Iv just come back from 1 week in Oman stayed in muscat al khawural area..amazing country I can see my self live there. I might be wrong but it feels like expats from south asia are more respected by natives here in Oman than the likes of Saudi and UAE

The caveat with buying a property to receive the lifetime visa is that properties in the ITC Zones are priced 200% to 300% higher than comparable properties outside these zones, which are only available to locals or expats through their LLCs. When it comes time to sell, be prepared for the challenge of finding a buyer, as you can primarily expect interest from other expats, and it may be difficult to achieve the same high price you paid.

Thank you for sharing. This is really great information for those that want to move there. I was in UAE for sometime and some of their visas grant you free access to neighboring GCC countries. I visited Oman twice and the place is beautiful, the people are nice and it has potential for growth. On weekends I would see Omanis driving over to UAE for shopping and sometimes at spare parts yards. UAE has a very large spare parts business. I think the Omani Investor/Lifetime visas can also grant one free access to UAE and the neighboring countries but maybe you can confirm on that. Otherwise if it is possible then you can get the Omani visa and enjoy all the other countries around Oman. Flights are cheap and one can also drive. Beautiful roads with nice scenery too.

About the point #2.. We were the owners of Sabir Super market in muscat.. The biggest super market chain of muscat during the 80s and early 90s.. The owner of the chain Sabir Abbasi (my grand father) died in 1986 and my father had to pair up with a local Arab because of Govt policy and he ate up the entire company and we had to flee muscat for good because he also got my father and uncle in jail over bogus cases. We lost the entire company. Over 600 employees. Biggest and the only super market chain of muscat.

Barakallahu feeka akhee!! I’ve been watching your contents and Masha Allah they are excellent! My only concerns or questions having lived in the gulf (Saudi and Qatar) are:-
    1. What is there in terms of learning the deen or Arabic language. I mean institutes, study circles, Quran centers, scholars?
    2. How is the Muslim expat community in terms of organizing events ?
Of course no doubt it’s still better than living in the UK, but the above are key for people looking to move and benefit in their religious and hereafter affairs

2 comments : first even though you have the visa it doesn’t mean you can stay there forever cuz the cost of living is high especially if you have kids. Secondly, to associate with an Omani to open a business is quite common and you can write a document that he will only receive a certain amount per year

Oman is an amazing country, a much better place to live than much of the Middle East (maybe even the best). However, I couldn't bring myself to spend the best part of my working life in any country where it's impossible to settle in and actually immigrate to. The whole of the Middle East and others (Brunei, Malaysia, etc.) only want skilled people and their families when they are working. Once they retire (or lose their job like in Covid) the only thing you see is the door. It's impossible to naturalise as a citizen in any of these countries or to actually become more than just a temporary part of society. The west has it's problems, but the UK, Europe (with exceptions), Canada, US, Australia, NZ etc. all offer a real opportunity not just to live and work but also to actually become a local and equal to all others. In my opinion, nothing can compete with this.

To obtain a lifetime visa by purchasing a property in Oman, the required minimum investment varies based on the duration of the visa. For a ten-year permit, foreign nationals aged 21 and above must invest a minimum of OMR 500,000 in an Omani-based limited liability company, closed joint-stock company, or government bonds, or establish a company in Oman employing at least 50 Omani nationals. Alternatively, for a five-year permit, the investment threshold is OMR 250,000 in government bonds or purchasing property with a minimum value of OMR 250,000. Retirees aged 60 or over can also apply for a five-year visa if they can prove they have lived or worked in Oman (1 Omani Rial equals 2.60 United States Dollar).

Great video on Oman. We all have seen Dubai videos but this is my first time coming across this type of content on Oman. So very excited to follow your channel. Just wondering if you looked at places like Ajman, Ras Al Khaima etc before making a move to Oman (not Dubai which is way expensive & unaffordable). The reason I am asking is because in places like Ajman, the real estate is cheap, you are still part of UAE and you can always work/commute to Dubai and leverage it to your advantage. Also Oman’s proximity to unstable Yemen makes things a little tricky.

Turkey is too secularised, its still a muslim country and better than any kafir country but I would not advise anyone to move there if they can choose a different muslim country

Jazakallahu khairan for another great video. Do you have to buy a property freehold to obtain the lifetime visa, or could it be through a payment plan?

    • @MustafaAliOnline
      @MustafaAliOnline  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

Wa iyak akhi, thank you for your support on the channel!
You can with payment plans also.
However, if it is a payment plan on a project that has NOT yet been built..
Then you won't get residency until it is built (maybe 2-3 years later). Not really ideal.

Thank you very much! Me and my wife are also researching for Hijra and went to Oman in January. Could you share some information about the school system there and more importantly about making friends there? Are there many expats? We loved the country but for us it didn't feel like there are many expats so that it might be a bit lonely. Would be happy to hear about your experiences in that regard

Also what do you do when your uk passport expires? Do you go back to the UK to renew it? Or can you just renew it from Oman? Also what app and credit card do you use to transfer your money from the UK bank to the Oman bank account? Generally if you have a online business that's a bonus these days rather than a 'job' as it's probably tax free is well over their!

I like the country, but as a European used to it with four seasons, Oman is more hotter even UAE
I was in Dubai 2022 on October and once the sunset hit, it was very muggy and steamy I couldn't breathe and my heart had palpitation
If the weather was dry and not muggy and evil, like 110°, I will not mind it but wonder the weather there is like 95% humidity and muggy humidity can look the best city in the world, but I will not live there

I read that in Oman are 85% "muslims", and of these 85% muslims are over 75% not sunnis. If that is true i would never do to such a country hijrah. And no one should either.
