Love the look of this blanket…watching the tutorial, you realize how easy this is to make!! It looks so much more complicated. Thank you for posting. Can’t wait to try it!
Yesss I luv it too n ur tutorial really motivated me to go for it. I have the perfect fall variegated n accent yarn for this pattern. Thank u so much for sharing
Hi Toni, I finally made this blanket for my new grandson! I used the Mandala Harmony in various shades of blue with the white accent. I have yet to block it. The border is a bit loose, causing a ripple. I’m wondering if I should have gone down 1 size hook to make the border. Will the blocking process help with this, or should I take out the border and use a smaller hook? My pictures don’t do the blanket justice. It looks so nice! Thank you for the pattern.
I've been crocheting for 12 years now and this is the first video that made Tunisian crochet make sense to me 😱 I love how it makes the mandala yarn really blend!
Just finished my version of this incredible blanket. I made it bigger and used fall colours. I love that because of the blocks you don't need to count your stitches😊. Thank you so much.
Very late (I finished it last year lol!) but this was the first blanket I ever managed to finish! Such an easy design to work on but looks so beautiful. Every time someone asks for tutorials I always point them to you!
Thanks Toni for a great Tunisian tutorial! I can’t wait to make this beautiful blanket! You are my go-to for Tunisian crochet. Your tutorials are awesome!
My friend’s daughter is having her second child; another boy. I knitted a baby blanket for the first baby. After watching you here, Toni, you’ve given me the courage to make this for the new baby. I’ve never crocheted anything but you make it look like something I can actually get done!!! THANKS
I chose this for my first Tunisian project. I am making it into a scarf. It’s beautiful and such a fun stitch and you are such a great teacher! Thank you so much!
Beautiful! I need to add this to my project list. I love that all of your tutorials go over all the steps so whoever is watching doesn't have to watch a bunch how to videos before they work your project. You're amazing! Thank you for all your hard work!
I love the look of this, with the white blocks and the ombré effect with the yarn. So pretty. I always love your designs and you’re so generous with free patterns. I had a suggestion for a yarn snobs, ordering from jimmy beans/wool warehouse and getting staples like madtosh, malabrigo, manos, like kind of bigger indie dyers (I can’t think of a better term for those brands). For the people who might not be familiar with these fan favorites of the LYS.
Thank you so much for making this a tutorial I was hoping that you would I do much better with showing than reading a pattern so Toni thank you so much for all your tutorials I bought your book but I much prefer your tutorials. Thank you
I agree with other commenters in saying looking forward to make this blanket. The color is gorgeous. It's a beautiful thing to receive something hand made, made with love. Mikey from The Crowded Crowd had a cute way of explaining the Tunisian Simple Stitch. You're making a fence. The return pass is making the fence posts. The forward pass is dropping in the filler between the posts, thus blocking your nosey neighbor from peeking through. Have a wonderful weekend.
Absolutely beautiful blanket I’m going to have to try that but I really came to comment on the absolutely beautiful cat on that beautiful blanket. Orange cats have my heart.
Thank you for the tutorial and sharing. I was struggling to find a pattern that worked with my yarn, in several colors, it's turning out amazing so far, just have to weave in more ends 😬 totally worth it 💓
I crocheted a 50x70 blanket for my daughter using this pattern. First time doing tunisian crochet. Worked up beautifully, then I added a fleece backing to the blanket. Just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful tutorial and pattern! I would love to share pics of my effort but no such functionality here! Thanks again!
Even though I'm not planning on using the Tunisian crochet style I still like to watch your videos bc of your easy to follow instructions and soothing voice.
Dang, you make this look so easy! I had to rewatch the loop stitch several times, until I figured out where I was making it too complicated. I really loved that you showed ALL parts of the project, from the TSS to the bind off to the border, to the trim and especially to the weave in. I've focused on the body on projects in the past, but when you showed all the finishing touches without my having to GO TO ANOTHER VIDEO on generic borders or bind offs or weave ins - I had to watch to the end. It is all there in one place! You must be so bored with repeating the teaching of TSS or weaving in in every project, but since they are all in the same place I will do this project CORRECTLY and not get bored or lazy and just do ... whatever. I am so happy that I discovered your channel! And I am totally converted to Tunisian crochet - it just flows!
I enjoy your simple and effective project, which suits all levels of ability. The part I like mostly is that you get straight into the projects without a lot of silly chit chat and calling out to followers etc. I have done Tunisian simple stitch for about50 years and it has been good to see the other types demonstrated very clearly, as there are not many resources in my district.
I’m new to Tunisian crochet. So far I’ve made a scarf. Without your great and helpful video, I probably would have given up on this pattern. Now I’m enjoying it. Thank you so much!
Thank you for this wonderful design and tutorial! The tutorial makes me feel more confident and excited about making this blanket and trying tunisian crochet!
I started mine yesterday. I'm doing blues for my nephew. My first Tunisian crochet project and I'm relearning crochet with my 9 year old after years of not doing it. Your tutorial is priceless. It gave me the confidence to try this. Thank you!
So much easier than I expected! And it would look so great with any kind of yarn - multicolor, ombre, variegated, or solid. I love that the tutorial square turned into basically a dishcloth - I always love a practice swatch that has a use!
I love this pattern. It's absolutely beautiful and easy to memorize. The slip stitch round on the border is a nice touch visually while also adding some reinforcement to the border in terms of strength. I find that is always a plus when the blanket will be used by babies and todders who can be rough on blankets.
I haven't attempted it yet, but I have never seen a more clear demonstration for crocheting. Your teaching method is great for me! Thank you very much!!!
I just came across this pattern and fell in love with this blanket. Got the yarn and off I'll go making a blanket. Just beautiful. Thanks for the wonderful tutorial.
I started this with a reverse pattern - color change for the boxes, solid on the inside. It made two yarns I didn't really like work nicely together. Thanks for this great pattern. Super adaptable.
I just finished making this blanket for my nephew! This tutorial was so easy to follow. Thanks so much for teaching me how to make my first baby blanket 😊
I just finished making this blanket and it was only my second Tunisian project ever! Your tutorial was so easy to follow and the end result was better than I thought I could do. Thanks so much for your tutorial!
Your crochet instruction videos are awesome, Thank You Toni. I’ve been crocheting for many years, always trying to understand the finer points. I tend to put hook in wrong stitch or miss the end stitch before turning or start a row in wrong stitch. Just can’t seem to get consistently right. I love your specific very detailed closeup views with darning needle actually showing where that next, first or last stitch belongs. I cannot Thank You Enough. I really need those specifics. Thank You. Happy Holidays. Take Care. Stay Safe. LaDonna
Lovely blanket, can’t wait to try it. Here’s a tip for dealing with yarn ends. I never had much luck with weaving in the ends. Instead I use a sharp darning needle and work the ends through stitches or seams, basically splitting the yarn. They’re invisible and you don’t get any surprises of yarn end popping out of the item after it’s washed or handled. The ends practically meld into the stitches they are inserted into. (I hope this makes sense.)
I discovered you a month or so ago and binge watched many of your videos. I’ve been crocheting for decades, but have never tried Tunisian. You inspired me and I’m half way through this baby blanket. It has got to be, with the all the things I’ve made, in my top 5. My husband even says it’s probably one of the nicest things I’ve made. Thanks for inspiration and your clear teaching ability.
You are a wonderful teacher!! Your clear and concise on your instructions, no chit chat🙂thank you for sharing this pattern, I will be giving this a try😊
This is so cute! I was just getting ready to make another one of my go--to baby blankets for a colleague who is expecting, but now I've bought yarn to make this one. Can't wait for it to get here so I can get started! Tunisian crochet is so fun, and you're such a great teacher! Thanks for sharing!
This is my first time doing Tunisian crochet and I love this pattern. So I'm going to try it. I'm normally a crochet person, but I wanna try out Tunisian. It looks pretty.

@@karencrochet1109 I'm wondering if your blocking did help the border? I'm about to make it and am curious as to how your's came out :)
Thanks!
you are by far the best teacher ive ever seen on youtube
When I saw the title of the video, I thought it would be complicated. But you make it so easy to understand and follow. ❤
I've fell in love with tunisian crochet thanks to your videos. Thank you for your clear instructions.

I've never don't any Tunisian crochet, but this looks so fun!!!
I love your style. Very few wordy repeats, and you credit me with some sense. Thank you, Toni
This might just be the best tutorial on TH-cam! The way you explain the stitches along with the very clear video was spot on🌼

Fantastically clear. You’re a great teacher, thank you.
I need more beginner-friendly Tunisian and normal beginner tutorials.
Absolutely beautiful blanket I’m going to have to try that but I really came to comment on the absolutely beautiful cat on that beautiful blanket. Orange cats have my heart.
This video was very well done. The speed of the crochet, the way the stitches you need to work in are pointed out, the explanation are all very clear

Interesting pattern. The instructions are clearly explained and showing exactly which loops to pick up was/ is very helpful. Well done.
I'm so glad the instructions are clear. I'm constantly trying to make sure of that :-)
I am currently working on one of these for my boy! I am using the color Mantra. I am loving it!
You are a wonderful teacher!! Your clear and concise on your instructions, no chit chat🙂thank you for sharing this pattern, I will be giving this a try😊
Your tutorial is so very clear and easy to understand. Thank you.
I'm new to Tunisian crocheting but this looks like a project I can tackle. Thank you
Currently working on my little ones blanket after watching your video. My first time doing Tunisian crochet and I love it. Thank you for this video!!!

I just received my kit and cannot wait to get started. I'm new at tunisian crochet and this will be my first project.
This is a sweetheart of a blanket! I have my new Tunisian crochet hooks so I'm going to try this next. Thanks for the pattern and tutorial!
Hi,Toni I am new to Tunisian crochet and I just love it ,my first project is this blanket,I enjoyed making it.My first of many projects. You explain instructions very clearly for me.
I love how you explain everything.
So cute. I was inspired by Toni and her book to do Tunisian crochet, I bought the hooks and now I know what the first thing I will make its this. She is the best tutor I have found on TH-cam and so cheerful and inspiring.
Oh my goodness! This is beautiful. Thank you for your amazing, skilled instruction! I’m looking forward to making this soon!
I'm mainly a knitter, but I do crochet blankets. Your tutorials have made me fall in love with Tunisian crochet. It's so beautiful and incredibly easy to do. You are a wonderful designer. Thank you for sharing your pattern!
Love the look of the baby blanket.
I've never done Tunisian crochet but I love the look of this baby blanket. So pretty and modern and unlike any baby blanket pattern I've seen. I have 3 baby blankets to make for expectant family and friends. So I bought the kit and with your excellent instructions I'm looking forward to making this. What fun!
Thank you for this beautiful pattern and easy to follow instructions. ❤
Update: I've finished my blanket! I love it. I used the color called mantra which is various shades of blues and greens. So beautiful! It was a bit challenging since I had never done Tunisian crochet before but with such excellent instruction I managed it quite well. It was fun and I learned a new skill. I'm definitely going to be making 2 more in different colors for the other 2 babies friends are having. Thank you TL.
I have just order the kit aswell never done it before but looks pretty straight forward gonna give it a bash 0:30
Now this is something I can try... 🤨 I love the outcome...
I always wanted to try Tunisian crochet and can't wait to start this project!
This blanket is so pretty. I just love your tutorials, as they are easy to follow. Thank you!❤
They're so well done!
Thanks to your wonderful and logical tutorial, I think I can do this. You are an amazing instructor!
Love this pattern. I just finished it a couple of weeks ago. I made it larger as it is for a young child using primary colored multi-striped yarn and the contrast in a dark amethyst. It worked up beautifully! Thank you for this video!
I did a sample with worsted yarns I had--like it very much, on blocking mat right now. I hadn't considered doing a baby blanket but got message from my friend's daughter that she is expecting so have considered a lot of patterns. I have some weird thing about 'crochety' looking work--probably because I'm a retired pro dyer/weaver--and prefer sort of architectural pieces and color work so Tunisian and overlay mosaic are my crochet things. Planning to do this now if I am happy enough with wrong side look (I know, I know--having knitted with my own handspun years ago, know knitting has its wrong side issues too). You got me interested in Tunisian, bought your book and have tried a lot of stitches and combos of them, have completed several largish projects in regular crochet--bought the Knitters Pride bamboo set, have added some Ginger hooks to fill in hook sizes, bought the colored cable set, and added a swivel cable--and am happy with the set now. This will be the first large Tunisian project I've done--and have learned practice/test swatches help me a lot--and your good directions. Learned to weave and dye from books (back in the day LOL) and experimenting (my thing has always been--what happens if I do this) but videos are really a boon to learning correct techniques for sure.
This is beautiful! You are an amazing teacher!! I love your clear instructions, beautiful video shots and fun nails. Thank you for sharing your amazing talents! I look forward to making this.♡
This was fun to watch! I learnt how to change colors in Tunisian Crochet! Yes, 👌🏾. I love the Waffle stitch look of the front and the very knit look of the back. Thank you, thank you for this tutorial! 💕🙏🏾
Thanks Toni for this brilliant lesson, I never tried Tunisian crochet but must try this, I work left handed so wish me luck
And I need to start looking into a Tunisian set... this is so pretty
Off topic....your nails are cute. Nice blanket. Looks easy. I'm going to try it.
You explain it so clearly and easy to learn !

That is so pretty. You keep such wonderful patterns to show us how to crochet. Lovely colours also.
Hi this is a beautiful blanket it in my bucket list going to make it for my little grand baby coming soon
Toni, you are such a great teacher!!!
😃👍🏻👍🏻
You have a very friendly voice with a calm and relaxed delivery! You explain each aspect clearly and concisely, and you carefully point out tiny parts of the stitches that we would not see otherwise. I enjoy your tutorials so much! 💕
wow this is So easy and so gorgeous! I do not give such praise lightly! So impressed. I've done my part by buying through the links YOU KEEP'EM COMING!
Your directions are the best ❣️☮️❣️💟❣️✝️❣️
You have gotten me so excited to start Tunisian Crochet! I had been waiting for the Aliexpress hooks to arrive (they were on preorder for me in Canada) and I finally got them this week. I have been following this tutorial to make a baby blanket for my sister in law's second baby on the way
