I got my Bryna yesterday and I love it. It's powerful and it has a good aim. I have never shot anything before and I was at least 20 ft away and hit my target really well. Thanks for your videos.

Powerful?? That’s funny. My friends and I spent an evening shooting each other all night long while drinking, when I first bought this piece of shit. We laughed all night. It’s not powerful, it’s the weakest less lethal going on the market. Do some research and you’ll find out. This is a dangerously inefficient less lethal marker. I am no tough guy, so if I can take a half a dozen solid rounds and laugh through it, so will the tough guy. and forget about the pepper ball rounds. It’s just dust that blows away when you get shot. It’s not like pepper spray. Unless you hit someone in the head, neck or nuts - this is not going to deter a criminal. Get an FSC or a VKS.

This is the first non lethal alternative for self defense that I've felt comfortable to carry. It hits hard and if you use good shot placement.. I could diffently deter or incapacitated an attacker. What's up TH-cam. At the beginning of the video I said, you can buy 25 of the solid plastic balls for 25 dollars. I meant to say, for 25 dollars you get 95 of the solid plastic balls. Also, when I said pepper spray, I should have said, "pepper powder". The red and green balls don't have liquid in them. The pepper balls have powder in them that burst upon impact. For those of you looking for a non lethal means of self-defense, this may be a good choice. Nothing is a 100 percent when it comes to self-defense. A lot of factors weigh in. But if I didn't have a firearm, this is a great alternative! Not only does it provide distance between you and your attacker, but if used correctly (meaning striking center mass) seems to be very effective. I studied several videos on the effectiveness of this launcher and was very impressed! Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer to have a firearm in a self-defense situation, but if it was a choice between this or a container of pepper spray... I'd choose the Byrna HD in a heart beat! The concept is excellent but there are still many reports of the Byrna failing to fire, jamming and the plastic top of the magazine breaking easily. This despite the fact that Byrna insists that it has corrected these problems. There seem to be significant quality control issues as well as poor customer service. I would live to have this but it is too unreliable yet.
After talking to a Byrna representative I can tell you these are manufactured and assembled in South Africa then shipped to Indiana for testing and shipped from there. Launcher and Launcher kits are taking 10+ weeks, Ammo. and accessories take about 2 weeks to ship.

I am exactly the same way. I am 55 years old. I have pulled my weapons on 3 different people with 3 totally different situations. Each time for different reasons. Each time the attacker must have valued their lives because I didnt have to shoot anyone. Although I am very calm and very steady and do not panic, ever. The attacker has to make the decision of life or death because in each incident I would have shot the attacker if they would have come out me any closer than they did in each different time . I value life and would never ever hurt anyone intentionally for no reason. Amen to how you are. People are way different now a days and have NO RESPECT on life.
Thank God the attackers back off and you didn't have use your weapon! I've had similar experiences over the years, but I've never had to fire my weapon. Just displaying that I had the ability to defend myself was enough to deter the bad guys. No sane person wants to unnecessarily take a life. Even in a self defense situation. That's why I like the Byrna HD launcher. It gives me another option for self-defense. No that there is any wrong with having a firearm for self-defense, but it's nice to have other options also. I can say you were very insightful, I saw 4 different videos on the Bryna and they all gave it credit. Only one complained, your number 4 of 5 proving it's worth the money.
I gotta admit it is a little pricey. We purchased our kits for about $350 each. A decent budget firearm is going to run you about, $300 plus in the states. With the exception of the Taurus g2c, which you can sometimes find on sell for under $300. Whether or not to buy a Byrna HD launcher is a personal decision. For me it fits a niche in my self-defense collection. The Byrna HD launcher will not replace a firearm. It's not meant to. This is just an alternative to using a firearm. Non lethal force. I use the term force, because you're forcing someone, who has the intent of committing a crime against you/bodily harm, not to. I'd say, check out what others are saying about it. I got my byrna about a week ago. Just waiting to get more cylinders, also got some solid shot for practice. Not comfortable with a firearm but was wanting something for protection. Got one in orange just so it doesn't get confused with a gun, could cause a problem maybe.

Great video I own two of these one for the house and one for my truck. You're definitely correct on puncturing the CO2 on safety. I've practiced it both ways several times on plywood And that first shot is much weaker than the second when you puncture on first round. Again great job keep the videos coming.

This is a great option for those looking for a non lethal means of self-defense. I'd prefer this over a canister of pepper spray any day of the week! It looks intimidating! And that could (if one had to draw it in a self-defense situation) discouraged a would be attacker. In my opinion, that's a win win. You, deterring the attacker and not getting hurt or worse. The attacker, not getting seriously injured. There is definitely a chance of serious injury with this non lethal launcher. If one got hit in the face... Wow! I wouldn't want to be that person. Accurate, hard hitting and I like having the option of kinetic, pepper rounds or a combination of both. Not the greatest for tactical reloads, but not a deal breaker for me. Hey redzone. I have a byrna and love it. But I just received my umarex .50 cal TR50 revolver. Man it really packs a wallop! Only $99. I have it loaded with umarex pepper balls and kinetic balls for home defense and use rubber balls for practice shooting. I put over a hundred rounds through it so far and No misfires. I put a green dot laser on it. Keep up the good work. 👍

I have one on the way. Couple questions (if you’ve tried): 1. Can you mix-match the round in the magazine (2 kinetic rounds, 3 Max rounds) 2. Have you tried a mag dump and a quick reloading sequence ? If so - were you able to eject a spent mag and reload quickly? 3. If you practice w the kinetic rounds using an old mattress, pillow, or cardboard box- can you reuse them? 4. How do you “oil” it ? Thanks
How's it Yes, you can mix and max rounds. When I load my Byrna for carry, I load two to three pepper balls and the rest with the kinetic hard plastic balls. My first two shots (hard plastic balls) are to cause shock! Hopefully the attacker will think that he's been shot with a firearm, due to pain inflicted by the first few rounds and stop his/her attack. If the attacker continues, my remaining rounds are pepper balls. Two to three pepper balls center mass should be enough to cause any attacker to stop. If you can't see or breath do to irritation, you probably won't be able to continue attacking. Hopefully. As far as a mag dump... Not bad for a c02 powered defense tool. It's not going to be as fast as a traditional semi auto pistol, but follow up shots can be attained fairly quickly. As for reusing rounds that have been fired... If I were to shot the kinetic rounds (not the pepper rounds, might burst upon impact) at a pillow, maybe. It's not advisable. If a projective deforms upon impact it could jam your launcher. I definitely would not use spent rounds for self-defense. As for oiling your launcher Byrna makes a kit for that. You can also buy the c02 package they offer and one of the c02s in the package has oil in it. Not a bad deal. If you use all the c02s in the package/box the launcher gets oiled. 1) Yes, you can mix n match the rounds. That how I do it, works well 2) I carry an extra mag, super easy to remove one/load one. 3) I hung a blanket with a bucket underneath. As long as the kinetics aren't damaged/dirty, you can reuse them. 4) You can purchase an oiler kit or buy the 10 pack of CO2, the 10th one is an oiler and lubes the whole launcher.

I've found that you get the best power/effectiveness with the first three mags. With the first three mags the power output is pretty consistent. I normally don't get more than four mags per cartige. Hopefully this was helpful Thanksfor watching. Stay safe and healthy. Peace

Great video on the Byrna. I waiting on my order. Can you make a video showing the power (fps) without puncturing the c02 first Just straight fire so we can see the difference between both methods, also about how far was you from your targets?
How's it going. That's not a bad idea. I'll consider that on my next vid. When I normally practice, I practice at room distance, which is where most self-defense encounters occur. Anywhere from 10 to 30 ft. You can shoot further, but I think this c02 launcher Is most effective at these ranges. I'd post another video showing the power without puncturing the c02 first. Yes, the pepper/tear gas/powder balls are illegal in Michigan. Well, that's the way that I interpreted it from Byrna rep. The rep. said, they couldn't ship the pepper/tear gas balls to Michigan. I have one on the way.....Ordered a few weeks ago but on back order.......Few questions.....I know you said it is better to puncture canister 1st but if you dont how much power on 1st shot......Question 2......The oil CO2 is that one able to be shot like the others for self defense or is it only for oiling it.....I plan on doing 2 of the Byna Max and 1 Kenetic Round and then 2 more Byrna Max rounds in case they have a real pistol somewhere I want to make sure they can't see and dont have air to fight 1st or pull their weapon out or get to their weapon......Thanks
That's a good question. I'll try that on my next vid. I'll load up the oil c02 and we'll see what happens. We've (my wife and I) have had ours now for a little over a month. I've put about 75 rounds through mine. No a single problem. I don't plan on using this as a range gun, but more like a canister of pepper spray. I prefer the Mission PROTX TPR. The CO2 cartridge is bigger at 12 grams and greater velocity. The Launcher is a bit longer so it's not suitable for Concealed Carry. But, you can have it readily available for car and home defense. It's on my wish list for me and my family. 💯👍👍😁😁

I believe that magazine easily ejecting the projectiles is a design flaw. I would encourage the company to redesign it to prevent that from happening. What would be the point in having multiple mags if you're only relying in the mag inserted?
I personally like the versatility of the Byrna HD launcher. In my main magazine I loaded with kinetic/pepper rounds. The other two, one is loaded with kinetic and the third is loaded with pepper only. The size of the Byrna HD is easy to conceal carry also (Just my opinion) Thanks for watching. I hope this helps. Thank you for your useful videos. Can I ask: is it possible to have 6 balls in the Byrna at one time? I saw you eject a full magazine, and you pointed out that one ball gets automatically loaded into the chamber (you had to push the top button to eject that ball separately). If you ejected the magazine, left that ball in the chamber, added another ball to the magazine and tried re-inserting the full magazine... would you then be able to have six balls ready for firing?

@@EyesWideOpen2 Good point. The rep I spoke to at Byrna, told me each time you use the Byrna HD, it's best not to leave the cartridge in for more than one use. After the first trigger pull, whether you fire one mag or empty the cartridge completely. When you carry the Byrna HD it's always best to have a fresh cartridge in for optimum performance. I like the PPQ Ram T4E with 2.2 gram pvc/ball bearing riot balls going at around 355 FPS. It’s smaller, holds more projectiles, but you have to be a lil closer. Still, I tested the regular pvc/nylon riot balls on myself, and there’s no way I’d be able to resist, even at 20 ft. It’s NOT like getting hit with a paintball, the pain is overwhelming. 8 will change anyone’s mind, a headshot would render someone unconscious.
How it going. I don't have much experience with the PPQ Ram T4E, but if it works for you. Amen. My Byrna HD from 15 to 20 ft can put marble size dents in my sheet metal airgun targets even on the third mag. That's enough for my intended purpose. Personally, I wouldn't want to get hit with either one! Lol. It would be nice if the mags held more, but than the launcher would have to be bigger. And that's one of the reasons that I chose the Byrna. I like the size and concealability. Where can I buy this gun for home defence? I don't want pepper spray in my home, that could incapacitate me as well as the intruder. I know Russia has a rubber gun it's only sold to police officers currently in Arizona. The gun holds 4 rubber projectiles.
Outside of having a faulty clip and the thing will sometimes misfire or jam with that clip. Nice piece though and review, even if the other person is armed this will get them off you fast .

This is something you use on a drunk brother in law. A drunk, or road raging person. Yeah, Someone, on drugs with a club or knife - no way. Lethal force comes in at a club, knife level. I watched videos of the fsc pistol and seen someone tuning it to increase power. Can you do that with this pistol? I seen a lot of complaints about the byrna which is a shame because I really would like to get this instead of the fsc. Do you still like it has it caused you any problems? When it comes to my life I want to make sure it’s trustworthy lol.
Have you come across the trigger "sticking" or not firing? I've seen other reviews where that was a problem. i have spoke yo Byrna and they said that problem was resolved. Just wondering if it has happened to you since your video is so new.
So far the only problem I've had was when I tried to reuse a Kinetic round that I had previously fired. Launcher would not fire. Didn't damage the launcher, but it wouldn't fire. As far as the trigger, mine isn't a target trigger, but for what it is, it works just fine.
Pepperball TCP is a much better option. Fresh gas in each magazine which means full power on each reload. Really nice trigger feel, no feeding issues and massively customizable.

I order mine but ended up canceling since I live in California and they can’t send pepper balls I would of still ended up getting it but I saw a review where someone got shot with the kinetic balls and they didn’t even leave a mark they just bounced off there jacket
You can get the pepper tear gas balls in california if you take their 8hrs class on line its more informitive than anything else. You have 90 days to pass it 99 trys and they do give you the correct answers if you miss the question. Costs is about 40.00
Gonna definitely get myself one of these for my car & one for my fiancé i’m addition to our CCW weapons cause many times we both felt threatened & living in a bad part of LA west hollywood actually the homeless can get really aggressive and of course we understand but no one has the right to try opening our car door they get too close and we don’t want to pull out or real gun do having this available to back them off is great. we even had loose dogs try to attack us while walking our dog & we are not violent people at all so we been wanting a defense non lethal option to use before drawing our weapon. I don’t see why not cause I would do that instead of loading all pepper balls I would do the first 2 rounds the hard plastic 2 pepper then the last round hard plastic. As a kick boxer for already 20 years and I still train with my fiancé at the UFC gym we believe in and tbh rather handle a situation with our hands and feet anyday since we are fit to do so cause when you use your hands to fight you always live to fight another day but I know some people who resort to weapons right away which is sad unless you are old or what I hear from most fat ass guys that since they love to eat before being healthy they say if they feel threatened in any way they are just gonna pull a gun cause they feel they can’t defend without it which is just sad tbh. I’m glad and rather handle a situation with my hands & feet before pulling my knife or gun but that’s the world we live in now & I hope people who can’t fight at all or scared to will buy one of these non lethal guns in addition to their real one.
How's it going. The only place that I know of that sells them are Byrna. You might find something similar on line, but they might not work as well. That said... If the pepper/tear gas projectiles are prohibited in your state, I'd reconsider trying to get them. If you had to use them in a self-defense situation, you might be setting yourself up for some serious legal trouble. Just saying. I mean, you do you, but I wouldn't chance it. How it going. At that time my primary was a Taurus G2c and my back up was a Ruger lcp 22lr. I switch up from time to time. Sometimes I carry my Glock 17 Gen 3 as my primary and a Remington RM380 as a backup. I've had very good experience with reliability with these firearms. This works well for me. There are paintball guns capable of shooting full metal first strike rounds at 300+ fps. We are talking about a non deforming round carrying 60+ joules and stabilized by rifled barels.

If they have a gun and all you have is the byrna, you will not win that fight. Shooting them with byrna probably gives you a slight chance to give away. Just saying.
Dude this is a great alternative for self-defense. Although it's consider non lethal, this could do some considerable damage to an attacker. A few shots of this launcher to the chest, neck or facial area, would be (in my humble opinion) very effective! And that's just using the Kinetic projectiles. just my own opinion about this thing, but if you started shooting me with one of those i might not know it was non-lethal in time to stop my counterattack against what i'd probably perceive to be a lethal weapon being fired at me. maybe they should paint it bright orange or something at least. similarly what would bystanders think when they see you shooting people with this thing ... just things that come to my mind.

Powerful?? That’s funny. My friends and I spent an evening shooting each other all night long while drinking, when I first bought this piece of shit. We laughed all night. It’s not powerful, it’s the weakest less lethal going on the market. Do some research and you’ll find out. This is a dangerously inefficient less lethal marker. I am no tough guy, so if I can take a half a dozen solid rounds and laugh through it, so will the tough guy. and forget about the pepper ball rounds. It’s just dust that blows away when you get shot. It’s not like pepper spray. Unless you hit someone in the head, neck or nuts - this is not going to deter a criminal. Get an FSC or a VKS.

This is the first non lethal alternative for self defense that I've felt comfortable
to carry. It hits hard and if you use good shot placement..

At the beginning of the video I said, you can buy 25 of the solid plastic balls for 25 dollars.
I meant to say, for 25 dollars you get 95 of the solid plastic balls. Also, when I said pepper spray, I should have said, "pepper powder".
The red and green balls don't have liquid in them. The pepper balls have powder in them that burst upon impact.
For those of you looking for a non lethal
means of self-defense, this may be a good choice. Nothing is a 100 percent when it comes to self-defense.
A lot of factors weigh in. But if I didn't have a firearm, this is a great alternative! Not only does it provide distance between
you and your attacker, but if used correctly (meaning striking center mass) seems to be very effective. I studied several videos
on the effectiveness of this launcher and was very impressed!
Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer to have a firearm in a self-defense situation, but if it was a choice between this or a container of pepper spray...
I'd choose the Byrna HD in a heart beat!
That said, the best means of self-defense is awareness of your surroundings.

Think this would make a good small "concealed carry"? Very hard to get a firearm where i live.
The concept is excellent but there are still many reports of the Byrna failing to fire, jamming and the plastic top of the magazine breaking easily. This despite the fact that Byrna insists that it has corrected these problems. There seem to be significant quality control issues as well as poor customer service. I would live to have this but it is too unreliable yet.
I purchase some non Berna HD rounds rubber they work just as great as the ones that come in the kit

After talking to a Byrna representative I can tell you these are manufactured and assembled in South Africa then shipped to Indiana for testing and shipped from there. Launcher and Launcher kits are taking 10+ weeks, Ammo. and accessories take about 2 weeks to ship.

I am exactly the same way. I am 55 years old. I have pulled my weapons on 3 different people with 3 totally different situations.
Each time for different reasons. Each time the attacker must have valued their lives because I didnt have to shoot anyone.
Although I am very calm and very steady and do not panic, ever. The attacker has to make the decision of life or death because in each incident I would have shot the attacker if they would have come out me any closer than they did in each different time .
I value life and would never ever hurt anyone intentionally for no reason.

I can say you were very insightful, I saw 4 different videos on the Bryna and they all gave it credit. Only one complained, your number 4 of 5 proving it's worth the money.
I gotta admit it is a little pricey.
We purchased our kits for about $350 each.
A decent budget firearm is going to run you about,
$300 plus in the states. With the exception of the Taurus g2c,
which you can sometimes find on sell for under $300.
Whether or not to buy a Byrna HD launcher is a personal decision.
For me it fits a niche in my self-defense collection.
The Byrna HD launcher will not replace a firearm.
It's not meant to. This is just an alternative to using a
firearm. Non lethal force.
I use the term force, because you're forcing someone, who has the
intent of committing a crime against you/bodily harm, not to.
I'd say, check out what others are saying about it. Pros and cons
and decide if it's right for you.

I got my byrna about a week ago. Just waiting to get more cylinders, also got some solid shot for practice. Not comfortable with a firearm but was wanting something for protection. Got one in orange just so it doesn't get confused with a gun, could cause a problem maybe.

Great video I own two of these one for the house and one for my truck. You're definitely correct on puncturing the CO2 on safety. I've practiced it both ways several times on plywood And that first shot is much weaker than the second when you puncture on first round. Again great job keep the videos coming.

Mine works great! Accurate, hard hitting and I like having the
option of kinetic, pepper rounds or a combination of both.
Not the greatest for tactical reloads, but not a deal breaker for me.
In most self-defense situation you aren't really looking at
tactical reload.
Still, I'd prefer this over mace.

Hey redzone. I have a byrna and love it. But I just received my umarex .50 cal TR50 revolver. Man it really packs a wallop! Only $99. I have it loaded with umarex pepper balls and kinetic balls for home defense and use rubber balls for practice shooting. I put over a hundred rounds through it so far and No misfires. I put a green dot laser on it. Keep up the good work. 👍

Couple questions (if you’ve tried):
1. Can you mix-match the round in the magazine (2 kinetic rounds, 3 Max rounds)
2. Have you tried a mag dump and a quick reloading sequence ? If so - were you able to eject a spent mag and reload quickly?
3. If you practice w the kinetic rounds using an old mattress, pillow,
or cardboard box- can you reuse them?
4. How do you “oil” it ?

Yes, you can mix and max rounds.
When I load my Byrna for carry, I load two to three pepper balls and the rest with the
kinetic hard plastic balls. My first two shots (hard plastic balls) are to cause shock!
Hopefully the attacker will think that he's been shot with a firearm, due to pain inflicted by the first few rounds and stop his/her attack.
If the attacker continues, my remaining rounds are pepper balls. Two to three pepper balls center mass should be enough to cause any
attacker to stop. If you can't see or breath do to irritation, you probably won't be able to continue attacking. Hopefully.
As far as a mag dump... Not bad for a c02 powered defense tool.
It's not going to be as fast as a traditional semi auto pistol, but follow up
shots can be attained fairly quickly.
As for reusing rounds that have been fired...
If I were to shot the kinetic rounds (not the pepper rounds, might burst upon impact) at a pillow, maybe.
It's not advisable. If a projective deforms upon impact it could jam your launcher.
I definitely would not use spent rounds for self-defense.
As for oiling your launcher Byrna makes a kit for that.
You can also buy the c02 package they offer and one of the c02s in the package has oil in it.
Not a bad deal. If you use all the c02s in the package/box the launcher gets oiled.

1) Yes, you can mix n match the rounds. That how I do it, works well
2) I carry an extra mag, super easy to remove one/load one.
3) I hung a blanket with a bucket underneath. As long as the kinetics aren't damaged/dirty, you can reuse them.
4) You can purchase an oiler kit or buy the 10 pack of CO2, the 10th one is an oiler and lubes the whole launcher.

I've found that you get the best power/effectiveness with the
first three mags. With the first three mags the power output
is pretty consistent.

encounters occur. Anywhere from 10 to 30 ft. You can shoot further, but I think this c02 launcher

I have one on the way.....Ordered a few weeks ago but on back order.......Few questions.....I know you said it is better to puncture canister 1st but if you dont how much power on 1st shot......Question 2......The oil CO2 is that one able to be shot like the others for self defense or is it only for oiling it.....I plan on doing 2 of the Byna Max and 1 Kenetic Round and then 2 more Byrna Max rounds in case they have a real pistol somewhere I want to make sure they can't see and dont have air to fight 1st or pull their weapon out or get to their weapon......Thanks

what happens. We've (my wife and I) have had ours now for a little over a month.
I've put about 75 rounds through mine. No a single problem. I don't plan on using this as
a range gun, but more like a canister of pepper spray. I'll probably practice once or ever other month,
keep it oiled and in good condition, so when and if I need it, I'll be ready.

I prefer the Mission PROTX TPR. The CO2 cartridge is bigger at 12 grams and greater velocity. The Launcher is a bit longer so it's not suitable for Concealed Carry. But, you can have it readily available for car and home defense. It's on my wish list for me and my family. 💯👍👍😁😁

Don’t buy this worthless, ineffective piece of garbage. Get a VKS or an FSC. my friends and I have shot each other with this marker and it doesn’t do shit. It’s laughable.

I believe that magazine easily ejecting the projectiles is a design flaw. I would encourage the company to redesign it to prevent that from happening. What would be the point in having multiple mags if you're only relying in the mag inserted?
If you need to reload. Than either the rounds are not effective or you are in way too much trouble for the launcher to save you.
I am debating between the Salt Pepper Spray model and the RedZone. Any suggestions?
I personally like the versatility of the Byrna HD launcher.
In my main magazine I loaded with kinetic/pepper
rounds. The other two, one is loaded with kinetic and
the third is loaded with pepper only.
The size of the Byrna HD is easy to conceal carry also

Thank you for your useful videos. Can I ask: is it possible to have 6 balls in the Byrna at one time? I saw you eject a full magazine, and you pointed out that one ball gets automatically loaded into the chamber (you had to push the top button to eject that ball separately). If you ejected the magazine, left that ball in the chamber, added another ball to the magazine and tried re-inserting the full magazine... would you then be able to have six balls ready for firing?

to work once. The other times the launcher jam!

I'm greatful that I've never had to use any of my firearms for anything except target practice.

The rep I spoke to at Byrna, told me each time you use
the Byrna HD, it's best not to leave the cartridge in for more than one use.
After the first trigger pull, whether you fire one mag or
empty the cartridge completely.
When you carry the Byrna HD it's always best to
have a fresh cartridge in for optimum performance.
As for releasing the rest of the remaining gas...
I've found its best to release the gas slowly.

Once the cartridge is punctured, you can't store it. If you do, it won't function properly until you place a fresh cartridge in
I like the PPQ Ram T4E with 2.2 gram pvc/ball bearing riot balls going at around 355 FPS. It’s smaller, holds more projectiles, but you have to be a lil closer. Still, I tested the regular pvc/nylon riot balls on myself, and there’s no way I’d be able to resist, even at 20 ft. It’s NOT like getting hit with a paintball, the pain is overwhelming. 8 will change anyone’s mind, a headshot would render someone unconscious.

My Byrna HD from 15 to 20 ft can put marble size dents in my sheet metal airgun targets even on the third mag.
That's enough for my intended purpose. Personally, I wouldn't want to get hit with either one! Lol.
It would be nice if the mags held more, but than the launcher would have to be bigger. And that's one of the reasons
that I chose the Byrna. I like the size and concealability. And being a to launch solid projectiles and projectiles filled with pepper powder
is a big plus in my opinion.

Where can I buy this gun for home defence? I don't want pepper spray in my home, that could incapacitate me as well as the intruder.
I know Russia has a rubber gun it's only sold to police officers currently in Arizona. The gun holds 4 rubber projectiles.
Outside of having a faulty clip and the thing will sometimes misfire or jam with that clip. Nice piece though and review, even if the other person is armed this will get them off you fast .
FYI....from what I understand Byrna is making a 7 round magazine.

This is something you use on a drunk brother in law. A drunk, or road raging person. Yeah, Someone, on drugs with a club or knife - no way. Lethal force comes in at a club, knife level. I watched videos of the fsc pistol and seen someone tuning it to increase power. Can you do that with this pistol? I seen a lot of complaints about the byrna which is a shame because I really would like to get this instead of the fsc. Do you still like it has it caused you any problems? Have you come across the trigger "sticking" or not firing? I've seen other reviews where that was a problem. i have spoke yo Byrna and they said that problem was resolved. Just wondering if it has happened to you since your video is so new.
So far the only problem I've had was when I tried to reuse a Kinetic round
that I had previously fired. Launcher would not fire. Didn't damage the
launcher, but it wouldn't fire. As far as the trigger, mine isn't a target trigger,
but for what it is, it works just fine.

Pepperball TCP is a much better option. Fresh gas in each magazine which means full power on each reload. Really nice trigger feel, no feeding issues and massively customizable.

I order mine but ended up canceling since I live in California and they can’t send pepper balls I would of still ended up getting it but I saw a review where someone got shot with the kinetic balls and they didn’t even leave a mark they just bounced off there jacket
You can get the pepper tear gas balls in california if you take their 8hrs class on line its more informitive than anything else. You have 90 days to pass it 99 trys and they do give you the correct answers if you miss the question. Costs is about 40.00

The only place that I know of that sells them are Byrna.
You might find something similar on line, but they might not work as well.
That said... If the pepper/tear gas projectiles are prohibited in your state,
I'd reconsider trying to get them. If you had to use them in a self-defense situation,
you might be setting yourself up for some serious legal trouble.
Just saying. I mean, you do you, but I wouldn't chance it. The pepper projectiles, along with
the solid Projectiles are already a serious deterrence.

At that time my primary was a Taurus G2c and my back up was a Ruger lcp 22lr.
I switch up from time to time. Sometimes I carry my Glock 17 Gen 3 as my primary and
a Remington RM380 as a backup.
I've had very good experience with reliability with these firearms.
This works well for me.

"Self defense system" is a clever marketing way of saying overpriced air pistol.
There are paintball guns capable of shooting full metal first strike rounds at 300+ fps. We are talking about a non deforming round carrying 60+ joules and stabilized by rifled barels.
I wonder if felons can legally carry one of theses guns ?

If they have a gun and all you have is the byrna, you will not win that fight. Shooting them with byrna probably gives you a slight chance to give away. Just saying.
Yes, they may return fire. But NOT very accurately. The idea is to get yourself to a safe location or at least mitigate the situation.

Dude this is a great alternative for self-defense.
Although it's consider non lethal, this could do some considerable damage to
an attacker. A few shots of this launcher to the chest, neck or facial area, would be
(in my humble opinion) very effective! And that's just using the Kinetic projectiles. Mix that with
Pepper projectiles and you have a VERY EFFECTIVE DETERRENCE!

just my own opinion about this thing, but if you started shooting me with one of those i might not know it was non-lethal in time to stop my counterattack against what i'd probably perceive to be a lethal weapon being fired at me. maybe they should paint it bright orange or something at least. similarly what would bystanders think when they see you shooting people with this thing ... just things that come to my mind.
They offer several different color options that may suit you. I have the grey/black one.
If you were shot with 3 quick rds of byrna max there would be no counter attack. You're going to be blind & in a whole world of shit. You do not want to get shot with the max..trust me.
Reading and research can be your friend. Try it sometime.
