's rare to see locals serving food to customers' cars, a task one should ideally handle oneself.

I have a a lot of questions, but I think these would encompass a lot and perhaps help others searching for similar information. JazakAllah khair!

Very interesting video. I've been a bit conflicted with Oman, as I have read many articles about "Omaniazation" and how expat jobs are being banned in almost every sector.
