Such lovely & delicate work! Thank you Rebekah! I'm so happy to see that you have introduced Tunisian crochet on your channel. Once discovered, I could not put it aside. The simplicity of the basic stitches make it accessible to a complete novice. With little more one can create fabric with the stretch and texture of knitting, yet worked with a hook like crochet. Thanks for giving my favourite fibre art a boost!

A lot of people don't like doing the Tunisian simple stitch because the fabric curls so much from the bottom. I've found a way to almost eliminate this issue completely is to do this.... Instead of ONLY going through the vertical stitch, go through the vertical stitch AND the front loop of the top stitch right after the vertical stitch, then pull up your loop on your hook.

Regardless of the halo your worried about with that subtle rainbow-colored yarn, the shine in it makes it very easy to see with the light for filming. It was also manufactured with a very nice twist that appears to be very consistent, another point in its favor . . . That is, until I saw that crazy rainbow colored stick! My eyes definitely would have felt drunk trying to follow along! Lol

Where did you get your gorgeous hook?
Thank you for the lesson. I’m brand new to Tunisian and I’m still very much in the learning stage. Looking forward to giving this a try.

I only started crocheting at the start of the first lockdown but can you tell me what is the difference between normal crochet hooks and Tunisian crochet hooks please

Tunisian crochet hoos are usually longer (approximately 10 - 14 inches ) or have a cable like circular knitting needles.
