Anna, you would be such an great presenter at a Guild meeting, morning or evening. Love to hear your stories and off the cuff is good as not scripted. Enzo looks like you wore him out with your travels and organization. 😂 Your yazzi bag is perfect and the quilts at the end were beautiful.

Thank you for another great video!
It was fun to hear you talk about Silverton. I've lived here for over two years now and it's such a special place.
And your new Yazzi bag will be perfect for holding so much fabric for the quilt class!
The tomato pincushion quilt hanging behind you is so beautiful!!

I can’t imagine anything more enjoyable than spending an afternoon sitting and stitching with you and other like minded people. I’m part of a small group that gets together every Monday afternoon from 1-3, it’s always a great time. Sisters Quilt Show is definitely on my bucket list, hope I get there someday. I agree, every one needs their people. Take Care!

Anna, I just needed to Thank You for great presentations at our Salem Guild- named “Mid Valley Quilt Guild this past May. It was such an inspiration to see your quilts! And then, sitting in on the “Sit & Stitch” group was really a hoot! The stories and laughter was great! And then having you meet Bonnie Hunter & Kathy Schmitz ‘s mom - Marge McCanse. Who is a treasured member of our guild!
The complete day was a treasure to all. And many of the ladies continue to talk about your presentations! You are such a joy to meet and I loved meeting you! ( I was the gal who asked you why you didn’t have a name tag ) not realizing who you were. I did apologize to you and felt like an idiot! Anyway, Thank you again for your ideas.

You’re so right about sit & stitch times at guilds, girlfriend! My friends and I left our guild because every meeting (twice a month) was about needing volunteers, and repeats of info that was all in the newsletter, with the occasional speaker and class. Too much business and not enough time for friendship. Yes one of us could have become president and turned the guild into what we wanted, but we didn’t know what all the other members would think about that change.

I’m not the tornado in my sewing room, my partner is. He uses my adjustable height sewing table (which is awesome) as a desk when he is paying bills or doing necessary paperwork for his job. I don’t mind that he does this, but he gets out a new pen every time he needs one. So when I go in to sew, which is not everyday because I work too much and am tired, I have at least 10 or 15 pens, stamps, tape, envelopes, hole punchers, scissors and sometimes screwdrivers, measuring tapes and his mail to relocate. Drives me bonkers. Him not putting anything away ever is the price I pay for all the wonderful that he is. 😊 Thanks for the video. It’s fantastic as always. Have a great week.

Oh Anna, I get so tickled watching you. I wish you were my neighbor! lol thinking about the trouble we could get into. I have also gone down so many rabbit holes…watercolor & acrylic painting, spinning, knitting, weaving, jewelry making, sewing, quilting & every kind of hand stitching. Of course I have to have all the goodies for them so I have the same storage issues. I like to be very organized but still can’t find stuff! 😂.

I'm so very glad I discovered you! I was a stitcher (x-stitch and needlepoint) before I returned to my love of fabric and began a very slow-going relationship with quilting!. I love that you have more than one interest in these wonderful arts! I am very organized in other areas of my life, but my "sewing room" is very much in need of attention. Glad I'm not alone in that, but you do truly inspire me to "get on with it"! Thanks for taking the time to chat with us...

Really enjoy your programs. I have a son incarcerated and they get one hour a day out and most of the time it doesn’t happen. When it does it is often inside a day room. Not good at all. I agree that children should have more outdoor time. Especially little boys.

Enzo looks like I feel after going to a small Quilt Show on Friday! Queuing for my ticket and chatting - as you do - with the lady behind me who said "I don't NEED anything" and I agreed but I bet she also spent up and filled a bag! I actually bought more for embroidery - coloured linen, needle minders and a kit to embroider and make a large Sewing Box for supplies. I spent my money on 3 Yazzi bags at our UK largest Festival of Quilts last year instead of fabrics. I really need to make room and use some up!! The problem is finding time and I tend to work on what my hands/eyes can cope with unless I'm making a gift and I still struggle at times since Covid. I will look forward to your videos of Sisters Quilt Show and the lesson and sessions once again as I do every year. Thanks Anna.

Thank you for sharing your sewing circle experience. So true there is nothing like a quilting/sewing group to bring out the best in life. My Wednesday night group met for over 25 years! I retired and moved 100 miles away…Wednesday nights are so extremely lonely! I need to find a new group and get my life back….

I completely agree with you about the "community" of guilting. I have been advocating for joining a group or guild of stitchers for many years. Back in 2020, when I was missing my friends, I wrote an article about this as a guest columnist and was happy to see it was picked up by several NE Ohio papers. If you search for "Your local guild guild dinosaur or hidden gem" you may find it online. We have a monthly sit and stitch or quilt with our quilt guild. I have to be with my tribes. Thank you for encouraging everyone, because I know there are alot of closet quilters out there who could use some support. Quilters Unite! Hugs from NE Ohio.
