@@lencavallaro6781 The book and the movie don't have that much in common though, in the book Rambo is a complete psychopath who kills everybody with little care for anything

It’s such a great movie ,I live in Vancouver. And HOPE is a great little town. But it made that little town. Such a famous place !!!I Pass through there every time I go camping. And I think of Rambo! It’s so cool to think that little town has such a great Movie that was filmed there. 😎😎😎
Sly genius in each possible aspect and how wise and deep think he have about why Rambo can't die at the end it's amazing that nobody except him not think about that from such point of view
@barrycrosby8602 - That depends on which films were "overacted unrealistic crap" in any period of time and which ones were not. After all, you shouldn't just assume that all films were "overacted unrealistic crap" anyway.
It’s nice to hear the filmmakers give props to the late cinematopher Andrew Lazslo. Other films he photographed were The Warriors, Southern Comfort and The Funhouse. He also lensed the notable concert film The Beatles at Shea Stadium.
Richard Crennas as Trautman was so epic there could of been no other person to play that part the same as Rambo no one could of filled them shoes the same it was a wonderful series of movies I’ll never forget in this life time Sylvester Stallon was golden the best to ever work a movie set
I always wondered how Sly did all of those stunts in such cold, wet weather in just an undershirt! I thought maybe he had a stunt double and did his scenes in a warm, dry studio, but I guess he did most of them himself. That's amazing!
The novel first blood was a very dark story if it would have been made as it was written by David Morrill it would have been a horrible movie and probably would have never been shown ever again after it's release but Sly Stallone knows how to make a great movie and rewrote it and it became a one of the greatest movies ever but they did do a version like David Morrill wrote and if they were going to use that Stallone wanted to buy back the negative and burn it so it would never be seen again, Kirk Douglas was a great actor but I believe it's best that he didn't do it and Richard creena took the role of tratman, Richard creena was best for the role
David morrell, it is a complely different novel for sure, glad sly had the vision to change it up and say "I'm not dying in this" 👍 classic 80s action movies won't be beaten EVER, golden age of action movies, no messaging, no identity politics, just balls to the wall action that we all loved to see.
I watch this movie at least three times a year. I watched Part 2 the other day. I remember loving it in 1985. Now I look at it as absolute trash. First Blood should have been the only one in the Rambo series.
I remember the first time watching First Blood when I was young and starting the Army cadets. This movie really captured me, it was an all time favorite. A powerful albeit obscure reminder of this movie for me, was listening to the acoustic guitar mid section of the Ozzy Osbourne song Diary of a Madman, which had that army sounding marching drum. It's weird how some music evokes the feelings and images of certain periods of time in our lives.
Of all the things they talked about they skipped the part I always wondered about lol ..The arm stitching scene..lol It looked so real, as he stitched with the blood coming out evenly.. I would love to know how that was done, one of the best special effects I remember seeing in television..
My all time favourite film, I have seen it a hundred times. I remember reading a newspaper article many years ago talking about the awful violence and many deaths, it was obviously written by someone who had not seen the movie, Rambo does not kill a single person in this film.
When I was young I was interested in the character Rambo. But as I got older, I became interested in the role of Col. Trautman. Rambo seemed like a child to me and Trautman like an adult. Who puts everything in order.
My all time favorite Stallone movie, First Blood. My second favorite Stallone movie is Rocky (first one). I could watch First Blood daily and not get sick of it. Lol!
They don't make good movies like this anymore. The 80s rocked.
Got that right👍 Barely any “ real “ men left in the industry these days. Thank GoD we still have…🫡STALLONE🇺🇸

The best of the Rambo series.

Sylvester Stallone is the biggest actor of Hollywood and with this movie he became my childhood hero.
I rented First Blood out on VHS so many times back in the day. I have it on Blu ray now. 😊
Richard Crenna was the best
Stallone being a writer at heart makes him a great actor as well.
Very rare.
By far the best Rambo movie ever!!!!
Definitely!!😅
Yes way better than all the rest combined!
Crenna has the stuff that Kirk Douglas never could have hoped to match.

My favourite movie and filming location….amazing film
Took 19 takes for the billy club across the back scene? 19 takes? Can't imagine how hard acting must be.
Oh it is , keeping the continuity is challenging
The music is fantastic as well. The end credit roll with the song playing is very emotional.
