Had one. Cool if you are doing brackets and stuff without a lot of lines. If you plan on doing anything with a bunch of lines of gcode be prepared to make multiple files for that project. Ram in the control unit is one weak spot.
Yeah I’ve found that I’ve I do multiple cuts of the same part… it always does weird things after the 2nd or so part.. so I just do one part… move the metal and so on… annoying but the amount of times I’ve had it fail and then have wasted metal
@@frankconsidine5989 I 100% agree. I’ve learnt so much and now I’m finding I’d prefer a 1200x 1200 or so… Langmuir crossfire pro. The boys at boosted bois on TH-cam have one. Looks sick
Quick tip.... mount the torch on the plastic part of the torch not the ceramic cup...much better probe results and you can change consumable without removing the torch form the holder... There is a "sort" button to sort from inside to outside to avoid the cut the outside first problem
Thanks for the info. Yeah the sort function would sort all the cuts. Some of the cuts needed to be the opposite of the others. I ended up setting up the cut paths in fusion 360 and got it to work properly that way 🙏
I tried what you said. It’s definitely better on the ceramic cup on my machine. The plastic section on mine is slightly tapered and it’s impossible to ensure the torch is square to the material. Thanks for the info but I keep it where it is until I upgrade to a proper torch.
To be honest, I’ve only ever calibrated once… which was in this video haha. I believe it’s a set and forget thing unless you’re having issues. Have you just purchased it?
Yeah just purchased mate. I can’t seem to get the intitall calibration to within the spec suggested in the manual. I have a level bench and level unit and it still won’t calibrate to within .05mm of 313mm I spent 4 hours today trying to just calibrate it. Doing my head in 🙄
Awesome. You’ll love the arcdroid. Mark my words.. you will need to spend allot of time learning it!. Haha I think I’ve spent 10 hours so far in the first week of having it. The saw I have is from tool warehouse. Metaltech MTBS8S 1100w Heavy Duty Industrial Swivel Head Metal Cutting Band Saw.

I sure do. I realised this after making the video and the coordinations when moving the arm weren’t matching what I was seeing on the screen. This is a result of breezing over the video of how to set this up… if I had on read the instructions on the website, I would have seen that the two half moons on the front edge of the base plate were for the triangle. 🫡
This channel is so underrated. You should get way more subs.
Thanks buddy!. I’m really trying my best. Fingers crossed it’s only a matter of time before I get noticed 🙏
That’s an awesome machine. Great idea to mount it to your table well done!
nice build, looks factory. that is an awesome machine, so fast!
Thanks 🙏. Once it was painted, I stood back and thought it looked factory 😎
Love those arcdroids👍👌🇦🇺
I completely agree!. I’ve had my eye on one for so so long!. First saw it on grind hard plumbing co 😎
@@Fab-Life444 there is a slide rack available too. Comes with a linear encoder so the droid knows where it is👍👌🇦🇺
@@adhawk5632 I purchased it but it was on back order so I’ve left it for a future purchase. Most of the things I’ll cut will be small anyways 😀
Very cool gadget. Looking forward to more. Subbed here!
Thanks heaps for subscribing!. I appreciate it allot. More videos to come of me getting some practice on this gadget! 🙏

@Fab-Life444 Yeah, I moved on to a full table now.sit was a good starter machine, but not for what I'm trying to do.

I’m actually super keen to change the torch clamped position like you said. Thanks again for the info. I’ll change it tonight
