Have a 2019 GT350 & love it. Submitted for allocation of a GTD, but we'll see as I'm not a serious track guy, TH-cam influencer, or famous car enthusiast...just a joe blow that would love to get a GTD.
I think the GTD has a little too much power to be compared to the GT3rs, a little unfair. Remember that the gt500 was a good comparison to the Gt3rs with very similar times on most tracks. I think the Gt2rs will be a better comparison.
Just saw a GTD at chicago auto show in person. Such a menacing look with all the aero channels and a huge wing. As a motorsports fan I love that ford made this. Despite that I would rather have a 911 gt3 at that price :P
Speed Phenom Great Video I'm sorry to hear that you don't have any news on your GTD Application and I hope you get an Update soon and I think it's awesome that you gave Mr JWW shout out and I think you two should Collab sometime
I know people talk about the GTD's $300,000 price, but this is deja vu. Think back to the 2000s when we had the Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM and the BMW M3 GTR Straßenversion (E46). Both of those cars were VERY expensive, coming in not far in price behind a Ferrari Enzo. This Mustang GTD is pretty much the new BMW M3 GTR. Except we'll actually see a decent quantity of these on the road.
Note : When the Demon Manufactures Sticker price started at $110,000 and went to $150,000.. then you get the Dealership Markups. The Dealer calls them Add-ons or Market- Adjustment, Price is $380,000 to $400,000.... It's February 12, 2024 and I have footage of Realistic Prices from Ford Dealership from 3 weeks ago. If this is as Special as the Ford GT expect to Pay before entering Finance for the Mustang GTD Dealership Markup to be at $700,000 to $800,000. 👨🏻👍🏻🏎🏎🏁🏁🚩🚩
I did see that DRS, magnesium wheels and custom colors optional... something about possibility of painted stripes. Also car on front and rear valances an option over whatever Ford is using for standard Mustangs. I believe it will go close to 500k with all options.i wonder what will be available as far as interior and creature comforts. Will it be stripped down? May e gouges instead of screens? In either case, thanks for sharing the journey. I hope you get one. You could give a fair assessment given you have driven some great cars on the track.
500k is shoving it out of it's competition price range, it would be a poor move from Ford if that is the case, I personally don't see it passing 400k, but that's simply my opinion on the best competitive strategy they can have, honestly I would have preferred if the car was 300k fully loaded and would get cheaper with less options on, meaning the base car was 250k. I'm not sure how expensive it is to make these cars, probably way more than 300k (people don't realize how much of a bargain most cars are even at these prices) but it wouldn't hurt too much to lower the price, maybe.
@@Tula-SR what competition are you talking about? It's a road legal gt3 car with 800 hp...not some jacked up road car like 911. Race version easily will cost you 600k
I would expect this to be in the 350k range. 20k for wheels and 30ish for DRS. Paint is probably 15k. There will not be ADM since this is a direct to customer car like the GT. Ford said 1000 units. If so, it will be extremely hard to get for those of us not already selected. This amount of HP and aero places it against the upcoming GT2RS. I think that car is slated for 2028. If the target is the GT3RS it is punching below its class. Plain and simple it falls into a GT2 spec more than GT3. Which for those that don't know is a non HP restricted car with less aero. Similar to what an AMG black series is. Don't forget the 2 year contract to not sell. I would also expect there to be some other requirements in this new contract. Something along the lines of X number of public events / shows / charities and other opportunities for the public to come into contact with the car. IE HPDE or club events. I say this because of the limited production and those who didn't do that with the GT or sold it quickly for 2x.
Has Ford made a production car that can be hot lapped/raced for a full fuel run yet? And starving for fuel in the corners below a half a tank doesn't count. Because other than the GT I don't know...

Good luck, Lawrence! Well, if you're a Joe blow, I must be Joe suck!😂Peace
I really hope you get one Austin. You deserve one and I really want to see you track it. Good luck
GTD vs GT3 RS is gonna be exciting to see!!

We won’t see this on the road… this car will be limited production. It will be as rare as seeing a ford GT on the road. Which is never

You won't see one in a dealership and there won't be markuos because it's purchased direct from Ford.
Austin, you rock! Hope you get an allocation. Peace
I'm hoping to get a dark horse R myself, full track car half the price.
Hope you get one!
Lol I do too😁 he's gonna actually Drive that Mf

Good luck to all you guys 🤞🏾🤞🏾
Would prefer a street Legal GTD-R with a 8000rpm 540RWHP/600BHP 5.4L Naturally Asperated V8 and would would weigh 220.5lbs/100kg less than a GTD.
Which do you prefer ford or Chevrolet
What do you think it weighs
Buy one!!
I wish Ford would not be like Ferrari. As far as more hoops to jump through to own a car. Ford should build as many badass vehicles as possible.
Great update..that is a nice car

Only problem with ford is I don’t trust them with gt500 cftp let alone a GTD
Will they be allowing bigger volume dealers allocations ? Most Butcher the Build Spec...don't need any spots wasted 🤣🤣 Good Video and Informative
Enjoy that coat hanger they call a wing 😂
Ain’t no way in hell I’m spending $400,000 on a Mustang. So many great cars for less than that
Oh wow. You have hair. You're always wear a baseball cap. I thought you were losing your hair like Parker from vehicle virgins.
