Work like a hundred years ago. If there had been no unions in the industrialized countries, we would still be working like this. The machines that are being worked on here have probably been running in the USA or Europe for 50 years. The workers don't even wear hearing protection, but the owner of the factory probably drives a Mercedes or BMW. And his children study in America or England.
Henry Ford perfected the assembly line, instituted the 8 hour day and the 40 hour week and he fought unions until the thirties. The desire for efficiency is what drove American industry to where it is today.
@@matthewgibbs6886 i also worked on machines from nazi gemrany and they work the same as day one. but still with about 100 times the safety standards. i i got a mistake or faliure i loos part of an finger. they loose an leg, arrm or they live.
As the head safety officer for Pakistan, I approve of the safety sandals and the safety pyjamas worn here. The quick voices you hear, are the result of the furnace gasses. Though our product is shit, we do sell a lot. It sells fast because it breaks fast.
I like how the video is made. Good quality start to finish. But, can you also post on the screen what "EXACTLY " is being made? I'll keep watching. ❤ Not just this one video. All of them.
Definitely some inventive and industrious individuals working too hard in dangerous conditions for what I'm sure is too little pay, but let's be honest, those tennis balls looked absolutely terrible. As well as the scissors, shears, and blowers they made. And the paint job on the Captain America shield? 😬😳😬 Don't get me wrong it's commendable what they can accomplish with old machinery and I wish them all the best, but laying the paint template flat so you don't spray onto the wrong color wouldn't take any more effort. That guy just DGAF. Usually you see questionable safety and methods in these videos but the finished product still comes out surprisingly good. This was not one of those times.
Look at the thumb a d fingers of the man sharpening the scissors they were all bounded by rapes here and there dont they use gloves to protect themselves?
The Captain America shield stood out for me. A complicated and difficult build, but the painter clearly has no idea what the actual shield looks like. So easy to fix too.
I know they excel at Double Handling, but this is ridiculous. 15:04 He's literally moving them less than a meter away and then lifting them another meter away up onto the machine. Wow. How does the owner of the business not see this as double handling / wasting time?! And they do it almost at every single stage of every part of the job ...no matter what the job is. It's mind blowing. Look up the definition of "Double Handling" if you don't know what I mean.
No, I want more manufacturing here in the USA, if it’s fair we won’t make it there. Why burden us with regulations that no one else on the planet respects.
this video is a good mix of the manufacturing might of great India, the amazing capabilities of these determined people and the limitless works mankind can achieve when we work together... combined with a small but present dose of egregious corner-cutting, inadequate production standards, and criminal working conditions.... and f****** flip-flops, everywhere, even at the steel mill and foundry
Where is this filmed. Barefoot and working on the floor? Can you imagine the increase in productivity with even a small amount of cash to upgrade this facility?

Как это ни странно, но пакистанские ножницы очень хорошие. Не Золинген конечно, но вполне себе. Особенно портновские. Предварительная подготовка металла отличная, практически кованная.
These guys are going to be at some point, blind or partially blind, deaf or have some sort of lung disease. Not to mention nobody has boots on and very few wear gloves. The fact that they are tac welding with dark shades or just glasses is crazy. I get everyone has to make a living but damn safety is extremely important in the line of work they are doing. Much respect to them!
I know a lot of people make fun of the techniques or safety standards of what's going on in these videos. I do it too. Though I know it's out of frustration, I feel bad for these dudes. Our complaints and jokes are like wishes. I want them to be successful and I admire their tenacity and ingenuity whether they do it just to put food on the table or survive in general.

Nice to see these OSHA training videos. 😏 it is easy to see why American can never compete in the world Market for manufacturing. It costs us too much to produce the same product.

And risking things with no PPE. I couldn't do that.
They dont know the difference
Amazes me how they walk around in sandals with 2000 degree hot metal just inches from their feet.
