    Your companion videos are so helpful! I was just starting column 2 and thought my join didn’t look right. Thanks for showing so clearly how to do it ☺️

    Wish you continued to show how you finished with the loose ends. The small sample needs to demonstrate the yarn carried over on the wrong side finished.

    I may try making this in strips & then joining the individual strips & then a border to finish the project. I need a portable project that's not individual squares. 🤞 It works 😊

    Hello, I love this blanket. I have looked at so many other patterns for a blanket like this and yours is by far the best. I am a beginner so I hope I can make it. I’m unsure if I can get the exact yarn. Hopefully I can find a good substitute. Thank you very much for the tutorial. It made it very clear how to make this blanket. It is kind of funny that that blanket has my name. 😊

      Thank you! Curling is a common issue with some stitches in Tunisian crochet- one way to deal with it is to block your project. I steam block and when I feel OTT I would do it half way through the project too 🤣🤣. I have a video tutorial that dives deeper into this topic:

    I love this pattern and I’m excited to attempt it. Is it possible to make a 50x60 and if so how much yarn will I need? Thanks

    • @exquisitecrochetuk
      @exquisitecrochetuk  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you! The safest way to adjust the yardage is to make a swatch to see how much yarn you need per square that is in solid colour and calculate that up to the full size. The amount of extra yarn will change based on your gauge and what type of yarn you will use. I wouldn’t want to mislead you by giving you a figure that may be too little or too much a waste your time and resources. Happy to help with the calculations after swatching.

    Could you confirm for me if the written pattern is different than in the part in 18:40 where you connect to the 1st column? Example, if I am reading correct, I use the yarn A to yrh and pul, then drop A. In the video it seems that you drop yarn A and use yarn B to do yrh and pul?

    Bonjour et merci pour ce tuto.
    Je vous conseillerais pour les personnes qui ne comprennent pas votre langue, de faire un muet.

    How do I stop the blanket form curling up at the bottom and top? I made sure to work the forawrd pass into the back bumps of the chain stitch.

    • @exquisitecrochetuk
      @exquisitecrochetuk  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for your question, it is just the nature of Tunisian crochet- it curls a bit. However there are ways to ameliorate this, my number one technique is blocking. I have a deep dive video into this here:

    Thank you so much for this pattern.. Could you please answer a question why do you add the extra 2 stitches when adding the second row, I am new to tunisian crochering. Thank you

    • @exquisitecrochetuk
      @exquisitecrochetuk  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hello Sharon, so you mean for the second panel? If yes it is because of the width.. working the same amount of stitches for the second panel made it a bit narrower and I wanted to maintain the measurements throughout for it to be visually pleasing. My pleasure 😊💖.

    I’m new to Tunisian Crochet but i’m going to try to make this throw. I’ve made several squares and I’m finally coming up with 4x4 squares consistently. What I need to know is when I chain 20 how many inches should it be. Thank you

    • @exquisitecrochetuk
      @exquisitecrochetuk  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! I hope you will enjoy the pattern. Chains will be a bit wider (because they are a bit more stretchy) than 20 stitches, which will measure about 7.3 inches. Hope this helps.

    how big is the biggest blanket project you can do with a tunisian hook? I need 2 by 2 meters blanket and I am afraid I won't be able to hold the loops on the hook for it (even if it has a 1.2m cable)

    • @exquisitecrochetuk
      @exquisitecrochetuk  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can make any size of a project for Tunisian crochet. There are extendable cables that you can join together. Also, you can pack many more loops on your cable, so for 2 meter wide project you don’t need 2 m long cable, generally you can pack double the loops on a length. Hope this helps.

    • @exquisitecrochetuk
      @exquisitecrochetuk  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can try to block it with steam, that usually does the trick for me or add a few rows of border around it.

    • @roobcoffey6340
      @roobcoffey6340 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      when I do a border I use two threads it makes a nice thick border. I also block it. I have seen people recommend doing a pearl row at the beginning

    Why do you change your colour on the last stitch on end stitch of forward pass n not on the first stitch of backward pass?

    • @jesoko6724
      @jesoko6724 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it looks like it's because of where her tension puts the stitches. The right edge stitches are slightly below the rest of the row, so for her the colors might line up better when she changes colors in the last stitch of the forward pass rather than the first stitch of the return. Otherwise, she might end up with a right edge that alternates colors differently than the bulk of her work. It might just be for aesthetics.
      Alternatively, it might feel more secure to her to change in the last stitch rather than the first. Some people don't color change using this type of method because they have a hard time controlling their tension -- this just might be the way it feels most secure to her while not having to make a cut or a knot.

      There was no specific reason other than that I liked the way it looked. You could do either as per your preference.
