Thank you. Was looking way to do this for a while and your tutorial is very helpful. Just a quick question, if I need a couple of layers of ropes, is there an option to turn that on in the attribute editor? Like in the video, there is only one layer. But I am looking for ways to run a few rounds inside the circle in the middle. How could that be done? Thanks
Use curve tool to create the layers and bends of the rope then use sweep mesh to create the geometry if you're using Maya 2023. That would be the quickest way.
So beautiful! Now I won't ever hesitate to model rope!🤩
The best and easiest Tutorial on creating ropes I've seen! Thank you so much! :)

@@3dwolf Hi, I just have one questions. do you know if I made a rope sweep in maya 2022, can I import to maya 2020 before delete history ?
I was wondering about the UV mapping for something like this. That's fantastic if it's automatically UV mapped with a straight shell.
Fantastic, thank you so much!
You're welcome
About the Uvs ? It’s already unfolding or how we can do for it unfold
