I think my mind works like yours...the more I listen to your rationale, I find comfort. Guess that's why I love watching your videos. I have also begun to look at patterns to downsize them to make it easier to display in our home. We are at that stage in our lives! Your Tannebaum quilt is just beautiful, by the way. Fall is the season where I begin my "wintering" mentality and enjoy days of quiet stitching.
Anna, as always I loved spending time with you in the Bee Hive. You are my inspiration in everything Quilty or indeed anything that requires using a needle. I am progressing very slowly on my Primitive Gatherings Twilight Gardens wool applique quilt blocks. I picked it up today and worked on it for a few hours today, first time in a couple of months. My husband had a stroke in late August so my mind has been focused in other places, but it did feel good sitting and stitching today. Until next time.
The tree quilt is so pretty! The quilting is amazing! Hopefully seeing your’s will give me some inspiration to make mine! Always enjoy watching Quilt Roadies and Stitch Roadies!
Anna I had to chuckle when you said you couldn't figure out that quilt pattern I wish I had Cheryl next door because I have that same problem!😂 Thanks for sharing great time! Have a great week!❤
Thanks for sharing, Anna. You could make you Cupa quilt into a couple of table runners. They would look great on a coffee table, dining table, or bar. I know the delima! It is real! LOL I like to use my table runners to also hang on my walls. I usually have at least 3 hanging in different skinny spots on my walls. I made my own custom wood hangers so I can easily swap them out as I please. See you next time! Happy quilting.
Thank you Anna. I watched criws perform a death ceremony. It was amazing. I was parked up beside some grass where there was a dead crow. Another crow landed and walked around it then started calling out. Many other crows landed and formed a ring around them and started cslling out. This lasted a good 20 minutes before they flew off again. It was quite something to see. They really are very smart.
I am grateful for your soft encouraging voice and being a bit of armchair traveler as I am following you through your travels in and out of the bee hive 🐝 You prepared your blocks for a small quilt but I got to thinkin (as I always do-literally 😝) So there I was thinking that I might go BIG and make it LARGE. You just suck me right into your happy little vortex of creativity and I’m done for! Anna-I appreciate you. 🙂
I have a weakness for fabric, I just LOVE fabric....you are correct, we can't buy it all or use it all. But I've come to realize, the sheer joy of shopping and buying fabric I love with my friends and just dreaming about what I could make IS the happiness......
Quilting can be aerobic for sure, I have stood for the last 4.5 hrs. Lifting fabric boxes, going through and purging and putting back. I am no where near finished but am sitting down with a cup of coffee and you before I resume. All the purged fabrics will go to my quilt club. Thanks for visiting today. ❤
Hi friend! Love your fun projects! I do have to organize my projects for sure! I have two quilts that need done by spring so I'm going to buckle down. I literally laughed out loud when you commented about "beating a dead horse" being gross. Word origins slay me and the things we say sometimes does make be laugh. Well, time to get floss on the needle and relax with some tea before it is time to "hit the hay" LOL and start the dreaded work day all over again. Love you friend. Hugs from NE Ohio.
Good morning Anna, Just wanted to share again, how very much I love your TH-cam channel.!!! And yes, I feel and understand getting ready for the cooler weather that is coming. I'm also making sure to have a number of projects lined up and ready to get started working on. You are just my favorite TH-camr!!! Love all the sharing and honesty you give during your time on screen. You just keep me smiling and LOL all throughout your screen time. Keep it up. Congrads on your sons' books, they are nice. You go girl, love that sweatshirt.! Anna, we just don't have enough hours, days, months, fingers, hands to do ALL THE STUFF we want to do.!!!! And yes, you are preaching to the chore. What beautiful handwork with the Cuppa project. I truly understand about the threads. I have sooooo many extra DMC flosses of the same colors that I have a container for keeping them in, on rings. Happy Fall and keep stitching, quilting and all the fun stuff you do with your hands. Blessings from Alberta of Southern, MD.....🎃🎃🎃🎃
I’m liking Elsbeth and Matlock..,entertaining. I’m working on baby quilts 2 down and 2 youth and 1 adult to go before Christmas. Are family is growing like crazy… by Feb we will have 18 great grandchildren. 🤦🏻♀️ Cutest story our four year old granddaughter was here last night and I told her she was just so stinkin cute and she didn’t miss a beat and said I don’t stink 😂😂😂 Thanks for the visit always enjoy ❤️
So many projects, I'm sure you are not alone in feeling swamped but wanting to do them all. Have you ever thought of doing a fabric book? Your Sue Spargo blocks would be good for that. Flip through the pages and feel all of the stitching...mmm nice!
Happy to visit with you tonight. In the past couple of months I have begun pondering the kits I have and am parting with several. Times and tastes change. I usually keep all my Valdani in separate plastic boxes by color. I have been doing several fall and Halloween projects and haven’t put them back….then can’t find them. I think your idea of making a smaller Cuppa is perfect! 🥰
Anna, I do the same thing, I feather my quilt room with cozy projects that will see me through the winter. I have so much cozyness, I've become ridiculous. I could do some swedish death cleaning...
😂I took out all the threads and wools from a Sue Spargo block of the month that I now don’t think I’ll do, and put them together with the other thread and wool stash that I have. I do have quite a few duplicates, so now when I take out a project I shop there first before buying more. Works really well for me.
Try reading "A Girl Named Zippy" a memoir by Haven Kimmel about growing up in very small town Indiana. The author reads it. Crazy, funny, some heart-string pulling.
Choir here! Not as many projects as you have but… I still want more! What’s wrong with me? Shucks, hoping you were going to take that Sue Spargo cruise to Hawaii. I’m in Hawaii, I could have met you at the dock and took you for lunch! ❤ Another idea for those Cuppa blocks…what if you used some to make pillows too! 😊 Have a great rest of your birthday month!🎉
When I hear crows near my place I know the owls are here. Like both so I let them deal with it. Winter is coming and I am planning my projects. So much to do and so many decisions. One at a time is what I’m going to do.
Anna - that was a lovely visit! I just love that you finished the tree. It’s cool 😎 to see you change up your projects and personalize them - the coffee bag is fabulous and the hanging will be as well! Maybe you & G need a “barndominium” as a family vacation retreat center so that you can have more room for all of the family’s creations? That could be fun. ;)
I'm totally off topic, but I just came back from a crafty weekend. I got four UFOs quilted! But I made a promise to myself to clean off my sewing surface and put my serger there and made myself a fall shirt. It's nice to change things up! I'm almost finished. I'll need to hand sew the hemming. I'm never happy with how a machine hems it .
I agree about Sue's projects. I have not put borders on Homegrown or Forest for the Trees. Not just because I wanted a smaller footprint, but I am not a fan or borders in general. I did Freshcut with the border but I don't think I will do Tradewinds with one either.
I try to keep track of what threads are in WIPs bags via my Cross Stitch Journal so if they're not to be found in their proper home or mentioned in the Journal I'm safe to replenish my stash. Otherwise it was too easy to reorder threads I may not use again anyway. I'm sure some threads I've had for years and never used from the early days when I achieved a full set of DMC for example! The Christmas tree quilt is looking very good by the way.
Hello Anna. Great to see a new video from you this morning. I love the fabric that you are using for this new paper piecing project. Can you tell me the name of the line? I can see that in another project that I'm interested in. Glad that you are getting a bit of rain. wish that northern Ca. could get some. Take care till next time we meet.
I also “lost thread” by putting it in a project box. I now keep it in a centralized dedicated thread area. I think it works better that way. When I start the project I just gather up the thread. if I take a break from the project I have to decide whether I want to return it. That’s the only dilemma. Let me know if there’s a better way.
I have been revisiting projects to see how I can tweak them to make it easier to finish and the Cuppa blocks have been on my mind. Do you have a video to show how you prep your blocks? Maybe we need an accountability group 😊
Anna, with your Cuppa- how about 2 across and 6-8 down for a wall hanging or can also become a table runner??? Just a thought🥰💕 I also watch Survivor since season 1, big brother and although I love the mountains, am not a favorite of the Summit. Love Kathy Bates, but cannot get into Elsbeth. Lol❤❤
Hi Anna I’m a new subscriber and I noticed that you have the arrow sewing chair that I have been looking at. Could you please let me know how you like it as it is a bit pricey Thank you. Loved the video. Glad to be with you!!!
I’m making the Woven Hearts quilt but I want to make it smaller. Anyone out there that has already made it smaller and wants to share their layout? It takes me about 30 minutes to make each block and there are 70 of them. I may be slow but it is taking a long time. I love how the blocks are turning out but it’s just taking a long time. Did I say it’s taking a long time🤣🤣🤣 I have a lot of projects I want to get to but I don’t like to have more than one or two quilt projects going at a time. The older I get I start thinking about what I will actually be able to finish and think I should give some of my projects away but then on the other hand I can’t part with them. Oh the dilemma is real. Take care
A possible solution... Sell the finishes or UFO's you have no room for. Quilt Roadies MERCH!! You reduce the clutter, reduce the noise of the unfinished, and gain cash to go on cruises. Just sayin...
I think my mind works like yours...the more I listen to your rationale, I find comfort. Guess that's why I love watching your videos. I remember when you started cross stitch I was amazed at your monogamy re your projects. Glad you ended like most of us. Jen x

My daughter went to the Quilt Shop in Utah. She got me the truck kit with enough wool for a second pillow. Thanks for tempting me.

Hi I am a fabric hoarder but no one is the boss of me :) Love the sweat shirt! and you! Take Care from sunny Arizona as always lol!
You are very motivating. Thank you for adding beauty to the world through your videos!

Pillow Talk, I loved that movie..
Your all I need to get going again, cant wait for tomorrow.
Thanks for the visit! Huge hugs❤
The Cuppa blocks would look great vertical or into pillows for your bench.

I watch PBS series'. I'm a need. Lol

Ok wait…what is this water pen? Like a starch pen?
Where did you find the Laundry Basket Kit??????
What is the name of the Christmas tree quilt behind you that you said you needed a binding ?
A possible solution...
